    One tips when mixing directly on the airbrush cup, pour in the thinner first then the paint… so no risk to clog your nozzle with un-thinned paint, just my 2 cents 😉

      @BUNKER6  2 года назад +6

      Totally. I sometimes do that first but in this case forgot to. Great advice none the less! Thank you!

      @@BUNKER6 If you add 2-3 drops of drying retarder in first and also some into the colour mix it will even take longer to clog the nozzle.

    The organisation boxes are a great idea.
    I'm thinking that's part of what's "upset me" over the years and why I needed a break.
    When I get back into it I think I'm going to take a leaf out of your book, organisation being key as I go.
    Sorry for all the comments today, been binge watching haha.

      Binge watching is the future!
      Honestly the big game changers for me were just making each step smaller instead of overwhelming myself with a fully built model. The idea of painting a fully built model fills me with dread. Especially complex stuff like Death Guard etc. I know the pros can do it just fine. But as a beginner I prefer the sub assembly method for now.

      Yeah I keep forgetting to turn off the auto setting in my camera for the end shots. The auto setting is keeping things too bright rather than the lighting being too bright. But I feel you. Thanks!

    I love painting in sub assemblies. I hate all the preparatory work though, and then putting it all together is super stressful

    • @BUNKER6
      @BUNKER6  3 месяца назад

      It’s definitely a pros vs cons dilemma. Some things about complete builds make things easier and then sub assembly can make other aspects easier.

    I don't know if this is a problem with a low-humidity area like Arizona, but I've found that using PVA glue for basing means the entire basing material will separate and fold up off the base! I've been able to superglue it back down, but like you I now only use superglue for my basing material.

    • @BUNKER6
      @BUNKER6  2 года назад

      Amen!! PVA is good for scenery stuff once it’s sealed for sure. Super glue is super for a reason ha ha

    • @BUNKER6
      @BUNKER6  Год назад +3

      Yep! You don’t need to paint to a very high standard as it becomes very expensive due to time spent. That’s how you make money. Also a client asks how in depth they want you to go. Do it as good as you can while still making the most of your time. That’s how any good business survives. Go make some money! But if your comment was just to be snarky then at least you know you can still go and make some money!

      Thanks for the question JC. This track is called GTMH and this is the instrumental version. You can find it on the “Carissimi” album which is my second to last album released in 2021. New video is being recorded at the moment. Been a hectic 2023 so far. But getting back on schedule at last. Next video is a bigger version of a BFG model. It’s taking ages to paint. But hopefully worth the wait. Cheers for sticking around!

    I’m new to warhammer looking for a faction to start with, why don’t ppl generally like tau? I hear there’s all kinds of hate for that faction what’s the problem? Ppl don’t like being gunned down from a distance? Lol

    • @BUNKER6
      @BUNKER6  2 года назад

      Hey! So the problem is generally speaking rules. The same can be said for factions such as Dark Eldar and Eldar too. I would collect and paint what excites you and keeps you invested in the hobby. I don’t play the game personally so other peoples gripes are not much concern. Good luck!!

    • @grisben
      @grisben 2 года назад +1

      You just collect them to paint them? Interesting

    • @BUNKER6
      @BUNKER6  2 года назад

      I’ve been collecting since 1994. I appreciate the models and the lore. I actually collect a game called “Epic 40k” that is discontinued but has a thriving community. It’s great for beginners as the scale is 6mm instead of 28mm. So less commitment initially. Check out my other videos if you’re interested!

      People also kinda don't like how Tau began as the "good guys" of the 40k universe. This has diminished with the addition of vaguely Orwellian elements, but some people still don't care for the collectivistic themes.
      Nevertheless, they're still one of my favourite factions in 40k.

    lol paying people to paint your army for you >.< like i get it, you want an army that looks nice and not everybody has the time or skill to make it happen. but to me i feel like playing the game is actually secondary to painting your own minis in warhammer :p take a little bit of time, start small and build confidence. it might take you forever and the first few might not look great but there's just something special about having an army you painted yourself

    • @BUNKER6
      @BUNKER6  4 месяца назад

      My client used to work for GW and had painted many of his own armies. He is now a Doctor and does not have time. I agree with your sentiment, it just doesn’t apply here. Thanks for watching.
