To be fair, I think that's less a T'au thing and more a Blood Angels thing-find me a unit in the 41st millenium that can comfortably eat a death company charge lol
@@geistincarnate thats why i picked BA as my first army. Not only do i love the lore and aesthetic but regardless if win or lose there is something so fun about just committing to a suicidal LEROY JENKINS charge. And Death Company have been very fun to do so with!
Even with bad dice and blood angels dropping left and right, the ones that landed their hits, hit hard. That librarian dreadnaught teleport is a fantastic move that I will be using once I get one.
WOW what a nail-biter! Even though perhaps off-screen Steven gave a lot of assistance as commented in the end 'dice tell the stories'. Yet the perseverance to overcome them as shown by just now tight this match was in itself a story all on it's own! Cheers to both players, the comradery was especially wholesome.
@nickfroese Cool. Another thing I noticed in Round 1 was that you had the Piranahs spot for the 2nd Skyray on the Terminators. The piranahs shot prior to the Sky Ray and the 'For The Greater Good' rule stipulates that the Obersering unit has to be eligible to shoot. Since the Piranahs shot already, it's technically no longer eligible to shoot unless I'm interpreting the rule incorrectly?
@@mantis114 Unless a unit Advanced or Fell Back this turn or is Locked in Combat, it is eligible to shoot, even if no models in that unit are equipped with ranged weapons shooting dosent remove the eligibility
This was such a dam good game!!! So intense and cinimatic with a crazy ending and just good sportsman ship and vibes all around! This was so dam amazing!!!
Nice to see Nick playing the Tau again and, as always, being a ball of infectious chaotic joy. Seeing how things faired for his list here gives me ideas how to tweak my own too! Thanks Nick!
First battle report I'm watching of you guys, and I gotta say, they're the best I've seen. Not too long, understandable, tactical and overall enjoyable! Just one precision : Stephen, you can reroll the hit roll of those Death Company Marines also in shooting at 16:28. And since it's all Inferno pistols (which I love, as a fellow Blood Angels player) it could have made a difference ;) Also, bad luck for failing that roll on the Libby Dread first turn... Thanks for the work guys!
What a fantastic match. Notwithstanding some of those truly bonker rolls, that was wildly entertaining. A great game, with two phenomenal opponents to match. Hats off to you both and to everyone involved.
I feel for Steven. Like maaaaan, I've got my fair share of bad luck, but those dice... Yet, he's a great player, did what he could with resources he had. What a tight game.
Wow, what a game and probably the best I have watched on YT. The landscape was perfect for these factions and you guys just bounced off of one another . Re-match with a completely different landscape and faction 👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻🙌🏻
12:50 This was Space Marine Steve levels of bad luck. Following your opponent's triple 6s up with two 1s and a 2... Rough stuff, man. At least it seemed to curse the dice for damage as well...
In a Warcom article gw said primaris can now wear termie plate so it's entirely up to you whether they're firstborn or primaris. So maybe its not all firstborn lol
8:00 Nick... don't be that guy who measures with a tape, removes the tape, picks up the model and puts it approximately in that area.... mark the distance for the Greater Good!
Hazardous tests are more brutal than 3 mortals when failed, you take 3 mortals if you are a character, monster, or vehicle, but if you aren't any of those, you just outright die. idk if the crisis suits are vehicles or not, but its something to keep in mind when overcharging with more than 3 wound models that aren't monsters, vehicles or characters. Great game guys!!
I love how agressive Nick is with his Tau Breachers. Like you'd think a Tau player would try to stay as far away as possible and snipe you from afar but meanwhile Nick over here is all like Plasma shotguns go BRRRRRRRRR!
The best part about the Tau's shooting is that it makes almost every unit that survives sound absolutely incredible "it took an entire strike force of combined arms to kill six terminators, one still charged out of the glowing hole of lasfire"
@mikek6298 glad he was. Aggressive is the only way tau win right now. Although i do love me some sbox and so glad he did SoS instead of Gladius. 2 favorite stream players. 2 favorite armies.
nick looked like he was winning all game killing unit after unit but steven was slamming on primary, i did not expect the win for nick after he shot one tank, awesome
What a close final score! Love to see the blood angels in action. However, this was a very infantry versus vehicle centric battle. In my experience, in 10th edition whatever army has more vehicles definitely has the advantage. The Blood Angels didn't really have reliable means to remove vehicles whereas the Tao had plenty of guns to kill two and three wound models.
This was a lot of fun and was a really close match! Nick and Stephen trading those three dice was hilarious A few rules errors though. Stephen was using Rites Of Battle (a free stratagem) once per turn when it's really once per battle round, so he was using it twice as much as he should have been. Additionally, he was using it for Command Point re-rolls, when RoB only works on stratagems that target the squad - re-rolls don't have a target and can't be used for RoB.
I just realized that the For the Greater Good rule has finally forced Nick to stop splitting fire. It's like they wrote it for him
you guys are the best, the thumbnails, the choice of factions, the sets, editing, voiceover, etc. keep up the fantastic work!
Glad you like them!
You could truly feel the hurt in each of Stephen's Blood-curdling screams as he fails yet another extremely easy roll
Even with such awful rolls Tau units had the tendency to instantly disappear on the charge phase.
Its not what were known for :D
That does tend to happen to a shooty army

Love how Nick elevates the energy of everyone he plays with! Great match guys!
Stephen is such a great sport even with all those Space Marine Steve style rolls. Great game. I love how much synergy Nick brings to his Tau.
but he still remains the idiot that claimed DG and admech werent underpowered on release in 10th.

I’m really impressed by the scenario design that this board encourages!
When Nick moved those Piranahs in round 1, he automatically forced a battle shock test on the nearby marines (within 12 inches).
It didn't go off, so the editors elected to not include it.

Oh man so happy to see a barracuda in a battle report! It's easily my favorite flyer in 10th

That was way closer than it should have with stephens rolls lmao
Super fun to watch

This was a great game. I love both players and the amount of sportsmanship they show, while the match up was such a fun contrast
I was really expecting him to say Librarian Dreadnought with a jump pack.
Best match I ever seen :D

Great looking table. As a big fan of them I'm glad Nick didn't miss the opportunity to bring Vespids. This table calls for them lol.
That was a fantastic game! Hate to see you go Steve. Wish you were a regular on here. Well played Steve and Nick! What a game!
For some reason, I really enjoy Steven's "he's done well" at 23:12
This was a really cool battlefield. Great battle too.
FOR SANGUINIUS ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Those Blood Angels were hard as nails !!!
One of the best battel reports I've seen on this channel and that's saying a lot as this channel routinely has the best battle reports, period.
Well done Tau Nick! Any army is usable with the right general.
Live watching the 40k in 40m series. Watching Stephen keep his head up through trash dude was amazing to watch. Crazy close game, well played both!
Hey guys, what an amazing game. I had so much fun watching this, keep on making such incredible content!
Wow that was an awesome game! Love to see some Blood angels! 🩸
Truly a heavyweight battle, I enjoy watching both of your content separately, this was epic, keep the collabs coming
Those weren't Blood Angels.... those were Lamenters
Such an awesome watch. Learned a lot in how effective an army can be with just 6 units
thank you all for this one!
12:42 - 12:58 I've never laughed so hard at the result of dices, you made my day with that.
I have no idea how this game works and yet I am always so entertained when watching your videos. Thanks Play On Tabletop!

Love Nick's energy whenever he plays. Win or lose he's always just happy to be playing.
My fav batrep from you so far. The scenery is astonishing, the players were a joy to watch and the dice told an amazing story.
Great to see you guys collabing more and more.
Stephen showed the most life with Nick throughout these games and I genuinely think Nick is very fun to play with!

That was incredibly, horribly tense! Love it, thanks for a great game! :)
