Oh my god, you have such a strong will. Let us know what armies do you choose to play! Also, I suggest buying a 3d printer for you personalisation of battles. Wish you good
@davidowl767 there's no way someone new to the hobby should buy a 3D printer. The investment in to it isn't worth it, unless you end up liking the hobby enough to stick around. I own one, so I'm not anti 3D printers, but know that it isn't something someone new to the hobby should just buy.
Yeah Steve... such a charismatic player, a good strategic mind with cursed rolls, yet always polite, love the guy and Nick always a pleasure to see playing.
If he push every unit he could onto the bridge and stick out nicks first shooting phase he would've had two or three squads right on top of them, in cover and can jump down. Eliminators would've been a better choice for the other side of the board. But this is after I've seen the battle.
I gotta say, I love the whole PoT crew, but the banter and energy between Nick and Steve (especially when Nick is playing Ta’u) is always flawless. A phenomenal game. Thanks gents!
I dislike how many people call Raven Guard forgettable, even if it's true sometimes. I loved playing Raven Guard army rules in previous editions, and my favorite secondary chapter (The Raptors) are also from the Raven Guard. I actually was going to start finding more videos and wiki pages on space marine chapters that I like for my upcoming dark heresy game. I highly suggest even just paging through the wikis to anyone who is even vaguely interested in a chapter, it's highly entertaining and even if you don't read the walls of text completely, it's wonderful material (and helps chapters be less forgettable :) )

I’ve got an Awesome scenario for you guys. 2v2, Imperium is holding a fortress, a last stand effort against the endless threat of the Tyranids who are swarming from all sides. Tyranids win if they can kill all imperium in the fortress. Imperium wins after turn 5 being evacuated off the the planet if there’s any survivors.
Love getting to see the assassins in play! Really fun to see the unique imperial assassins get to run around, especially two in one battle, and alongside other stealthy fellows.
The intro states that the terrain is from a separate company that sells pre-painted terrain, and that it’s their go-to for terrain. Also, you could have the artistic skill to make neat terrain, it just takes time and effort to develop those skills.
@nerdspike209 it's good actually. I don't use invictus tactical warsuits though. I use a lot of snipers, Kayvaan Shrike is a beast. Phobos Librarian is a must as a Raven Guard player. Infiltrators are key, and you definitely need jump pack veterans. I use a lot of Flyers in my Raven Guard and I know this sounds weird, but a lot of Terminators too. My last game was on Monday and I absolutely board wiped with my Raven Guard. 2000pt game, lost four models. Not units, models. I infiltrated 10 Terminators on the board turn 1. Eliminators are amazing, and infiltrators are great too. Attach Phobos Librarians to both. You can't be shot at unless you're 12' away. Knock out characters and pre-measure everything. The key to playing Raven Guard is staying 1 turn ahead of your opponent at all times. People think Raven Guard can only defeat shooty armies, but they can take on anything really well, you just have to plan ahead.

I love this game since my closest friend chose Raven Guard as his "faction" while I'm T'au. So this is almost a prelude to our first match against each other. While I can ignore kinda the cover bonus Raven Guard has, I can ignore the -1 to hit. Plus Shrike can assassinate my characters, easily. It's a fun fight on paper and I'm happy you guys did it. Not to insult Nick - dude rules. But you know, he is a fun guy (not fungi) and sometimes does silly albeit glorious stuff that isn't always necessarily the smartest. His decision to try to make a strong position useless in response to Steve's play was really cool. Such a good game!!

When you look at certain Space Marine heroes they may be tied to a particular chapter. Otherwise, lore wise, Space Marine chapters have particular emblems and colours for their power armour that helps identify them. Most Space Marine units are shared between all the chapters (not all) and some chapters have specific units you can only use in that chapter. Best to do is to take a look in the army builder to see what is available for a Chapter, like Raven Guard.
