A playable stealth suit + drones team is my most wanted Kill Team. It’s what I wanted to play for Kill Team 18 and again in Kill Team 2021. It’s just the obvious Tau Kill Team, at least to me.
My local killteam group house rules Heavy Intercessors and compendium Tau because a lot of us just think they’re cool. Heavy Ints go to 3apl. Stealth Suits get +1 ballistic skill and go to 3apl. They still aren’t amazing, but they are at least playable.
I'm beginning Kill Team, I only played 2 games (I lose both) yet my veteran guardsmen are soooooooooooooo fun and soooooooooooooooo beautiful (maybe my best paint work so far, I painted them as early-1914 French soldiers, with dark blue coat and bright red trousers, they're my gorgeous little deadly babies), I don't even care if I loose I just love playing them
See, this is the attitude gamers should have. Editions tend to be crashed by power gamers who win at all costs. Love of the hobby doesn't come into it and we all suffer. These games are supposed to be fun!
I know it's more filming, but I'd love to see YOUR teams. I along with most have seen the GW stock images 1,000 times. Keep up the good work! Love the channel.
Bro... I can't thank you enough for these videos. First off, you are like 100% watchable! I mean that. There are guys, like Leutin09 in or Baldemort, who I can (and have) listen to for hours on end. Then. There are channels like Auspex Tactics or One Mind Syndicate that have great content but are kinda hard to listen to (I love you guys too!) But you're on the Leutin09 side! I can watch and listen to you talk and talk and talk and love it all! So I've been into WH40K since 1991 when I played Space Hulk with my friend Tim at the Kansas City Art Institute. Just recently have I actually started getting some minis though because I am heading up a Warhammer Alliance Club at the private school I teach at. I have been all over the place on picking a faction and sticking with it for my first army for Tabletop. I bought an Orks Kommandos Kill Team, and assembled them and sold them to one of the kids in the club to have and paint. I have Genestealer Cults Combat Patrol, unassembled, and have lost interest in them. The thing is, I doubt I play an actual ARMY anytime soon. The Warhammer Alliance at school is shaping up to play Kill Team and possibly some Combat Patrols. So I'm looking at Kill Teams which has sounded fun to me since they first appeared. I got ahold of the new starter box set!!! But... then... after waiting for 2 weeks GW refunded me and said it was sold out. I ordered the T'au Kill Team, but it hadn't shipped for 4 days and in the meantime I started looking at the Inquisitoral Agents Kill Team. I love their aesthetic but I just wasn't sure. Then I found your videos and the Omnissiah blessed my cognitive reasoning faculties with cohesion and clarity via your data stream! Yes, I have ordered all the things needed for the Hunter Clade Kill Team!!! I'm very excited about this because I have always loved the Ad Mech! They're just darn cool! And, from Fonzie to the interwebs I hear that "cool is the rule." So, thank you! If you have any other videos on the Hunter Clade I may have missed please point the way. Meantime, and regardless, I will keep watching! Now I need to get some of your terrain for our school!!!
As someone who plays compendium sisters to this day, they are a solid team. I run all battle sisters because two meltas and a combi melta just evaporate enemies off the board. Every now and again, though, I’ll run repentia for that sweet eviscerator action
For Chaos Legionaries, Ive had mixed success with all Nurgle operatives with an Aspiring Champion with the armor buff (not sure of the name), a heavy bolter with suspensors, a plasma gun and packing the rest out with bolters, one with daemon shells. Obviously, this team relied on Malicious Volleys to keep heads down or popped but it works often enough. I'm desperate to pick up an Inquisition Kill Team, of only for the models. I loke the idea behind Kill Team. I dont have the time or an existing player base to play full games of 30k, 40k etc with any more but I like to keep my gamer's hands busy. Being able to build and use several small squads just makes that a possibility, if not actually possible right now.
I've played Kroot, Navy Breachers, Intercessors, Orks and Blooded. I have to say, Blooded were by far the most fun to play so far. Intercessors close second. I've also got Veteran Guardsmen and Hierotek Circle on the way, really eager to try them out.
As a gunuine Resident Evil fan, Plague marines plus poxwalkers kill team is the most fun combination to me. Zombies and mutants rushing slowly and resolutely to a desperate group of survivors, doing their best to stay alive. Yeah, I definetely love that!!!
Great theme song, guys, wish there was a full length version. I just got my KT Compendium, been building teams up and have five of the teams from the book so it just made sense. Hopefully I'll be ready to actually jump into the game soon! Plus that Beastmen box is SUPER tempting!
I'm surprised that you didn't mention the corsairs... based on everything you said you loved about all these teams, it sounds like the corsairs are a perfect fit??
I got the Custodes Combat patrol in my Adepticon swag bag, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, but a Kill team seems to be the way to go. 4 dude and 5 sisters so I can run both variations. Not sure what I would do with the biker guys left in the kit but glad to hear they are fun and easy.
I definitely wanna do killteam/warcry. Might be easier to lure family into playing a small game with me than big games. That & several small very personalized teams could look Great on the shelf.
My favourite are rogue trader - they are like novitate but with even more focus on every character doing their own thing. Also big guy with a minigun + dog combo.
I do really love how you put some of the extra box contents pictures up example: the mechanicus showing the extra figures that could be in the killteam. Oh and for legionary try running aspiring champ: heavy bolter gunner: anointed: gunner with plasma: a couple warriors. The free god specific ploy is incredible from aspiring champ, always use that, the anointed is just gorgeous when he gets in to melee, your warriors can grab objectives and I find setting the heavy bolter and leaving him is unvelievably powerful especially on an objective. You know what to do with a plasma gun lol, I also use plasma pistol and power fist on my champ. I’ve had a good bit of success with this list against a very good Corsair and eldar player. As well as a competent ork player but he’s still a kid lol so I help him beat me usually.
Hey man! I’ve never written here but I just wanna thank you for all the knowledge I’ve learned here. Thank you Jay. AAAAAND, Am I the only one who would enjoy to see you painting a bloodbowl team?
Haven't really got into Kill Team properly yet but got myself the Imperial Agents boarding patrol which has 2 sets of Breachers and Elucidian Starstriders because they were a cool looking set of models covering some things we don't normally see in regular 40K. Also got the Votann team and can probably build a bunch of the other ones.
Scions may go mostly because of Ashes of Faith and not Karskins, because it's about '' is your compendium model can be played in a bespoke team ? ". I wonder if they would Count some classic guardsman as Vétéran Guardsman for this instance.
This summer I gotta get into kill team and this vid helped out a lot in choosing how and what I wanna get into! Might as well get the starter set so I can get both the veterans and kommandos.
Looks like you’ll have to do a follow up sometime and talk about the ones not mentioned here! I play Warp Coven so I’m curious what your thoughts are there
Novitiates are disgustingly good indeed. Having played yesterday vs them with grey knights, repentia 1 rounding one greyknight and superiour killing 2 other 1 shotting with overcharge plasma and and faith point rolling saves and misses. I am only slightly bitter
Most fun are those with fun themes. Orcs are always fun. Personally, I like Alpha Legion Legionaires and Tzeentch Daemons for being able to tell "Just as planned" after an loss. Also nothing beats declaring "Exterminatus" after your Inquisitorial agents get clapped. Winning is always fun, but you can't win every time, so you have to make even losing fun for it to be a great experience all around.
I hope GW talks to you about killteam to ask your opinion about the game, who else has such holistic view of the painting modelling and gaming of killteam
Nice to hear the DG one is good! I’ve been considering picking a box of plague marines up for the purpose of making a kill team with them, perhaps I will bite the bullet
How do you have four plasma on a deathwatch kill team? From what I can tell you can take a combi or plasma gun on your leader, one on the gunner? Unless you're counting pistols on the veteran fighters
So, I’ve got Custodes, the Sisters Kill Team box, and just recently got the Kill Team Warzone Essentials box. What else should I get to start? Obviously the core rule book, but does that include rules for the armies as well? Or do I buy the compendium too? Is there new rules? TIA!
Love the video, but no, Necron! Jay... didn't mention anything about the Necron killteam? We need to do a DNA test to rule out an alien clone Jay replacement.
Noooo grey knights personally one of my favorite teams to play but a little weird if you don’t build them right of preform the right tac ploys or strategic ploys
i run 6 grey knights with dual falchions and i really really like it. The damage is very consistent with all the re-rolls, And once you get the hang of being sneaky with the movement / using the 2+ save on stuff that has to be exposed they're great. Being able to move and shoot or fight twice feels absolutely broken at times.
Before the new edition my 3 favourite teams where 1st compendium Tyranids 2nd Ork Kommandos 3rd intercession But in the new edition it would be 1st legionnaires 2nd angels of death 3rd kommandos Also we need a new Tyranid kill team!

@@FestorFreak I agree I think most of players (and Tau fans) would welcome with tears of joy that 3APL on them
Same here, that is the main squad I want to play 😢
@@FestorFreakunfortunatly my friends begin crying The second my suits turn invisible
thanks for the happiness that you help put into the community with your videos hope that you have a great week
I second this statement
Wholesome content
I got into the game/hobby partly because of his content 😂
I'm beginning Kill Team, I only played 2 games (I lose both) yet my veteran guardsmen are soooooooooooooo fun and soooooooooooooooo beautiful (maybe my best paint work so far, I painted them as early-1914 French soldiers, with dark blue coat and bright red trousers, they're my gorgeous little deadly babies), I don't even care if I loose I just love playing them
I'm painting my veterans the same way! They're super fun, especially when you lose 4 operatives in one activation and still somehow pull off the win
It was an interesting video.
Only downside is we didn't see the teams you painted, would have been better in my opinion.
Bro... I can't thank you enough for these videos.

I like the imperial guard kill team, very beginner friendly and easy to play, but at the same time you can do so much on the battle field

... there's nothing like the aesthetic for those Red Wizards of Mars. Truly... the most inspired looking faction ever created by GW...

Oops all Scion is my favourite kill team to play.
Just love my Sergeant giving everyone tablewide orders, really versatile kill team
I definitely wanna do killteam/warcry. Might be easier to lure family into playing a small game with me than big games.

@14:00 i have been waiting over 20 years for an assult cannon chaos. the havocs must be very fun to use with x4 reaper chain cannons.
My favourite are rogue trader - they are like novitate but with even more focus on every character doing their own thing. Also big guy with a minigun + dog combo.

dumb question, is the compendium death guard team still legal now that the new death guard starter set is out?
Hey man! I’ve never written here but I just wanna thank you for all the knowledge I’ve learned here. Thank you Jay.
AAAAAND, Am I the only one who would enjoy to see you painting a bloodbowl team?
Great episode, the kill team community has slowly been growing here in my area. Again thanks for all the content
Was hoping to get some Necron content. But I am glad to have info on Imperial Guard. Still debating between the two factions.
Now I wanna play kill team… thanks Jay your joy always makes me love the hobby more
You can’t remove the conceal on stealth suits unless you are close, how would you lose a stealth suit in the first turning point?
Would love to see a video of you putting together your adeptus mechanics kill team!
Would love to see your thoughts on each Warcry Warband next!!
Haven't really got into Kill Team properly yet but got myself the Imperial Agents boarding patrol which has 2 sets of Breachers and Elucidian Starstriders because they were a cool looking set of models covering some things we don't normally see in regular 40K. would be cool to hear what you think about the two kill teams in Ashes of Faith when you have played as or against them a few times :)
What about the voidscarred jay? Get those badboys on the table!!!! Thanks for the positive energy as always!!!!
Hearing him describe what he likes to play it feels like a match made in heaven
Scions may go mostly because of Ashes of Faith and not Karskins, because it's about '' is your compendium model can be played in a bespoke team ? ". I wonder if they would Count some classic guardsman as Vétéran Guardsman for this instance.
Yooooo mechanicanicus is jays favourite kill team!
Mechanicus painting video when
"It shoots a can of expired dog food..." 🤣
This summer I gotta get into kill team and this vid helped out a lot in choosing how and what I wanna get into! Might as well get the starter set so I can get both the veterans and kommandos.
Wanting to play the pathfinders, your thumbnail baited me in 😂
I want a custodes/Lucifer black kill team like an old eyes of the emperor as a leader
I'd love a Vespid Killteam. Or maybe Killteams made from some of the other species allied with the Tau.
Started into warhammer with kill team and the death gaurd squad was my second squad ever and what started me getting into other squads and teams
Looks like you’ll have to do a follow up sometime and talk about the ones not mentioned here! I play Warp Coven so I’m curious what your thoughts are there

The best answer to this question is: emo space elf BDSM pirates. HotA is a hoot.
So good! Keep doing killteam stuff!
Great episode! I certainly don’t know about any other news recentleviath-Whoops!
as always a great video!, you just pump out content and its always amazing!!😀
Where would a necron, nid, and the gellerpox teams be placed on the fun/usable list?
Personally still love my Deathguard and Orks, but was curious.
I was wondering the same, seems wrong but it has been a minute since I looked at the rules and played.
Do death korps of krieg still have models in production? I can't find any anywhere
Great episode! I want to see what you think about The Necron Kill Team
I’m picking up a box of the DG Space Marine Heros to use for kill team. Looking forward to it.
Best creator hands down
So, I’ve got Custodes, the Sisters Kill Team box, and just recently got the Kill Team Warzone Essentials box. What else should I get to start? Obviously the core rule book, but does that include rules for the armies as well? Or do I buy the compendium too? Is there new rules? TIA!
Happy Shovel Noises 8:01
How does the rouge trader Killteam play? Anyone know? Thanks gents!! Fantastic as always!!
Love the video, but no, Necron! Jay... didn't mention anything about the Necron killteam? We need to do a DNA test to rule out an alien clone Jay replacement.
"Apex legends board game" Kickstarter project
How do you get to reroll your plasma gun with the Deathguard kill team?
given the new SM hereos are kill team that came out , would you update your list?
Noooo grey knights personally one of my favorite teams to play but a little weird if you don’t build them right of preform the right tac ploys or strategic ploys

Love the channel jay. Keep up the great work
Awesome video👍
I'm actually new to kill team and have been trying to get into it but I constantly get overwhelmed
Do you record any battles? would like to see you play some KT.
I too would enjoy an Eon kill team report with Jay inspired lore for the setting and models. Like a library story hour but 40k style.
I used to dislike the look of orks, but these kommandos made me decide to play
I still don't understand how FNP works. Is it like digustly resilant?
Im currently tryi g to rush my necrons to painted as i really want to see how they fair against my Gellerpox. Thanks for the content my dood!
Jack of all trades is master of none, but better is he than a master of one.
I'm surprised you don't have anything to say about the Thousand Sons Killteam. I'd love to see you tackle the Thousand Sons.
Tnx for making our hobby interesting again
Before the new edition my 3 favourite teams where 1st compendium Tyranids 2nd Ork Kommandos 3rd intercession
But in the new edition it would be 1st legionnaires 2nd angels of death 3rd kommandos
Also we need a new Tyranid kill team!
you should try gellerpox infected, they’re a joy of melee
Great video would love a similar one for warcry
Can kill team characters be used in the normal games?
Some bespoke can, all compendium KT's are regular infantry units with fancy rules.
KT2018 had the advantage of having no dedicated models.
Is there a time stamp with a tier list? Ain't no body got time for words
can i play normal games with the figures?
Love your videos there so entertaining and engaging love it
Your favorite deserves a video painting them
Khorne deamons go brrr but only brr for 2 TP and then you get bored while you get grinded.
Drukhari? Hand of the Archon? Thousand Sons? They can't be that bad, right?
I want a battle sister squad. I don't like novitiates models but I battle sisters are under powered now
I’ve never played Kill Team but maybe I’ll have to dust off the Custodes and SoS
TFW even RUclipsrs forget about the eldar
we need more videos about OPR games
We need more Blood Bowl team painting content
Video on painting the hunter clade confirmed??!! BIG IF TRUE
I fully expect the Compendium Scions are going to get replaced with the stats from Ashes of Faith.
what about the kasrkin?
I love playing tau but the drones aren't really fun but the sheild drones i always have
Can’t wait for the eob marine tutorial
What about Grey Knights?
Video idea : Paint the skitari in blanchitsu to honor john blanche retiring😁😁
Most fun to play? the kill team with the most heavy flamers!!!!
Whenever you all end up doing battle reports I will be very disappointed if Shawn isn't your first opponent.
Ive only played Khornate Legionaries, and its entirely too fun.
