    It's Irish, the idea started out because kids whenever having a sports day at school or what not would always he given a packet of tautology crisps, a chocolate bar and a small bottle of sport soda. Kids used to always get that mixture of chocolate and tayto from eating them together so they made it into one :) it's a childhood flavour most Irish kids remember haha

    Dear Tayto lovers, Regarding the kerfuffle about Tayto's being Irish, my apologies. I had the package that Kat sent me next to me during filming and it was sent via Royal Mail, hence my automatic association to the UK. But she did explained in her note that they were Irish, as noted in the description box. Thanks! :)

    Here's a fun fact for you Emmy. Tayto Crisps are actually the company that invented the flavoured potato crisp/chip. Before then, you could only get them plain or salted. Here in Ireland, we love them in a sandwich. White buttered bread and cheese and onion crisps. Delicious!

  • @ailinos
    @ailinos 10 лет назад +5

    Tayto are so nice! They're so popular in Ireland that they're even sometimes used as a term for normal crisps! Tayto and chocolate are a really popular combination here too so I guess that's where the idea for this chocolate bar came from.

    Tayto is produced in Northern Ireland (where i live). I have been to the factory and yeah it is limited edition bar. I tried this and thought it was lovely 💕

      There are 2 brands of Tayto a Northern Irish one and a Republic of Ireland one. They are completely separate companies that happen to have the same name. This bar is produced by the southern brand. If you had listened while you were on the tour in that factory you would know this. I was there myself.

    That particular brand of Tayto is primarily found in the Republic of Ireland, however there is also another brand of Tayto crisps that are produced in Northern Ireland. The two brands operate entirely separately but they share a similar line of products.
    Different people have different opinions regards to their favourite brand of Tayto crisps, whether it be the "Up North" or the "Down South" crisps :P

    Hi Emmy.
    I think Tayto brought this bar out in responce to the economic crisis in Ireland over the last number of years.
    It cheers people up by giving them a taste from their childhood.
    For a treat, parents would buy their kids crisps, a bar (and a can of Fanta) and the flavours would combine.
    ps Mr. Tayto has an autobiography; Mr. Tayto, The Man Inside the Jacket.
    If you would like to continue your research! lol!

We live in northern Michigan and this time of year construction is going on everywhere. grandma took him to see some construction equipment and they let him ride on it and now everytime he sees any kind of construction equipment he wants to get in it! He dosent understand why he can't ride them all! * sigh...

      I heard from Rhett and Link that there were only 100 000 bars made. Maybe I'm wrong but just letting you know 👓

      Sorry, further research tells me they intended to make only 100 000 but they've sold over a million bars
