Had he not trapped my cat in the first place and my catching him, I'd have never even known he was killing neighbourhood cats and i'd never have a camera facing his backyard. However, I do like that he's so pissed off that he's put a motorhome in there, 2 giant umbrellas and pulled branches from a nearby tree tied down in his yard, so again...nothing to do with his yard being a private love next. He's a fuckin psycho nut bag and I'm gonna catch him. I'm not the only one watching him. He's finally under investigation and the seniors home on the other side of him has also put up cameras facing his place (bylaw officers watching him on those). On my side of this Wendy with my case is me and family and the other families dont kill cats or anything else for that matter along the lines of your neighbour... We all have our own pets ourselves here. My house we have a sweet little cat of our own and adored by my children who has had hostility shown towards him by our lovely neighbour..fact I've seen them with my own eyes not a camera. We have some rabbits also for the children... We feed the birds etc.. So on another point from my perspective which must be said about my odd neighbour is why on occasions if I've been in my backgarden with my 2 year old son minding our own buisness just to add. My Son will be playing, I've looked round to see what he is doing and explain to me why I've then seen either a curtain twitch with a shadow hiding behind it or even I've turned round and suddenly a window gets pulled in shut.... My good lady has noticed this also when out there putting washing out,feeding the rabbits etc.. My two daughters who are in primary school play in the garden obviously aswell and have more people skills than my neighbour will ever have and even my eldest who isn't even double figures in age yet has asked me what is that on the wall of the neighbours house? And why does it have a redlight shining? Hope you get your situation resolved sooner rather than later.
Point a cheap laser at it and if you can prove they are using the audio, that would be a crime under the Telecommunication Act as they are listening in illegally without being part of any direct conversation - check with your local police ... the question still is why are they pointing the camera at your property; do they suspect you of something, did you have a falling out ?

Aim the biggest flood light you can at the camera. If they say anything tell them it's for security purposes like his camera. At least he won't be filming you at night.

You can have security cameras pointed at anyones house. Anything visable from outside the home isnt considered "private" and can be recorded from anydevice as it is in public view. . Want to stop the cam? Put up blinds/curtains.

I have a 7 ft solid block wall fence around my backyard ,I expect privacy in my own backyard, my neighbor can't put a camera up higher than my fence aiming right down at my back door and my patio. That is a complete invasion of my privacy in an area where it is not available for public View.

There's nothing you can do. Unless you got a bunch of money for a lawyer and then you going to have to prove that he has surveillance that actually shows privacy at your house, most likely if he's got a little security camera he cannot see in your windows, it's even hard to see a car tag unless you're right up on it.... As for the other poster IR floodlights from a distance wouldn't really blind the camera even if night vision is on. If anything you would help his camera's see better at night besides the flash light effect only where the IR flood is. Most of my camera's don't use IR lights anymore. Ron Morris Not always I upgraded all my camera's outside to PTZ low light camera's. Doesn't even come with IR on the camera and uses star light or any light to see at night. It's crazy how good it is.

This same guy has been told to stay away from the school playground by school officials. His excuse for the cameras is to film drug dealers. The police have been notified and they say there is nothing you can do until he is caught red handed . He is getting old and losing it .
