No, it sounds happier, but the original sounds epic, challenging.
I was blown away by how this game achieved the goal of being as incredible as A Link to the Past.
I still like ALttP more, but agree that this is a close second. Many of the 3D Zeldas are great, but less replayable IMO since they have a lot more tedium built in (more lengthy fetch quests, longer un-skippable exposition from NPCs, etc). These classic style 2D games just flow so much better
Man... This may be the best 2D Zelda. The painting mechanic gets you thinking about the walls of buildings and cliffsides completely differently, the soundtrack is top tier, (especially this song) the maiamai are probably the best collectible in the series, not too many like the korok seeds in BoTW and ToTK, not too hard to find, and doing the most compared to others, upgrading your weapons and making them infinitely better (especially the magic rods, like, turning a small fireball into a tornado of flames is much better than one bow slot, Hestu.) Hyrule feels so alive, each NPC having a distinct and memorable personality, (I genuinely think Gossip Guy is a better character than most of Groose's buddies in SS) Lorule is easily the best alternate world in the series, not even a competition. And so on, and so forth. This is easily my favorite Zelda game and I will never not have a special spot in my heart dedicated to this game, said spot is visualised by a tiny Ravio dancing.
just got this game again today after my last copy was stolen. I completely agree. This and TP are my 2 favs

No joke, I had to look up what song you were talking about because I really didn't even notice the music changed somehow lol I don't think I really did much in Lorule after I got all the paintings. I think both themes are good, though I do prefer this theme over that one

When I was 7 I played Tri Force Heroes and this game explained so much for me. Also the game is just amazing, the puzzles aren't so hard I have to search up answers, but they also aren't trivially easy.
The endgame version of this theme will never have this SHREDDING acoustic.

I mean.....it IS set in the same world as alttp so it makes sense they'd reuse the dark world theme for lorule too.
@@azuredream9032 Love Link Between Worlds a ton, but I feel like it leaned a bit TOO close to being like alttp.
Would've been fun to see a dark version of a different iteration of Hyrule, or a completely separate kind of adventure in Link to the Past's Hyrule.
Still love ALBW though, and I think it did a way better job than LTTP in both the map and how it handled the dark world mechanic.

I mean I would have to say yes and no because every Zelda game has a different overworld however they are vaguely similar in a sense just take Hyrule field from ocarina of time and Hyrule field from twilight princess for example their both Hyrule field but they look different from each other so therefore Lorule field and the Dark world could be considered to be the same as each other they just look different from each other
The Dark World is the corrupted Sacred Realm, Lorule is an alternate Reality

Here's hoping they don't give up on traditional Zelda games, whether 3D or maybe 2D again
I think that the new ones are good in their own right but they're terrible choices to represent the Zelda series given that they share limited similarities in gameplay elements. I also hope the next game reuses the old formula.
