Just one thing changes from the ending and it's not as special as people would have hoped. It's nice but...well it's not something that should have been saved for a mode as painful as this (4x damage from everything).
With the Red Mail (which grants 4x defense) however, everything does as much damage as enemies would normally deal in normal mode...if Link only had the Green Mail/Tunic...in normal mode.
Besides all that jazz, witness the power of frame blending (also known as "smart resample" for sony vegas users).
inb4linkcantalkandgreeneyes and I still hate my internet...and hero mode hurts me.
It doesn’t have the huge production values and cinematic presentation of something like Skyward Sword or Breath of the Wild, but the ending to this game still remains my favorite. That moment when Hilda realizes that Link and Zelda not only forgave her and even understood her, but that they selflessly used their wish to give Hilda and her kingdom another chance.....just wow.
Same. I was in the high heels of Hilda at that moment, and I too cried tears of joy upon realizing what Zelda and Link must had done to have the Lorule Triforce recreated. A Triforce recreating another Triforce in a parallel universe... It made me think of the Dragon Balls of Namek used to recreate the ones from the Earth.
Bruh, its a 3ds game. Also, its better than skyward sword.
@@showmeyourmoves8551 idk about all that but its ur opinion.
@@showmeyourmoves8551 I agree
@@showmeyourmoves8551 Definitely
"After all we've seen, do we not share the same wish?"

It's not a zelda game till you have to play deadly volley ball with a boss
lol have you even played ocarina of time
Yeah
Shannaro! Baka That is so true
Shannaro! Baka Does that mean Majora's mask isn't a zelda game? xD
A zelda game doesnt even need to be about hyrule or zelda for it to be a zelda game despite the name its the adventures of links that matter, besides she appears in a cutscene so take it as u will
When princess hilda cries at the end, you can tell the poor thing was so happy but emotionally exhausted. I wouldn’t blame her if she went on vacation after.
Maybe I’m reading too deeply into this. But I appreciate how Link and Zelda’s wish was for Lorule to have its triforce again, instead just wishing for Lorule to be saved. They placed the responsibility of Lorule’s fate back into Hilda and Ravio’s hands instead of their own. Giving someone the means and tools to fix their own problems is far better for them, than just doing it yourself.
The triforce literally holds the land together
Restoring the triforce is really all they needed
In many ways, it's their reward and their punishment. They have the triforce back, but they will spend the rest of their lives making things better. Hilda has a lot to make up for, for how Lorule ended up and Ravio has to make up for running away. This is their sentence from Link and Zelda. Be the example, don't try to take shortcuts.
There's also the fact that, no matter how you look at it, Hilda and Ravio know Lorule far better than Zelda and Link could ever know. Whatever Zelda and Link could think of to fix Lorule, those may not be what Hilda and Ravio might appreciate (a somewhat irreverent-but-concise example is to buy a chocolate cake for someone, but they actually prefer strawberry), thus giving them the means to fix things their way instead is a wiser choice.
It's a credit to the animators how the subtle change in Hilda's face really drives home how overcome with emotion she is when her Triforce comes back.
Still my favorite ending to any Zelda game. I actually teared up when Hilda realizes what is happening.
Would absolutely love another game in Lorule, but I know it probably won’t ever happen...
True. The most we'll likely ever see is a Hyrule Warriors 2 that incorporates Lorule & brings in Hilda & Ravio as playable characters...
@@ChaoticHoly Ravio is In the original and Age of Calamity was revealed before you even commented this
I actually teared up too when Link and Zelda bring the triforce back to Lorule.
@@abra_escaped I wouldn't exactly call AoC Hyrule Warriors 2, as it doesn't have anything to do with the original game other than being a Musou Zelda title.
@@ChaoticHoly yeah, not much of a sequel, but at least we get more hyrule warriors
Can we agree this link is one of the best links to exist? He didn't save 1 kingdom but 2, he literally saved 2 kingdoms.
Yep, he did the Ravio's Work.
But without hesitate, Absolute Link Chad
Along with OoT that save Hyrule and Termina, or Oracles that sace Labryna and Holodrum.
The ending for this game was so good! I was so happy when Link restored Lorule's Triforce.
👍🏻
Princess Hilda crying made me tear up. You could tell she was emotionally exhausted.
"Hey, Triforce. Can you make a copy of yourself, turn it upside down, and send it to Lorule?"
_"Lorule...the place where they blew up their Triforce? You want to bring my cousin Frank back to life?!"_

FOR FRAAAAAAAAANK!!!
69th Like, not sorry.
It might be just me but, after many, many years of playing Zelda games, there's something really special about seeing the complete triforce, being able to get close to it and a "Touch" option appearing.
I agree
Princess Hilda, having sent Princess Zelda and Link back to Hyrule, turned to leave the Sacred Realm as the last bit of light diminished from the crack in the slate, and the entire world darkened, back to how it was before Hyrule's Triforce came through the portal. Her business in the Sacred Realm was finished, and there was nothing left to be done - there was nothing left that _could_ be done.
Suddenly, the ground started to heave. The princess stumbled around, struggling to keep her balance, as fear and despair washed over her. Thoughts whizzed past her at a million miles per hour. 'This is the end of Lorule.' 'The world is finally crumbling away.' 'All hope is lost.' She started to cry, grieving for her people and for her land as she waited for the end.
Suddenly, the crack in the slate began to glow again, and the tremors grew more rapid, and fearful confusion joined all of the other emotions Hilda was experiencing… and then, before she could even begin to process what was happening, the slate exploded!
She shielded herself with her arms as debris flew in every direction, and at once, the tremors ceased. Now, the princess was utterly lost, and had no idea what was happening, and fearful of what might happen, and in total shock. Slowly and cautiously, she looked up from behind her trembling arms, and waited…
Something started materializing from nothing, right in front of her very eyes. In a few seconds, she realized it was the Triforce. She wondered if she was dreaming, if this was just her mind playing tricks on her, and was still in shock… 'is this real? Is this really the Triforce I am seeing?'
She heard Ravio gasp next to her, and she looked at him, and he was looking at the Triforce, too. She looked back at the Triforce, and realized the Triforce - Lorule's Triforce - really was floating in front of her.
All at once, all of her despair, confusion, shock, fear, anger, regret… all of it turned to feelings of joy, gratitude, relief, and the realization that she was saved, and Lorule was saved, and she saw light in the world, her world, for the first time, and she broke down, crying harder than she had ever cried in her life, crying tears of joy.
"Thank you, Princess Zelda… Oh, thank you…" Hilda exclaimed. "And to you as well, Hero of Hyrule… Thank you, Link!"
18:50 Yep, still got tears in my eyes. One of my favorite Zelda moments period.
SketchBookShortFilms bye Hilda
I did cry too, it was such a beautiful and moving moment
Saaame.
It gave me goosebumps and tears
Me too, it's a beautiful ending
The part where Link and Zelda restore the Lorulean Triforce always gives me the chills.
The way Hilda weeps from sheer joy and relief at the sight of her triforce coming back always brings tears to my eyes
16:27 always makes me sad. The feeling of "yeah they did the right thing but they're still screwed."
Yea Zack Ryder, but it was just a brief moment. Link and Zelda restored their land.
I mean... The ending was pretty predictable.
@@Dracogame Doesn´t matter if it´s predictable, the importance is that good felling that comes for you when you finish the game, that´s my opinion
@@agoldencat948 well, I liked this game a lot, and I liked its ending. Still, I wasn't sad for Lorule, the solution to their problem was literally hanging in front of them the whole time.
@@Dracogame Sure, but you know... sometimes something oblivious is even considered
Even though many people won’t consider this the best game in the franchise, in my opinion this as one of best endings, just the way it makes you sad and happy at the same time even with the graphics of the 3DS is amazing
Zelda: yet, after all that we've seen, do we not share the same wish?
Link: ....
* Zelda CD-i games never existed *
When I started a new file on this game more recently, I apparently forgot just how _good_ the game looks, to the point I was taken aback by it. Not "by 3ds standards" but just in general. Like _damn._ And this ending is easily one of the best.
And i always loved how when Zelda and Link touch the triforce, they touch with not only their corresponding triforce piece, but with the hands in which their triforce piece appears on: Zelda's triforce of Wisdom on her right hand, Link's triforce of courage on his left hand.
I never noticed that until now
Oh god this game so underrated
It literally won Game of the Year in 2013...
@@runnerhigh In 2013. It's underrated now, which is sad

The ending, the surprise for Hilda, is just so simple yet so touching, so heartening. Very well fucking done, Nintenbro.
Poor Hilda, I wanted to cry when the triforce of her world was restored, I'm playing the game but have not checked or near the end have to get the pictures yet grrr
Chimnlie I know, she terrible wanted a Triforce that Lorule been saved
O.o Seriously, the difference in the ending is that in the normal, some cute animals surround the master sword, and in hero mode the sages accompany Link? Not really worth the trouble of going through hero mode lol
Except when you're a completionist like me and you forever had the fact that you didn't beat hero mode 100 percent on your conscious so you have too xD
that explains the vacant house in lorule....
Yea the one right where you’re house is in Hyrule right? Explains why when Ravio got to Hyrule and found Link you’re house is first place he went.
I just LOVE this ending. And I also love Ravio and Hilda. Not only they are in completely different colour scheme but also their characteristics.
I hope this will be one of the games to get ported to switch.
Almost all the Zelda games are good, but this is the first one that made me CRY. I cry EVERY TIME I see this ending.
Really liked this video, you actually made the fight look like true fight/ challenge. Idk was just more entertaining than watching someone do the fight without getting hit.
This ending always makes me cry!
7:13 I love this moment so much the rendition of Zelda’s lullaby is so beautiful and makes it so epic they really didn’t need to go that hard for getting the light arrows but I’m glad they did
Still one of my favorite endings to any Zelda game also
Shows how powerful the Triforce is that it can make another Triforce could they just wish for another one in Hyrule and there’s just two Triforces now lol
I think it could repair a trifoce, not outright make another one. But it is still impressive none the less
@@KodaThePsyduck yeah I suppose this could just be a special circumstance since it was repairing Lorules already destroyed triforce
just noticed that Ravio and Hilda were painted into the mural at the end.
I saw ravio but where is Hilda?
SolBadguy314 Just Ravio, not Hilda
@@miserabletlc2055 Yes. Hilda is to the far right and Ravio to the left.
the mid fight cutscene to give you the bow of light is insane. You get this wonderful Zelda's lullaby theme with the driving beat of the main boss theme, which then morphs to a heroic version when you zoom out to Link. It is one of my favorite music moments in the entire game.
That's how you know how well thought out moments like these are and how every moment just compliments each other. Music having that much of an impact is such a phenomenal treat!
Oh yeah! Link brought that Yuga clown to his knees multiple times! At 10:12, Yuga was like "No!!! How can I lose to a worm like you?!? NOOOOOO!!!" In my view, it's like the mighty has fallen. And Yuga should have done his history homework from A Link to the Past to know more about the Master Sword and Link's Spirit of the Hero, but he didn't, which made Yuga a real idiot. This is what Yuga gets for being arrogant and calling Link a worm! Go Link!!!
The music in this game is top level. It is on par with the 3D Zelda games, it's beyond great.
So if you can use a Triforce to make a Triforce...
INFINITE TRIFORCES!
There's a fanfiction based sort of on that very notion. A false Triforce, with enough power to hoodwink anyone.
I don't think it created a New Triforce from scratch, but restored one that was already destroyed
We all had the same thought when we saw that Triforce. We did share the same wish., Brilliant ending.
I like that, even though their Triforce was destroyed, and they may not have shown their traits at first, in the end, Yuga still had the Power to conquer Lorule and Hyrule, Hilda still had the Wisdom to know that, in the end, it would not be the right choice to destroy Hyrule, and Ravio still had the Courage to return to Lorule and set right the things he knew were wrong
I like that too.
This is definitely among my favorites for Zelda endings, and might just be my favorite. It's not connected to a 3D Zelda game, which hurts its popularity, but I love it. It also ruined a fanfiction of mine, where Hyrule chose to give up on the blessings of God's, and embrace their own future, on their own terms, without the constant threat of Ganon. Then we find out the world CAN'T survive, and well... Still, a fun game, and a wonderful ending. A great addition/remake to LttP; my favorite Zelda game.
Zelda: "Why don't you make the wish Link? We both know we want the same thing."
Link: "Right!" **holds out hand**
**bzzzzt** *"We interrupt this broadcast for an important announcement"*
Sakurai: "I am very pleased to announce that Shrek and his swamp will be added as DLC in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a new fighter and stage respectively."
Zelda: -_-
First time seeing any real footage from the game, and it really does look like the most exciting Zelda since Majora's Mask!
why are you watching the ending first
Because I just don't give a fuck.
@@ElleRoniyou played it?
@@_not_aiden_ yes I did! it was very good and rewarding
Nicely done. Thanks for sharing the Hero mode ending for those who just want to see the small easter egg :)
No problem, this mode was super painful (obvious statement). I was kind of hoping for more in the end, not have hero mode beaten for something that could have easily fit into the normal ending....er yeah.
But anyway not a problem. Gonna 100% Hero Mode later on.
Finally. Finally a playthrough of a game, Zelda no less, where the RUclipsr actually gets damage done to themselves in the game and not just _oh look at me I’m not taking any damage hur hur._ Nonetheless, well done! I enjoyed watching this!
I love the little scene added at the end with link going with all others sages and zelda, that's nothing big but so cool.
I'm just curious how many people, like me, knew the game would end this way the second they heard Lorule destroyed their own Triforce.
my reaction when i first saw rovio was a lorian when i beat the game:HOLY SHIZ,THE RABBIT RABIES-CARRYING HOBO IS A MAN!!!!1
I was like "wtf will do this rabbit on the end, fan service? Idk" then saw it and i was like "oh wow"
If you played A Link to the Past, you would notice that Link turns into a pink bunny rabbit when he first enters the Dark World
endings can't get much better than this
6:04 : I love the Triforce icon to indicate that Yuganon has both Triforce of Power and Wisdom.
Hope Hilda will be in Super Smash Bros WiiU, I would love to see what that staff could do in her fight set.
And nope but that would be cool
God, I was 7 years old when you commented this XDDD
This ending still makes me cry
It's been 2 years and after a video from NBC I came back here, and my point still stands.
12:48
Ravio goes to talk sense into princess hilda. Those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Lorule's princess nearly made that same mistake in her desperation to save her land.
I will maintain that this is the best ending to a Zelda game ever until another game comes along to make it not so(good luck). It was such a lovely character moment for Hilda to realize she can't save her Kingdom by dooming another, and her using the last of the bracelets magic to send Link and Zelda home meaning even if someone wanted to they couldn't return to Hyrule to try and take their Triforce and Lorule's sacred realm even losing the last of it's glow as we fade out. And in just about any other Zelda game that would have been the end with Lorule's ultimate fate not being 100% certain, but we rejoin the game with Link and Zelda waking up in Hyrule's sacred realm where they find the Triforce is already there and fully assembled, then we even have Zelda drop the line "Yet, after all we've seen, do we not share the same wish?" and you think that they're making Lorule's fate less ambiguous. *BUT THEN* we actually cut back to Hilda and Ravio who flinch when the tremors start thinking this is finally the end, only for Hilda's face to betray all of the joy, gratitude, and relief she is nearly floored by as she watches Lorule's Triforce reform right in front of her. You guys know full well most other Zelda games would have left Lorule's fate completely ambiguous so the fact that they were so upfront about it is mind blowing.
13:01 the feels and this whole scene is so great and emotional.
This ending is so damn satisfying.
19:21 Me and my sister when we unwrapped our first Wii
I'm ugly crying, this game is so good.
Just beat this game for the first time today, and this is by far my favourite ending in any Zelda game.
I beat it first time just yesterday and completely concur. One of the best narratives in the series, and really earns that happy ending.
The moment the Lorule Triforce appears... I was mimicking Hilda. I cried tears of joy! and screamed "no f**king way!" That was a sublime ending, for a game that was very funny and enjoyable to play, but not so much on the "legendary" aspect. Well, that ending changed everything. Every wish to the Trifoce in the Zelda franchise has always been so major. I am secretly dying to have it happen at the end of BotW2 now, it needs to happen!
How did it go?
I wish Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild had compelling stories to tell like this game.
@@regulus7181 no they don't. Each time you finish a temple in Tears, it's a copy paste sealing wars explanation. Compare that to Majora's Mask's story telling.
24:00 the journey ends, and the master sword was returned to the pedestal
I want them to make a squeal spin off to this, and have Ravio as the main, and have him redeem himself to become the hero of Lorule
Awwww poor Hilda, when she cry adter the triforce is restored. It makes me cry.
Labryanna, Holodrum, Lorule, Ambrosia, Twilight Realm, Dark world, Silent Realm. It's a shame they only appear once depending on the game.
Kokolint Island, Termina and the World of the Ocean King as well.
She did feel emotional at the end but the boy is right chaos happened in their time and it would do the same to hyrule at least he is trying to make sense even though he did run off but he had the courage to fight his fears of betrayal and make his princesses understand the reason.
One thing I would've liked to have seen in Hero Mode was new attacks on the bosses. Maybe Yuga Ganon could've gotten his huge lightning attack from when you fight him in Hyrule Castle, only it covers the ENTIRE field and you can't dodge/block it unless you merge into a wall in time.
8:20 I'm like what!!! I should have done that
Me to
Me too
I honestly think that ravio actually would have the triforce of wisdom and Hilda the triforce of courage
I hope I'm not missing something like a missing LINK
I think they all have the opposite traits... Ravio is a coward, Hilda is foolish, and Yuga is weak (needs to use ganon's power instead of his own)
@@05r41 It's quite clever because it actually matches the state of Lorule with its triforce broken (no power, no wisdom, and no courage)
I kinda wished Yuga and Ganon would separate after beating him and Ganon would hide in the dark world for the final battle similar to Link to the Past.
Then it really would be copy-pasting all the way. I kind of like the fact that someone hi-jacked the main baddie being that Ganondorf's/Ganon's already done it to someone else at least twice (Four Swords Adventures, Twilight Princess)
And the dark world is the golden land but with darkness. So it will take time to Ganon to turn it to the dark world.
Desilent49 Ganon got Ganondorfed :p
+webb428 For all due purpose, Yuga is basically Ganon here. Just with a different name.
Legit best ending I've seen *YET*
19:50-20:05 i shed tears. as it took me back ALTTP back in 1992.
I just finished this tonight. was fun
Awesome Video, Boss, And Game!
I dunno about you, I wish the final boss was called Yuganon, Yuga - Ganon - Ga, Yu-Ga-Non, Yuganon, this stuff writes itself people. But nope, it’s just called Yuga Ganon
9:56 that sound and arrow hit as hard as a daym cutscene
6:20 : That organ jingle is so similar to the intro jingle of Zelda 1 Ganon battle.
A Link between worlds has the best ending of any Zelda game ever.
I hope lorule may come back in series after BOTW. Something like post-botw where lorule is now prosperous and well... hyrule is now in ruined in BOTW.
I played the link between world before on the Nintendo 3ds and find all the secret and bonus games and I used to find master sword Hyrule shield and find all the hearts and power glove and fighter the boss and Yuga.
ravio and link are opposites, Ravio speaks while Link is mute :)
Has anyone noticed that you can evade Yuga's attacks by running around the perimeter of this room (starting on the bottom right) ? It's gets quite easy to beat him then.
I suspected Ravio to be something of a legend or a sage of some sort. Best ending from a Zelda thus far for me.
I think a butcher knife would have been more effective against pig Ganon.
One of my favorite endings
I’m I think 11 years late but I finally beat this game after replaying and beating ALTTP and man was this game great I liked a lot of the characters a lot Zelda Hilda Ravio and Irene
Oops hit finish this game def deserves the praise I’ve seen it get such a good game
The sound Ganon-Yuga makes when he appears reminds me of Kirby when he "pops" and he blows out air and stops floating
23:30 Ravio, Link's friend is that you? And Princess Hilda, are you here?
i'm sorry but Link standing in the wall while the little fire birds are attacking looks so funny to me
6:15 "You don't have all the pieces yet, bitch! BRING IT!"
Hey... random thought for a somewhat had ending... the triforce cant restore Lorules Triforce... if Lorule no longer exists. In other words Lorule was on its last leg the land was crumbling away and Hilda and her hero sent Link and Zelda back before the final collapse. Lorule then goes all Krypton explosion and the Triforce is no unable to grant the wish to revive Lorules Triforce because there is no more Lorule. Link and Zelda are in turn faced with the harsh reality that sometimes you cant save everyone. Lorule is gone and only Link, Zelda, and the sages are aware of the tragedy that was the loss of an entire Kingdom.
17:31 did you just thrust at zelda?

I do have to wonder what virtues Lorule’s Triforce represented? If I had to guess, I’d say Cowardice, Weakness and Ignorance?
Enough to make a grown man cry
23:29 Woah looks like someone turned the content aware scale on a little too high for Ravio
That's it, all of Hero Mode for three added seconds to the ending. I may be a completionist, but I'll pass Hero Mode.
