Valorant got some cpu optimizations in a recent patch that claim to increase performance on mid-high end cpus by upto 15% so i think that will help out a lot off ppl with mid range gaming rigs or rigs with no dedicated gpus at all.....ur vids are really great btw!

It's rather impressive what it can do, but still driver side Intel has a lot of works to do. Xe is way stronger than Vega 8 but at times it lags behind it or barely beat it.
@@oscarmetal Yeah, driver was never Intel's forte but I hoped with all the Xe marketing crap they would at least get their shit together this time but after a year there are still major compatibility issues. I hope by the time desktop gaming dedicated are released they are at a working state or get the backlash they deserve for neglecting gpu drivers for over a decade. They have the products, they have the right time to enter the market and there's a demand for their potential product, if they screw up it's 100% their fault with no excuses.
It doesn't make sense to put anything more than necessary for 4k 60fps video decode in any CPU that will (or should) be paired with a Actual GPU. Adding a more powerful iGPU isn't free and adds cost to the chip, more cost = less competitive. The second you add an Actual GPU to the system, the iGPU is absolutely useless, except for some really dumb DRM stuff.
I love that you include Rust into the benchmark! you should do it more often !:) rust is one of the top played games in steam since nearly a decade ( 2013)

My 10 year old just bought this tech in an HP 17.3 inch laptop. Same 11th gen i-5 processor and this Iris Xe. Runs Roblox and Minecraft butter smooth looking good. Great solution for this kind of gaming.
This is all alot of people need, even an esport gamer or kids can get somewhat high fps experience. I remember on my AMD HD4250 trying to play most games was near impossible even on lowest. This will help get those Bad Gt1030 style GPUs off the market sooner

From this video I understood the great advantage of multi channel memory over the usual 2 slot memory. Especially if you have iGPU, multiple channels of memory definitely gives a boost and minimise stuttering (cuz the faster the VRAM, the less stuttering).
It shows quad channel because it uses LPDDR4 memory which has up to 32bit channels as opposed to the 64bit of DDR4 (and older) so in the end both add up to the same 128 bit wide bus. As for the number of slots, LPDDR4 is soldered so the software is interpreting each individual ram package as 1 slot. What you say is correct but this miniPC isn't doing some custom solution or anything.
it's so funny this appears in my recommended; i decided to check out the xe graphics platform this morning, compared it to my laptop's GPU with benchmark results (GTX 960M), and instantly my heart dropped. IT'S BETTER THAN MY LAPTOP 😭😭😭
Kryzzp, if u install optifine in minecraft expect 200+ fps with no stutters with this setup because I got the same specs and that's how much it runs at, super smooth

8 of 8 channels refers to height 2GB LPDDR4 chips for a total bus width of 256 bit (iGPU is actually using 128 bit because of the two 64 bit controllers in the CPU SoC)
Ryzen 3 2200G's Vega 8 was bottlenecking by it's CPU not GPU...If I'm not Wrong Vega 8 is more powerful than Iris XE..😅 Anyway Awesome Video as always 🤗

Agreed 100%. My biggest fear with the new intel gpus is in their software side and not its hardware. Intel drivers used to be garbage.

Iris Xe is a lil beast. I'm very surprised. I went from an UHD 620 to Iris Xe and it feels like I'm almost like on a GTX 1050 (Mobile).
Nah gtx 1050 is three times better
