- iPad Pro is just a big iPad or at least that is what I thought until I added the Smart Keyboard. I finally got my hands on one to use and review, and was surprised by what I found.

I just got mine today. It does feel weird but not an issue for me. I have to see a tutorial on how to use the commands. I can type fast on this. The keys are very responsive. I like it a lot.
I’ve never used anything Apple and I’m turning 65 soon. Just this month I got my first iPhone, iPad and Magic Mouse 2. I’m really enjoying all of them. I have always used Android products. Thank you for your informative tutorial.

I received my keyboard yesterday and I do love it! As you said, it's almost as easy as my laptop.
Just bought my iPad Pro with the keyboard about a week ago. My main concern is the keyboard cover wearing out from the constant folding.
The pencils really great when the iPad is laying down but in an upright keyboard mode it'd be nice to have a mouse or track pad. Apple already has the magic mouse and track pad not sure why they didn't implement compatibility in ios 11.
So no protection to the reverse side of the iPad when coming into contact with a hard surface?

I agree with you, but I think is a matter of what you do to make it a laptop replacement yet the keyboard is a nice addition (an expensive one though) Great video by the by.

I love the keyboard for my everyday use. I use it more because my MacBook battery 🔋 dies so fast when I’m on the move so I use my iPad 12.9 all the time do all my small editing and and returning of emails. There are some downsides to the keyboard but they are small and there is always a learning curve with anything new. But for me and my RUclips channel this setup works.

Typing this from the Smart Keyboard. Worked well for the first 9 months, I love the texture of the keys. But its becoming increasingly unresponsive and this is quite a common issue! This has been a hassle recently and its a miracle that mine is connecting right now. It’s something to do with the magnets and apparently its a hardware issue.
travis skrrt I had the same issue. Fortunately, I was insured and had to get my keyboard replaced. Additionally, this was a common problem and they actually extended the warranty for 3 years.

I have really been enjoying the Smart Keyboard so far. I have big fingers, but the keyboard seems to still work for me. I also enjoy the fact that all the Mac commands work with the keyboard. By far the best tablet keyboard I have used.

I got the new 10.5 inch GB 512 LTE iPad Pro with the Apple keyboard which looks exactly like yours and with iOS 11 which is perfect for the iPad (seems like iOS 11 is really made for the iPad not for the iPhone so much ) and I love that keyboard but what I don’t like about it is that it don’t protects the backside of the iPad especially with the protruding camera and that it don’t come with a pencil holder like other cases I’ve seen lately.
So yes I love it but with some reservations.

My wife's apple magic keyboard starting loosing the lettering from using the keyboard. We took it into our Apple store and it was still under warranty and they replaced the keyboard. This is definitely a major draw back to this keyboard
Just purchased my new iPad and keyboard. Planning on returning it and getting a new Logitech. The shift keys aren´t working above the numbers. There is no manual and tech support was unable to help me. The idea of going back to the Apple store is painful, but it is too expensive to just let it go.

How is the longevity of the keyboard?
I bought the Smart Keyboard because my Logitech keyboard and cover basically ground a ridge into my iPad Pro screen. I went online and its more common than talked about. So beware, the Logitech keyboard is not for your very expensive iPad Pro. The only gripe i have about the Smart Keyboard is it lacks backlights but hey, thats better than a ridge across my screen.

I find it annoying that when I type an email and type in something like “ we went to the park and I walked the dog. It types the I in lower case. I took it to the service center and the put in some shortcuts which only work sometimes. Also won’t and don’t are also not with ‘ in the words.

It’s very beautiful, feels super premium, but the keys don’t work nice enough for a long typing experience. The microfiber flip side gets dirty super easily.

Do you have a video about all of the keys on that keyboard. I'm a Windows user, not Apple so what's the globe in the bottom right? I press and hold Option or Control key and nothing happens. I've tried them in combination with other keys but nothing. And I can't find an online manual that tells idiots like me what the keys do.

I have problems with keyboards caps lock and with some letters, such as no "h" unless I hold the Caps Lock then only in a Cap. and cannot space unless I hold down the shift key. So what is going on?
sounds like its broken.. take it to apple. If you have warranty you probably get a new one.

It made me reboot the iPad before it started working. Simply connection to three pins will not work for some people. I consider this cover as an expensive joke from apple, cover means cover, as I have cover for my Dell tablet which covers it whole. Here back of the iPad is not covered which makes the expensive device vulnerable. It could have been designed better, which I am sure apple will do sometime in future to make more money. These companies keep these flaws deliberately

I have the Smart Keyboard. The onscreen keeps coming up and won't let me use the Smart Keyboard. I have turned the iPad off and then restart. The Smart iPad works for a moment and then the onscreen board comes up and the Smart Keyboard no longer responds. What steps to take to get rid of onscreen board and reactivate Smart Keypad? As an owner, I love Apple products, but I think iOS is not ready yet to be called Pro, they have to get it closer to a desktop or laptop experience to call an iOS product like that.

I had to replace mine with a Zagg Messenger. I can’t use arrows to go up and down. It’s been about 6 months since I had the keyboard, so I forget a lot of what it can do. For example, if I want to post something on fb, what do I press on keyboard to post?
