I’m so glad i found this guy videos now my iPad can really feel like a laptop to me
Crazy to watch this in 2024. The iPad has come a long way
This is an awesome tutorial! You show slowly and clearly, thanks man!
This video was a decision maker for me. Thx a lot 🤘🏻
Hey! I tried most of these, (the ones with the keys I have on my keyboard) And the ones that I was able to try were good. They worked, and I wouldn’t be able to do this without thorough explaining. Which is what I got. I love your videos, and I’m hoping to see more videos like this in the future! (P.S, you have a new subscriber.)
Thank you for subscribing and for the nice compliments.
Thank you thank thank you !!
This popped up when I searched up how to select on keyboard on ipad
Well, a good start but, me come from Windows...
Arrow and shift are pretty much the standard and you have ctrl+a/x/c/v/n/y/b/o/s/etc.
ctrl+left: to previous word.
ctrl+right: to next word.
ctrl+up/dn: move the scroll up or down a line without moving the caret.
home: to the beginning of the line.
end: to the end of the line.
ctrl+home: to 1st line.
ctrl+end: to last line.
ctrl+bkSpace: delete previous word.
ctrl+del: delete next word.
pgUp/pgDn: self-explanatory.
The most important of all, is the menu key cause not function has a shortcut.
Some people think menu key mimics right mouse click but it's quite the opposite.
Then you can use keys or arrows to navigate the menu, and hit enter to select.
-- some advance editor only ones --
shift+alt+arrow: RECT select and then you can perform RECT paste, cut, copy, typing.
ctrl+shift+up/down : move a line (or multiple selected line) up or down.
ctrl(+shift)+u: make selection upper or lower cap.
-- some UI control --
alt+f: File, alt+e: Edit and so on and so forth.
When a popup shows up, you can also use alt+tab/[a-z] to hit a button, focus on a radio button group, jump to a text field, switch tabs, etc.
There are more but I'll stop.
Hope all those can be implemented in iOS.

Awesome, thanks!
Great videos
Thank you!!!!!!!
You rock!
How do you select emoji using the keyboard
Eric, you have uploaded 2 times the same video, number 3. But there is no video 4... Look forward to learning new shortcuts!!!! Thanks for the tutorials! I’ve just purchased the iPad Pro 10.5 and it suits better with the keyboard than with the 9.7...
Episodes 2 and 3 are different. One is general keyboard shortcuts and the other is specifically keyboard shortcuts for editing text. Not sure why #4 is not showing up in my playlist but if you click on the VIDEOS tab you will see it there. Thanks for letting me know. I'll try to fix that.
I look forward to watching the video #4 then. I’ve noticed the videos #3 are slightly different. That’s perhaps the reason they should be #3 and #4... It’d explain the glitch in the iteration... Thanks again Eric! Bruno
Thanks for the tips but all you need to do is get a Bluetooth mouse and connect it as you would for any other Bluetooth devices.
What kind a keyboard are you using in this video ? Thanks ! And are u using the same these days?
It's an Apple magic keyboard. I still use it. That's my favorite.
I am using my magic keyboard now and thanks for the guide also Rory but
Your voice is too low.
Dude you rock is there any trick for summoning Siri ???
Thanks for following and the nice comments Christopher. Yes, to make it super easy to summon Siri, open the Settings app, tap "Siri & Search" and turn on Listen for "Hey Siri", Press Home for Siri, and Allow Siri When Locked. Now you'll be able to simply say "Hey Siri" without touching your iPad. You can also press and hold the home button to summon Siri. Try it!
Okay but how do you link the key board with the iPad
Use a Bluetooth keyboard
Is there anyway to access emojis on a bluetooth keyboard?
Robin not to my knowledge
I was using a USB Windows keyboard using the Apple lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter and i had the Japanese keyboard and English keyboard. I was typing fine but then randomly the keyboard changed to the Japanese keyboard. I must of pressed a combination of keys to change the keyboard I just don’t know which ones I pressed. I tried a combination of the Windows, tab, shift, alt keys but I couldn’t reproduce it. So if I changed it to the Japanese keyboard it must be the same way to change it to the emoji keyboard.
Control + space ☺️ just can’t select the emoji with your keyboard ( have to use your finger still)
👍👍
You can get a cabeld mouse with a lithning to usb3 adapter
