I have a graphics tablet with 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity… but I NEVER use it. The pressure sensitivity for me is actually annoying sometimes. And also the Amazon one does have it’s one pressure sensitivity. Just tilt the pen and once more of the pen is on the iPad the line gets thicker.
The Amazon one has tilt sensitivity, which is different from pressure but yeah it's very similar. I wrote about it in the description because due to certain reasons I couldn't include that in the vid. I also feel the pressure feature is a bit annoying sometimes because I don't really need it, but some people absolutely desire it. It just depends 🤷🏻♀️
I have always supported the original pen in the past, but after recently purchasing YEBOS as a backup pen, I found that it is basically the same as the Apple Pencil!
My first pen was an apple pen 2 gen, but I mainly take notes in my study daily . I bought a Yebos pen in October. It keeps sensitivity and without lag. The long battery life of 18 hours allows me to only need to charge once for tow week!
I use a lightning cable that came with my iPad Pro, it fits in the stylus exactly the same. Or you can just use the charger that the stylus came with, it's just way smaller. Plug it into any power brick (in the video I even used a Samsung power brick).
Awesome review! New subscriber! Just one question though. I’m not sure but I think the other end of the apple pencil works as an eraser. If that’s true, does the amazon pencil work the same way?
@@SincerelyBryn Hi thank you so much! And no, the other end of the Amazon pencil is strictly for turning on and off. The official Apple pencil's other end doesn't work as an eraser either. You have to double tap the side (as shown in vid) to activate the eraser. The Amazon one doesn't have this double tap feature. To access the eraser, you must manually select it from your screen
It's super annoying how some of these amazon pencils claim to have pressure sensitivity. I've seen more than one claiming this and I bought it just to find out it doesn't.
Make sure you're using a plug with a good voltage, and you're using the cable it came with or an iPad charging cable. I've used both kinds, and it takes like 45 minutes to go from zero to 100% charge. When it's full and still plugged into the charger, the light will turn green. Blue is for when it's being used. If the problem is still happening, then I'm sorry I don't know what else to do... maybe it's a defect and you should exchange the pencil for another fresh one. I never had a problem with it.
So, I understand this is 2 years old. I just got a $28 stylus from Amazon for my phone and it claims to be high sensitive. There’s a slight delay, and when you go slow enough with it there is a jitter. Not sure if the jitter is something that is there for all active stylus pens for touch screen devices.
You got this stylus or a different one? This one is not meant for phones so I’m not sure what you mean. Either way, my one doesn’t have any jitter. It still has the same smoothness as it had back then (you can see the update video to be sure). If your one is jittery, it either has low charge or low quality

@@FusiYT hello! Yes, it works great, I can’t complain. If you need just these basic options - you will be satisfied 100% 😋
@@weronikanowak5600 Alright thanks!
@@weronikanowak5600 I've the same Amazon basic product but I've been facing an issue. The pen shows that it's fully charged but after disconnecting it blinks with blue light and it stops working. I tried changing the nibs but it isn't helping much. I hope u can help with this :>
@@LAWLIET_L_W sometimes I have this green light when its charging but I know it isnt fully charged and I need to wait. Did you try keep it charging during the night?
Nice nails 💅 and great vid. I’m getting the knock off for my 2017 air pad. 👍
Haha thanks
Enjoy your new pencil!
Thank you for your in-depth review! like its helps me sooo much SLAYYYYY
My pleasureeeeee ;)
if the cheaper one doesn't have double tap then how do you erase sometning?
You'd have to manually select the eraser from the toolbar of whatever app you're using
I notice that the Amazon one made more noise when you were writing, I’d rather not have people hear the tapping
Thank you very much for this informative video. I’ve found it helpful. :)
My pleasure! :)
hello does the cheap one work on android ? thank you!
Hello, sorry this one only works for iPad!
Thanks a lot ! I’m going with the Amazon one 😂. Great video!
So i just ordered the 9th generation IPad on amazon that was on sale and so what would be better stylus pencil or apple pencil
Well that’s what this video is all about. It depends on your needs and what kind of things you’re gonna use your iPad for. For basic needs, get the regular Amazon pencil. For more advanced needs, get the Apple Pencil. The video explains this in more details. I personally say the Amazon pencil is a better value, but that’s me.
@@melodious_moon does the stylus pencil work on 9th generation Ipad
@@Chiefsfan12 Yes it does. There’s a link in the description for it so you can check out more details there too
Hi what's the make of the actual Amazon pen called please?
This one is called the JamJake Stylus. The link is in the description.
@@melodious_moon thank you
Dpes this work on samsung tab a7?
Sorry but no, this one is only for iPad and iPad Pro.
Can u give a quick review on amazon pencil till date today (if u used it)
I still use it today and it's still exactly the same. It doesn't lag, great battery life, all a very smooth experience. I haven't even changed the pen tips since I got it because it hasn't gone bad, and I use this pen almost everyday.
So i should purchase it instead of apple
@@_aims4_113 depends on what features you want. Amazon one doesn't have pressure sensitivity. There's a summary you can watch at 6:19
@@melodious_moon i watched ur whole video...(that was good)
Just wanted a review after a year..
I guess that (Amazon pen.) will be fine for only notes.
@@_aims4_113 thanks.
Yes if you're only going for simple notes, I highly suggest the Amazon one. Still has the same quality after a year for me.
does the dupe pencil work with android tablets?
Nope, only for iPad
@@melodious_moon oh okay
haha I really enjoyed your video, it is very easy to watch, I have an Amazon pencil for a couple of months, and it just ran out of battery in the middle of me taking notes, I was going to order the Apple one thought maybe the batter will last longer, so I RUclipsd for researching, I will stick with the amazon one :)
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed :)
Great video still going to go for the generic pen
Thank you for the review!
Does the cheaper one fit in a Apple Pencil silicone case? :)
I don't have the exact dimensions but you can see at 0:38 both pencils are the same size, so it should fit.
At 4:10 you could see that the charging port is at a position which is a tiny bit lower than the Apple logo.
So I suggest you buy a case that has an opening big enough for the charging port ;)
I have bought and can say have zagg pro pen and what is good I can use bought side in the pen with apple pen its problem its one side use and you cant on or of the pen. So its only sign apple what you pay for.
Hmm but I'm broke so I'm taking the Stylus... BUT I WANT THE APPLE PENCIL WAA one question tho..when we go to settings and apple pencil, can we activate the Stylus as an Apple pencil??? As you didn't tell it can't do the others featuress❤❤❤❤❤❤luv you and stay safe!!
Sorry for the late reply! When you go settings and set up the Amazon pencil, it will not show up with the name Apple Pencil and you will not see the screen shown 5:53. Stay safe ;)
Does it fit in the storage place in the iPad cover
Yes it fits perfectly
Can you try it on laptop pls
This pencil is only made for iPad
I had an Apple Pencil 1st gen I lost it and never used its features at all and now I feel depressed
How do u tell the battery percentage on the variant product?
When the battery is close to dying, the pen will become slow and the blue LED light will start blinking. When you charge it, the light will be red and when it's 100%, it'll turn green. These are the only ways to tell the battery.
Im on Amazon and cant find "Amazon Pencil". Is there another name for it?
This specific one is called the JamJake stylus and I put a link for it in the description of the video
@@melodious_mooni mustve overlooked the link. Thamk you
@@kponds7528 no problem!
Btw if u get ur ipad screen broken and you fix it the pen might get a big laggy!!
I am considering buying a case for the stylus pen, are the dimensions of the stylus the same as the apple pencil and is the charging port at the same place as the apple logo?
I don't have the exact dimensions but you can see at 0:38 both pencils are the same size.
At 4:10 you could see that the charging port is at a position which is a tiny bit lower than the Apple logo.

@@onjhn8u0yhu8 Hi! Thank you very much for your kind words ☺️ actually the pencil in this video is only for iPad. But you can look on Amazon for other Android pencils, there are so many on the market.
Thank You SO Much For Making This Video! Now I Know What To Get. I Don't Need To Spend $130 On A Stylus Pen Now. I Can Just Get The Amazon Pencil And Use It With The Ipad 9 I'll Get Soon! Thanks Again By The Way. I Liked The Video, You Should Make More Videos! :D
Ah thank you very much! I'm happy to hear it helped you 😁 I'm also planning to make more videos like this very soon :)
So I looked at the review for the Amazon pencil that you used and they are good all I wanna know is do you think that they are good for Androids like revvel v's because I have a revvel v and I'll been look like all night for a pencil and this review looks perfect and I'd like it if you would tell me Thanks for your help😊😊😊 Also when you get the Amazon pencil is it already charged or do I need to charge it sorry if I'm asking to much questions I am trying to get the perfect one for me
It's okay, you're not asking too much!
This pencil is actually only for iOS, specifically more for the latest iPads. It isn't compatible with the REVVL V or any Android. It's not gonna work, sorry. For your second question, the pencil was already charged when I got it.
@@melodious_moon Thank you I just found out and I found another video and I got another one thanks for telling me I appreciate the help
Does the fake Apple Pencil fit in the hole storage in ur case?
Yup, it fits perfectly.

@@melodious_moon btw there’s a new version of this that has the sensitivity thing and more stuff

“This is why its $130” lol
How long will the tip last ??
Where can I buy tip replacement for Amazon one????
I’m using it for more than one year so far, and I never had to change the tip. I use it a lot and it’s still good as new. Also, this comes with a pack of free tips if you ever need them.

wow, so incredibly cheap and so very similar !!!
i didn't knew these exist...
Yes! There's so many more that you can search on Amazon too, but I personally found this one to be the best at the time. So cheap and does almost all the same things :)
I recognized that SHAPR 3d doesn’t work with a non-Apple pen.
I’m getting the one from Amazon, since my Apple Pencil stopped working :(

Thank great review!
I got mine today but it don’t work
Make sure your iPad model is supported (check Amazon description), charge your pencil, and connect to Bluetooth first
If still doesn't work, return and buy another one. Maybe that one is defective.
@@melodious_moon they said you don’t need to connect to Bluetooth but I did cause you mentioned it and it doesn’t write I charged it and according to the description I have the right one not sure what’s going on does it matter if I have a screen protector on my tablet?

I just have a normal one. Sorry I don't know what else to say, mine works perfectly even after more than a year. Other people have said the same.
Maybe your one is defective or something. You could always return it and buy another one. If it still doesn't work then maybe your iPad has something up 🤔

There's a huge price gap I honestly think that you should get the Amazon version

Amazing review thank you so much
I personally think both are better in there own ways
But if I had to chose one it would be samsung I've used samsung for many years which is why I prefer samsung
I also don't like the magnet thing it's very easy to lose your s pen
Btw loved the video 😆
Yes exactly, both are good for their own reasons. It's really up to the person for whichever reason they need.
I would choose Samsung as well, for the same reason as you. To me, it's just better (as I've seen over the years)
I'm also scared of the pen falling off the magnet so I keep it in the storage case thing.
Thanks 😅
For a moment i thought i had a bird in my room.
Haha that's mine! I have three of them :)
Fab honest review 👍
I don’t care about the pressure , I care about the Price and Apple be killing people with high ass prices for products and the Stylus Pens are same thing people just buy the apple pen just to say they have one, but do you really need to pay $100 for a Stylus pen no , just go with the cheap one and save money & if you loose it or someone steal it you won’t feel bad about loosing a hundred dollar Stylus pen , & you can just buy a new Stylus off Amazon lol .
Yup, that's exactly true!
Thanks!
I have the dupe and I love it so much.
