I find that using my thumb and first two fingers for the copy/paste gesture (like you're picking something up and putting it down) works a lot easier than using my middle 3 fingers. Lots of stuff in this video I didn't know, thanks!!

Tip one is an equal or more amount of clicks depending on where the app you need to import the photos is located on the home screen.

I just received the M4 iPad Pro and I love it. Had the 12.9” M1 and loved that one too. Traded it in for the new one. The screen is amazing and I love that is so thin and light. Waiting for my Zugu case.

Hi Brandon ! There’s one thing I found out not long ago. If you want to get the Degree symbol ° ( I thought it was missing on the keyboard 😅 ) just tap and hold the 0 (Zero) and it will show up. This was driving me crazy since my first iPhone !
WOW, the keyboard trick on 6:54 is such an amazing feature, I've been using an iPad for a long time and couldn't even think about how it actually worked.

Good stuff 👍👍 that I can learn something new, such as at the 10:30 The finger-swipe corner gestures are not available when Stage Manager is enabled - however, the Pencil corner gestures remain accessible while Stage Manager is active. 😅😅

Love these tricks videos. Can’t understand why so many of Apple’s best features remain hidden. Glad you are around to uncover them. 😊
Why would Apple add a feature and then hide it? Who benefits from that? They’re not hidden, they are in Apple’s user guides but you haven’t read them. Most people don’t read user guides so the less obvious features become “hidden secrets”.

Great video Brandon. I really wish they would enable swipe type on the iPad keyboard. I have the M1 Air 5th Gen 11".
You can do that by making it a floating keyboard
Another keyboard trick is to take both thumbs and extend them on both sides to slice up the keyboard into two parts for easier typing when holding it
Unfortunately that used to be a feature but I think iPadOS has since removed this functionality in favor of pinching the keyboard down to an iphone sized floating keyboard

Good morning, thank you for your awesome videos! The tip where your spacing handwriting, I am not getting that to work! Every time I press my Apple Pencil it just activates handwriting and make some mark. I’m doing this in my Notes app, on a screenshot that I have saved in notes. What am I doing wrong because I love that feature!
I hope if we can resize the Keyboard to any size
M2 IPP for me. Can you use the pencil to do a thought cloud in messages?

Hey Brandon, I love your vids but one thing I noticed is that I basically have to turn my volume down 50% whenever I watch them because the audio is so loud compared to most other content I watch on here. Not sure if others have noticed the same thing.

6:18 You can pinch apart on the keyboard and it will split it to each side so you can type with your thumbs too

Hey Brandon, Love your videos and find them most useful! I noticed your X app on your dock!! Help...whenever I'm using Safari I have to literally click the images to load. Now this doesn't happen when I switch to Chrome browser. I allowed pop ups etc. on my Mac. 23 . What can I do? I prefer to use Safari, but I love Twitter! Ty
Some good tips! Wish the 11” could have a swipe to separate the keyboard or even finger drag to type. I don’t use an external keyboard. Nor do I want one. The mini has it….

I don’t seem to be able to start notes from the off Lock Screen - totally black as shown in the vid. It only works when I click the power button then tap. Am I missing something? M1 iPad Pro, iPadOS 18 developer. Thanks!
the pen tap and spacing...is that only on the newest iPads? I have an 11 inch pro and pencil and it did to work.
I’m using the iPad 6. I’m try to decide what kind to get next. I’ve had 2 regular iPads and I want to try something new! At first I wanted the latest iPad Air, but now I’m liking the iPad Pros. Maybe a refurbished iPad Pro??
A refurnished M1 would be excellent. Don’t get anything extra really except hover on the M2 (and MAYBE a little more battery life). Get a 1 tb so you will have extra ram to future proof it for the Apple intelligence features to come.
If you live in the US or Canada, Best Buy is currently selling the Brand New iPad Air (M1) for $399. That is a fantastic deal for that device. You could also get a refurbished iPad Pro for higher price than this if you want ProMotion though.
I am planning to buy a IPAD M3 in the 13 in h size. It will be my computer as well.
You can also just swipe with 2 fingers to select stuff instead of pressing select

Finger gestures also available on iOS, and if you tap with 3 fingers, an edit bar will appear.
Hold on … you just swiped left on the bar at the bottom, to switch to your previous app. I didn’t know you could do that, either! (I’ve just been using for- finger swipe for that). Thanks for sharing a FIFTEENTH iPad truck with me!
How do you have number row on the keyboard ? I don’t on my iPad Pro 11 M4… is it only on the 13 inches ?

Only iPad Pro 12.9” models can enable number row for the keyboard by default. No other iPad lineup can. Annoying, isnt it?

@@joepvans5035 Honestly i like the current one better (which has numbers lined up with qwerty... so u can easily down swipe on that to get it... also the whole keyboard has those swipe down symbols in these ones making them a bit faster than in the video)

I've had major issues with Google Drive in the Files app in iPadOS 18. It's a beta and it's fine, but just warning anyone thinking of updating.

Why hasn’t Apple made a transparent keyboard? I think it would be neat for it to be completely transparent but still see the stuff behind it and still be able to text on the keyboard.

So on the first tip you’re using only ONE hand..but the second way is use 2 hands….that is double the work.
I do enjoy your videos, but how do you know some doesn't know the tricks you talk about existed?
tip 4, space it out: how do you use the Scribble features in Notes without your handwriting being converted to typeface as you're writing? Can't figure that out
Just use another pen tool. The iPad converts to typeface when you select the tool with letter 'A' on it.
Airdrop do not detect my iPad from my iPhone 😢
If you have some more iPad tips and tricks please share them. There are a lot of good iPhone RUclipsrs but precious few who give out focused information. And they always use the iPhone to show how to do things and the iPad is formatted differently so it doesn’t really help. Show us how to do iPad things on an iPad, thank you
