I use the original Apple Pencil 2 with my iPad mini 6 and it's worth every dollar. It is very comfortable, monolithic, and glides well across the screen. I draw a lot in illustration and 3D and this is the perfect tool for me.

I'm a casual user but my number one favorite use is digitally signing documents. Any other stylus makes my signature look like I'm 4 years old. Reminds me of the days using a mouse to sign.
The best option is to find secondhand Apple Pencil .. instead of buying the Apple Pencil USB-C get the second generation(if your iPad is compatible) secondhand. It will cost much much less and at the same time you get all the good features. ( you will Appreciate more.)
My iPad Pro case has a rubber molded grippy area for the pencil. It sticks well, even through the case. It also holds it such that the tip and back are cradled so they don’t get caught on anything.
I found this video researching a new stylus cause I lost my Apple Pencil, however I purchased the ESR one a month ago I was surprised to see this was the recommendation. It disconnects and you need to hold the button to reconnect after 5 mins. Literally.

I love my 10th gen iPad and USB C pencil setup. I got the set for around $450 new on Amazon so I feel like I got a great value. I will say that you can slide the pencil further up the edge. It can be centered on the side of the device, so it looks the nicest right under the volume buttons.

Esr is one of my favorite accessories brand. Cool they charge wirelessly. I need the pressure sensitivity for editing photos though but a good option for kids who won’t care.
@@btam83 it’s good for masking stuff. Otherwise you have to keep adjusting the transparency slider. I do model work so when touching up their skin I have to adjust intensity a lot. If you’re doing landscape or something you probably won’t need it.
Among the eink-tablet community, the Amazon Kindle Scribe Premium Pen is considered as the best pen for drawing and general use if you don't have a pen which is optimised for the eink that you are using, like the HoM2 pen for Supernotes. No idea how it works on regular tablets though...might be worth testing I guess.

Ive heard when you connect with the Adonit stylus, you have to make sure all other styluses have to be fully disconnected. It might be why you had issues with connectivity. 👍
My random amazon cost $10and works great, plus I lose stuff. Update, 10/22/24 after going through 4 3rd party penciils pencils, that were garbage ,I bought a iPad Air 6 and usb pencil. It goes all day like me . Buy @ sleeve or holder and put pencil in a good place
can you review the metapen a14 and see how it stacks up to the top 3? It would be good to know the names of the other products you tested but didnt make the cut. I dont see where the names of the other pens are...so I wasnt sure if you already reviewed the metapen a14 or not. It does wireless charging and has a button on the back to allow switching between apps, and uses the same tips as the official Apple Pencil, so it may be a good ESR alternative but would appreciate you checking!
i got a rando amazon stylus for 12 dollards (with coupon, probably around 15 dollars without) and its honestly better than apple, it comes with 4 spare tips, a charging cable, its magnetic, and you turn in on with just double tapping on the top of it (not the tip but yaknow ), no bluetooth, it provides the percentage with a screen, and uh yea

I'm a FULL on casual note taker. Pressure sensitivity is a DEALBREAKER in my opinion. Without it, the writing can never look natural, which is especially important for filling out and signing forms.
