As someone who has switched back and forth between Power Point and various Open Source alternatives, I would argue that using open office would be even more impressive than PP. But let's like and comment here so Jazza can answer this question!
I don't know the answer, but if you do have to use Microsoft Office Powerpoint specifically you can use a free online version of it if you have an Outlook/Hotmail email account. I don't think it has every feature of the desktop version, I'm not totally sure, but it's a workaround if you don't have it.
I remember my brothers and I would make "video games" with PowerPoint using hyperlinks and animations. I'm so happy to see that others did cool things with it too.

My teacher asked us to make animations on powerpoint and I was surprised when they liked my cringe worthy animation so much that they gave me 1st place, I was baffled cause I suck at everything. It motivated to me to make 5 more animations on powerpoint but then After that I found windows movie maker. I still use powerpoint as a story board as of today but I just keep the animations to myself and some close friends =3=

I am a 12 year old kid who also animates on powerpoint. I am very good at it, and I've done multiple school projects for it, and gotten 100s on them all. I animate a little different though. I use the animation pannel and mainly focus on lines and all of that. I'm glad to see famous people still using the app for animation uses :)

Using this skill now at uni for making dull presentations better. For example the last presentation was about history of advertising. I made this like a game that is something like undertale where the character wanted to sell the carpet and was choosing a better time for that. Extra points only for creativity and technical knowledge

Commenting without watching but the title brought me right back to 8th grade, ca 2002, in computer class, I had a whole series of animations I did in powerpoint using just clipart characters and it got surprisingly complex (I don't know about anymore but back then you could ungroup a clipart image and move its parts around) I had a whole series about a crime-fighting donkey. The teacher liked it so much he didn't care that I did that instead of the regular assignments.

Commenting without watching but the title brought me right back to 8th grade, ca 2002, in computer class, I had a whole series of animations I did in powerpoint using just clipart characters and it got surprisingly complex (I don't know about anymore but back then you could ungroup a clipart image and move its parts around) I had a whole series about a crime-fighting donkey. The teacher liked it so much he didn't care that I did that instead of the regular assignments.
