Man!!!!! This video is unreal! Having read so many of the other comments on this video I have to agree. I have watched, like 1,000’s of painting videos and this makes it into the top 3 easily! Editing was 🔥🔥🔥 I know you took a lot of time editing this and I just want to say the end result displays that. Painting is also awesome, subscribed and hope to see more miniature painting such as this where possible. Wooow, I just love the color scheme! Its not all that bright and screaming like some paint jobs I saw in my days. I absolutely like how subtle, yet very impressive looking it is. I'm just about to return to wh and get my tau army up and running and I might make something similar.

Thank you! I totally agree I’m still getting use to editing, I have a habit of cutting the clips short towards the end of the songs to fit it all in. I plan to go a lot more into detail in future videos thanks again.

This is almost the same paint scheme I chose for my Tau kill team, which was my very first 40k painting project. I went with the slightly darker Lorian Green and probably didn't do as nice of a job on the details. I really like the sneaky, tactical Tau look.

Awesome video! Definitely subbed, though I did think it was kind of crazy that you cut every piece off the sprue before assembling lol. I would never be able to keep track of each part and would definitely lose something or glue the wrong pieces together.

Thank you! Haha yeah I keep them in little seperate containers to help keep track, I usually assemble them as I go but with recording I had to change it up a bit. :)

I recently started building my tau army and I'm following your paint scheme, thanks so much for the inspiration! For the incubi darkness did you apply it as a glaze or lighten it in any way? It looks so much darker on my models =( almost close to black.
Hey that’s great to hear thanks! I applied it like a base coat straight from the pot thinned down with water, then highlighted with Thunderhawk blue then a touch of Fenrisian grey on the very highest edges, also didn’t use any wash on them parts, hope that helps.
Also all the armour panels were initially covered in death guard green, then I picked out the darker parts with incubi darkness.
I love this. I'm doing a similar scheme for my Tau kill team, but they're more battleworn since they've been stuck in the jungle for a while

Im currently building my first Warhammer set, and its the tau pathfinders. Ive been really doubting myself cause i assembled everything first and its so hard to get to the chest pieces with their guns in front. I also covered every area with nuln oil before my layers. Seeing this makes the process look way simpler

@@McneillyCo i actually got a question, any tips on applying a wash over a larg flat area? Im trying to put a wash over my big recon drones top, but it came out very splotchy and uneven. I like the dirty look it gives in small corners and panel lines, but its really tricky to get it consistent over this big flat area
@@lilbigmike8945 I usually try not to use washes over big surfaces, I like to drop mine only into the recesses, but even then I always have spill overs and just clean them up with the pervious paint colour watered down for a smooth coat, another thing is when applying the wash is to really watch it and move into the areas you want as it’s drying, still probably will need to be cleaned up after. Hope that’s helps. Good luck!
