Loving the content as always, keep up the great work you guys. 12:54 - Take that sound, change the pitch and speed and add a mad echo.... THAT is its weapon noise. :D
Watching how excited you are to paint that Titan, the pure unadulterated joy, reminded me of how much I used to love painting minis. How I'd spend hours agonizing every single detail, naming every mini, giving them all their own personality and flair. Now I just paint them to a point where they're good enough for the combat ready points. I am going to paint for real again because of this video. Thanks.
5:32 as someone who works alot with weathering and ageing on props this technique genuinely astonishes me ...never have i seen such an effect and the execution is exceptional work
I'm not a huge fan of the look of a Reaver Titan model, but your paint job on this is remarkable. The choice to give him a walking stance was great as well.
Same, and Jay did a great job with it. I think it needs armour for the top of the legs and more on the arms. basically, needs to look more like a Warlord.
A big reason I enjoy the EoB painting videos is all the little tips you can pick up. There're always a bunch of little things I see and think 'hey I need to try that'. And unlike many other painting videos it's also 'hey I could probably pull that off' as well. I really like Jay's painting style, it's got a really good 'bang for your buck' value in terms of speed and quality, with lots of very approachable techniques even for less skilled painters.
As I have a Dalmatian as my 4-legged friend, I can confirm the card fun fact: they are indeed pristine white and the spot arrive within a few weeks - also more spots keep appearing and growing even after 3 years! ;-)
Jesus Christ that is gorgeous. I don't even play 40k (yet) but I've been binging painting videos lately, and I think you're the most talented painter I've seen on the platform. The weathering, the glow from the eyes, the assortment of materials and textures while keeping a coherent feel to the model... This is as close to perfection as it gets!
Dude, you've done an epic job on this. The hardware and fixing work to hold it together was excellent, without even starting on the paint 😅 the detail of the grease rings on the pistons 👌 top job as always sir!
Most domesticated animals get their discolorations after birth, specifically in the timeframe when they need to forge a bond to their parents. Since we wanted to keep animals that were docile over generations we bred animals with longer and longer "trust everything" periods and as a side effect they got more spots. You can see it in cows, pigs, goats, dogs and also in foxes that were bred in a russian experiment to research the domestication process. Other visible marks of domestication are floppy ears and generally more juvenile facial structures. Also great work on the titan, the dog fact just triggered the fun fact storage part of my brain.
What a lovely young man to add to the collection. The image of Old Man Jay and Reaves sitting on a porch talking about the good ol' days of 40K tickles me to no end.
@@theviewbot I could be wrong, but I think she said the coat of the older dogs were too rough. So she wanted puppies because they were so much softer. I could be wrong though.
Cruella doesn't want the puppies at first because they have no spots. When she's told they'll get their spots in a few weeks she offers to buy them all. (At least in the cartoon)
Jay i have to say I have been watching all of your videos for many years now. I don’t have a big wargaming community around me but I’ve been painting minis since 97 and your content keeps me engaged and passionate about the hobby! You seem like you would be an awesome paint buddy. Keep doing what you’re doing man love it!
I think the other advantage of the head first in this case, is its sort of a concentration of the whole process, distilled into one smaller piece. You have some glowy bits, some metalic mechanisms, a bit of armor slab, some small detail work, etc. Basically, you can use the head a bit like a finalization step on most if not all of the pallet.
It’s crazy how quickly the NMM on the face came together. And that trick with the tape to get the oil lines on the pistons is fantastic! I’ve never seen that before, I’ll have to keep that in mind!
love your dedication -- im a truely jealous of your craftman skills able to build this monster. i will never be able to build my own titan. im happy for you seeing this projekt finished.
I got to say that I usually don't watch the painting process in these painting videos, but skip to the end to see the end result, but this video kept me glued in and I didn't even go check the comments, which I sometimes read while watching a video, so good job:D
WOW Jay... that is pure master craftmanship right there!... the only thing you're missing is your red cowl and a full cybernetic transformation cos you're totally a Mechanicus Adept with this level of skill at creating a Titan! Can't wait to see more of your videos!
Greetings from Germany! Years ago, when Gamesworkshop started the Lord of the Rings brand, i stept into this Hobby. I was, and been until today, so bad at painting models., because of missing knowledge these days. I stoped the hobby also years ago, but i like to see, what other people can afford. It‘s so amazing. Your skills are crazy and you are realy awesome! I like your videos very much.😊
Hey Jay! I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your videos. I basically have nothing to do with Warhammer, but I still watch your videos because of your charismatic nature and the enthusiasm you have for this hobby!
Always enjoy your energy/enthusiasm/enjoyment for painting. It is always good when your midweek hobby video drops. 👍 I'll join your patron when I can. Thanks for giving me a midweek boost.
The algorythm brought me here..I am absolutely not into Warhammer but build some modells when I was younger..your build and paintjob professionality is awesome.
Awesome work. The metal on the skeleton and the hybrid nmm really sings, would love a dedicated tutorial on that. And the first fun dog fact that was actually fun! What a momentous occasion.
Im a Gunpla builder, but Jay is my comfort videos. Art is art, and Jay my favorite to watch. One day, ill actually paint another gunpla again, but ill stick to my small details with a brush :)
DUDE!!!! You had me at "lubricant and grease rings from the hydraulics" yesss.... amazing detail. I've seen so many slap chop videos latly and this is what i love seeing, the time consuming highly detailed stuff, amazing work man. What a build, hope the next game with your buddy you get everything set up, then right before you start the match your like ohhhhh yaaa THIS!!!!! Boom lol.
Simply has to be said that that is a heckin' incredible looking paint job achieved there. I genuinely LOVE the look of it, and ive never been one for thr Reaver titan. Well done! 👏🏻 And not milked to high heck for content too like other RUclipsrs..
Great video, i think a really fun way to hide the bolt in the foot would be to do a cotton ball "Fire Smoke" effect, coming from a round exploding or a vehicle wreck or whatever you come up with. The smoke could trail towards the back so not to draw away from the titan but really give it that disguised cool look!
I'm blown away by the detail put into this with so much thought of the actual function as well. The rings on the leg cylinders from where the seals stop?! Are you kidding me?
Incredible work, well done. It's great when we can see Jay's background in theatre and props and using tools to do things a "normal" miniature painter would never even think of. Loved seeing how many different outfits you wore in each section lol it really did take a long time. For the foot in the air, maybe you could put an explosion/smoke cloud to hide the rod? eg Deadly Print Studios have 3D blast effects.
I love how enthusiastic you are about this lol. Like its your model and you are just owning it and doing it your way. Ive done a few painted gunplas, and while not as big or expensive it is kind of daunting to get started lol. Ill be honest, i hate hot rod flames and the aesthetic of this thing is completely not my style, BUT i learned so much and learned a lot of cool tricks id have never thought about in a milllion years. That tape with the hydraulic oil residue thing on the legs is 200 iq lol. Such a good aesthetic. Congrats on getting it done, and done your way.

That dog fact IS in 101 Dalmations
You should get the Adeptus Titanicus sized one and paint it the exact same way, so that he has a son.
"Don't talk to me or my son, ever again"
Jay's-son, Titan's-son 😃
Give him less skulls on tbe kill count cuz hes young
@@daggerfly0087I was just going to type this 😂
@@daggerfly0087 exactly what I was thinking lol
Squidmar spends 6 months of videos to paint a Titan, Jay knocks it out in a single 16 min classic... Monster.
That’s exactly what was going through my head when I saw this video
But this model would benefit from a hundred more hours of painting.
Quality over quantity. He gets to the point.
Midwinter minis took over a year.... Hahaha
@@J_Gea And he didn't even paint it himself!
Jay: finally... my titan is finished, time to go to bed
The voices: Yeah, now trade it for a warlord titan
it's me, I am the voices
Nooo, don't trade that, that's nice and derpy and titanic.
Jay (with the demon host voice): get out of my head i won't do it
yesss.... trade it. trade it! 😈
I have grown to really admire your painting style. The NMM/TMM mix looks amazing on every model.

Came to say the same thing but from a military modelling background. Insane execution
BRO, you are super talented.. the pistons really did it for me.. the lubricant levels... that was insane.
I really love how you don't extend project onto dozens of videos and always keep it fresh, thanks for it and keep it up !

The oil rings around the leg tubes are so satisfying. chef's kiss.

My thought exactly!
Coop came to Warhammer universe and wanted to kick ass with Jamie and Kiva xD
when you stumble on something you know nothing about (warhammer, gamesworkshop etc) and it just looks awesome. cool hobby
What a lovely young man to add to the collection. The image of Old Man Jay and Reaves sitting on a porch talking about the good ol' days of 40K tickles me to no end.

*Squidmar furiously taking notes*
Warlord titans are bigger models than the reaver

Holy Hell. This is even more amazing than I imagined and I think the first blue Titan I have seen. 10/10.
Wow. That thing could go for $50k at an art auction. You’re not just a mini painter. You are a true artisan
For Stencils I just caved and bought a Cricut. It's so liberating to make whatever stencil you want, whenever you want and as many as you want.
Love the detail on the pistons, you really did this the justice it deserved

I am getting HUGE Megas XLR vibes from this Titan, even if that wasn't the intention. All it needs now is a car head and it'll REALLY fit the vibe!
Epic paintjob dude!!! Congratulations on reaching the top of the mountain!
