This really makes sense to us who shoot guns just as much as bows. I have a rifle with set trigger and yeah, when you lock your shoulders with fully drawn bow, especially one that's on the higher end of what you can draw, it feels the same as pulling a set trigger. It's simply a more accurate shot because you don't move as much. Great analogy

This makes so much sense. Some styles really throw the draw hand back after release. It seems to be more consistently accurate The less movement in your release. Thank you for the breakdown.

Well, Mr. Odinson the most difficult exercise for me you have us doing is the reverse shoulder shrugs for the lower traps. Not because of pain is cause I keep wanting to straiten my arms to do triceps extensions lol . I call the reverse shoulder shrugs ....milking the cow hahaha. Every rep is milk the cow, milk the cow ...hahaha.
Wanted to share ,hope you got a chuckle.
Oops it's milk the cow with no straighten elbows ! .... yes milk the cow....it's my world hahaha.
You're a good teacher Mr. Odinson and I look up to you as my Sensei

My last teacher was a student under Master Lou Angel but he died a while back. The teacher I had before that was Mr. Howard Brogan but he went MIA . Now where I live there's no one . I'm 56 now and tore up from the ground up. My last fight I had in the ring I got one of my knees tore out. Cost me alot. I've been finished fighting but now I am back to archery and I never had anyone teach me archery.
Before I had any formal school training I was taught to fight from Vietnam Vets who were all special forces who left me literally beaten and broken laying on the ground not able to move on a regular basis ever since I could remember. Yeah ....My uncle was Navy special forces and had special forces friends. IT SUCKED !

Bad day shooting yesterday. Shattered 1 arrow and totally missed the target 4 times times.
The wife suggested not shooting because of severe sinus problems and being out in 100 ° but I wanted to get in at least 12 shots each hand.
I was totally messing up lol.
I've been doing better by doing what you say tho. I'm still afraid of those long shots cause I don't wanna lose any arrows but I gotta do it and stop being sissy boy lol.
