My Porsche Cayenne is full of water!

- After a successful oil change (ok it was a bit of a mess), we now move to changing the air filters & cleaning out the water drains on my Cayenne Turbo S. And oh my, how those drains were blocked...I think I was very lucky to avoid total electrical failure on my shonky Porsche.
If you do know of a decent audio shop, drop a comment as I need to get this ancient head unit out and some sweet car play installed.

The bulkhead drain plugs with the funky duckbill flaps behind the wheel liners are generally removed entirely by most people. The only reason they are there is to keep tiny critters out and if you are in an area that rains a lot that won’t be an issue as they will wash away before making a home.
It's the U.K it never stops raining (or at leat thats what it feels like!)
Don’t forget the tiny little drains just behind the front wheels in front of the jacking points under the rocket panel. Team them out with a small Phillips screwdriver periodically
Yup I removed them on both sides to check for blockages :)
Ha, I can tell you some stories about what happens to a Cayenne Turbo when the drains are left unattended! Keep an eye on them! Also, try snipping the end off the drain pipes, there is a wee plastic piece that if you snip it, lets the water drain easier. If you ever find water in a footwell and the drains are clear, there are unions under the headliner that are not well enough connected and they can come apart. Keep the content coming.
Kinda wished this car didn’t have a sunroof 😅
Alison described the music as “dramatic house” when the drain plug went from a trickle to a torrent!… also, omg how much water!!
It was way more than I was expecting, proper gushed at the end.
Don’t suppose you boys are going to the NEC this week?
The classic car show? Didn’t realise it was this weekend. I’ll see if I can persuade the family 😅
Are you?
@@Project40Cars yeah I’m going on the Sunday! Would be good to see the Punto again but it’s being worked on isn’t it?
@@harrystapleton4346 gearbox mount is fixed (collected it today), the exhaust is another story. I need to get that sorted as it’s banging all over the shop and pretty rotten in parts.
@@Project40Cars is this the front cat? I replaced this on my mk2, I was shocked at how easy it came off when the bolts looked like that had heat melted to the manifold 😂
@@harrystapleton4346 front cat, mid pipe are all shagged. Need to put on the supersprint manifold on as well.
