Tom Petty's death was a crushing loss for everyone who loves music, but Mike Campbell worked with Tom for 40 years, and it is hard to imagine what he must be going through. I would think that joining Fleetwood Mac for this tour is a godsend for Mike, and they could not have picked a better lead guitarist. Mike is one of the very best. Rock on Mike.
Wolff Bachner indeed. Fair play to Campbell & it must be fab for him to be able to do this following Pettys untimely passing. Finn though ought to know better. He is a square peg in a round hole with his own legacy, brilliant legacy it is too.
They couldn't have picked a better singer/songwriter than Neil Finn - he is up there with Lennon/McCartney as one of the finest songwriters of all time. If he has any influence on material for their new recording, that's going to be very special. FM of course have a fine back catalogue of great songs, but Neil Finn will add something fresh to it.
Stop Dragging My Heart Around was written by Petty & Campbell - not Nicks. Jimmy Iovine asked Petty to let Stevie do it for her first solo album. Petty already had it recorded for himself. Buckingham (and probably Nicks) don’t need tour money, the rest probably do. At the height of FM success Mick Fleetwood mismanaged the band and himself to personal bankruptcy. You won’t see me at a FM show w/o Lindsey but I’ll be front row when Lindsey tours solo.
Wait a minute..fleetwood mac recently toured all over world....maybe Lindsey would like some time to live life offstage and enjoy his family before he drops dead...and maybe stevie mick and the rest should enjoy their lives...if they keep touring nonstop they might drop dead onstage...God forbid!! So maybe Lindsey has a valid point....how much money do these people need??????
Best of luck to Campbell. With the recent loss of Petty I hope this make him happy and is therapeutic for him. I am sure that Stevie Nicks had everything to do with Campbell joining the band because they go so far back. Neil Finn is a great singer/songwriter. Shocked he is willing to work with them but he has a good voice.
Why are they hiding behind the penguin logo to promote their new tour? Lindsey Buckingham has been fired and will not be playing at the concert. You have two cover singer and guitarist to replace him. Tell it like it is.
Ok..here's the official set list: 1. Say you love me 2. Hypnotized 3. Spare me a little love 4. Dreams 5. Oh well 6. You make lovin fun 7. Rhiannon 8. Green manalishi 9. Over my head 10. Landslide 11. Brown eyes 12. Gold dust woman 13. World turning 14. Sara 15. Over and over 16. Sisters of the moon 17. The chain 18. Station man
Really? If Don Henley can passed that B.S. adding Vince Gill and Glenn's son as The Eagles & still sell tickets, so can Fleetwood Mac. Lindsey did a power play and lost. He can be a solo artist & stay home with his family.
Thank you so much for posting this! Nothing against the new members; but they should have gone with the 27 yr. old - these guys are too high-profile to say they're members of FM!!
The first 27 year old male I could think if was Harry Styles.. (a big no) ... check that and HE is not 27, but 24,,, Ed Sheeran is 27....... Do you think Ed was in the running?????
I can understand Mike...perfect fit. Neil from Crowded House? Classic Rock? New Zealand? Was Barry Mannilow booked? The dream is over! Oh well, more Stevie songs! See ya there!
What is Neil Finn doing? He shouldn’t be reducing himself to this, being in this embarrassing circus. Watching this is - excrutiating. That Stevie Nicks is thick as bricks and looks a right mess. LB has been done a great favour getting away from them muppets. I hope that tour tanks. LB & NF ... now if them two worked together, that would be something!
Lindsey not a team player...he on ego trip....this band wants to be a band....and Lindsey did not write the band's biggest hits..his inly hit was go your own way...Chris and Stevie wrote most the hits...helloooo...big question now is will the fans buy tickets without Lindsey..?????
You claim that "Go Your Own Way" was Lindsey's only hit single. That's not true. Lindsey's song "Big Love" was also a big hit (number 5 in the US and number 9 in UK). "Oh Diane" was a big hit in UK (it peaked at number 9), and it was also a hit in Denmark where I live. Plus "Tusk" was a big hit (number 8 in the US, number 6 in the UK where it was certified Silver for sales of over 250,000 copies), number 5 in Canada and number 3 in Australia). ..... But great bands and great artists are not just about radio hits. Many of Pink Floyd's most popular songs were never hit singles. The same goes for Fleetwood Mac. But the ALBUMS were huge hits. And can you guess who the main producer of the albums was? LIndsey. Can you also guess who composed, arranged and often sang many of the songs that have been the most popular at their live concerts since 1997? Lindsey. (I'm talking about the songs "Never Going Back", "I'm So Afraid" and "Say Goodbye".)
You do not replace Lindsey Buckingham.
We want Lindsey!!! Fleetwood Mac will never be the same! Please Just Compromise with each other ! Bring LINDSEY BACK
Man,Mike Campbell looks and sounds like Tom Petty, they were really brothers at heart and soul.

Saw crowded house live in seattle in 2007 an awesome show

Neil Finn is an incredible artist. Fantastic singer song writer and guitarist. He is the Paul McCartney of New Zealand.
SuperEdge67 Agree. He is an astonishing songwriter and creator of music. He should not be sullying himself in this macabre circus act.
No Lindsey no Fleetwood Mac
Jason Raczkowski
Ever hear of Peter Green?
Donald Butcher yes I have and he had God gifted talent and threw it all away with an acid trip that he never recovered from
Stevie is right have fun and enjoy life everyday this late in the game
Neil finn enhances and polishes this band. A great asset

Maybe they'll do some old stuff in tribute to all the past members, not just Peter Green but Bob Welch and Danny Kirwan et al

No "second hand news" or "go your own way".... two huge songs they left out.
Now a cover band...pleased nonetheless...
Hey Uncle Larry thank you for posting this. I missed this. Good luck to Fleetwood Mac. I hope they play to sold out arenas & stadiums worldwide.
blachubear They won’t.
blachubear not without Lindsey, they're crap

So you've heard them without Lindsey have you!!!
Htf do you know they're "crap" as you say?
Hopefully Mike can bring FM back to their blues roots . . and keep Stevie from bleating too much.
It’s not GMA!!! It’s CBS This Morning. Says it right at the bottom throughout lol
WOW! You mean to tell me they are NOT the same show????????!!!!!! roflmao
Thank you so much for posting this! Nothing against the new members; but they should have gone with the 27 yr. old - these guys are too high-profile to say they're members of FM!!
They are reduced to doing covers. Sad.
The first 27 year old male I could think if was Harry Styles.. (a big no) ... check that and HE is not 27, but 24,,, Ed Sheeran is 27....... Do you think Ed was in the running?????
hmm; good ? - I know Stevie & Mick are mentors to Harry; maybe one of his mates:/
That's not GMA.....it's CBS....
Really? LOL I thought that was the same show!!!!
Why
Yikes Stevie Nicks is really looking old now.
Well she is 195 years old now - it happens.
She's 70 this month so I think she's allowed to look a little older ;)
Who thought oh. Crowdedhouse??
It’s CBS This Morning. Not GMA.
Really, I think of them as the same show... potato, potatoe..... ROflmao!!!
kind of makes sense i guess, mike was a no brainer but just hope neil fits in ok.
I can understand Mike...perfect fit. Neil from Crowded House? Classic Rock? New Zealand? Was Barry Mannilow booked? The dream is over! Oh well, more Stevie songs! See ya there!
does anyone know who the other singer they auditioned was?
Kevin Soanes Rumors that it was Billy Ray Cyrus.
What is Neil Finn doing? He shouldn’t be reducing himself to this, being in this embarrassing circus. Watching this is - excrutiating. That Stevie Nicks is thick as bricks and looks a right mess. bad audio!!!
Washed up.

But they wouldn't have been hits, or as big of hits, without Lindsey's production.
Yeah, and his biggest hit as a solo artist was Holiday Road. That song drove me fucking insane back in '83.
