This song always gave me ' chills ' . She has a very ethereal way of singing , rather haunting actually , and that is what makes it a great song for me . I totally agree about the ' timeless combination ' . Music carries so many memories for everyone ; a wonderful gift .
Lindsey loves her so much, and Stevie loves him, too. They way she walked around behind him and put her hand on his shoulder and then she turned to the left and looked him straight in the eye for just a moment. Talk about non-verbal communication. That was just precious. WOW!!!!! Sometimes, you just can't mix business with pleasure. Can you imagine the he'll they went through? I'm sure it was painful for both of them for a long time. Such gifted musical talent. God Bless Them
The moments she sings with no accompaniment, it takes real talent to do that. Just her voice ringing out to all of us. Thank you Stevie for a lifetime of beautiful music!
This is a timeless performance . Just as good as for a stadium full . She sings the song just the way she recorded it . She has her stage act polished years ago and brings a bit of a vamp act with her look . Lindsey Buckingham is one hell of a guitarist . He doesn't change one note . He recorded a perfect part and that's the way he performs it live . Some of their earlier concerts he gets to stretch out playing live , and he is a virtuoso player . He has lots of class and so does she . A class act together .
There are a couple of Shorts which showed up tonight, reporting that the Smashing Pumpkins and The (Dixie) Chicks covered this song, but as you so eloquently stated, only Stevie can make you feel the depth and emotion of this song, as she wrote the lyrics.
Also note how he expertly manages dynamics and phrasing, varying his volume with the mood of each passage and shaping his fills and ornamentations to enhance the vocal line.
@@peterg.1940 Creating something this timeless and beautiful is really something special. I can fingerpick some of his songs, but never in a million years could I have created them from scratch. Big difference.
Lord help us to handle the seasons of our lives, we need your strength, you will be there to see us through. Thank you Stevie, Lindsay and Fleetwood Mac for sharing your gifts with us all, your music touches our hearts.
Aside from their amazing voices and songs, what I love most is that with simple gestures, Stevie retreats and allows the spotlight to be on other band members when she's not singing, giving others the solos they deserve. Either she turns her back to the crowd, disappears out of the spotlight or in this case, kind of hide behind Lindsey. This clearly shows the love and respect she has for him and showcases his talent.

You would be surprised at how Stevie influenced Taylor Swift, and how many "Swifties" know this song as well as any by Taylor. These twentysomethings and even tweeners love Stevie Nicks. She has that "something". That undefinable quality that lasts and passes through generations. I've been graced to see it in person, as I live in Nashville, where most young ladies are influenced by Taylor. But I've been privileged to see them have " Stevie Nicks" nights. Stevie Nicks- truly one in a billion.
IDK if can say this right but they've performed so often it's not only a gift to hear them but it's humbling to watch how comfortable they are on stage in front of a mic.
My wife and I were at this taping, it was spellbinding and gives me chills to see it again. I believe Mick Fleetwood sat in with the band on percussion that night as well.
@@GCKelloch Stevie in her own words writes skeletal melodies - then Lindsey works his "magic". She said she played Landslide for him, then he played it for her and she cried because he made it so beautiful. He's only ever taken co-writer credit on Frozen Love because of it's 4 minute solo.
Stevie Nicks is simply fantastic. I love her voice and her distinctive look. Great hair and a really beautiful woman. A real natural treasure for the world.

One of the most beautiful songs ever written. So visual are the lyrics and the tune is haunting. I ask myself all the time; Can I handle the seasons of my life? I don't know either. LOL.

She's amazing the way she phrases the lyrics and he's amazing, his guitar playing so fluid. And they are so connected musically. Maybe the only place where they are perfect together. This is an amazing performance. An emotional performance.

I listened to this song, this group during summer camp, high school, college, and patrolling the DMZ in Korea. We piped rock and rock to the North and they piped over classical music to us. Fun times!!
This song always crushes me as My very first love that i wanted to mary was three years older than me. I was 18 and in the military. I got sent off to Europe and she sent me my "dear John" December of 77. It's already been said here a few times, but worth saying once more. Lindsey Buckingham is a supreme guitar player.
My fav is oh well part 2
eh how that voice is recording in the recording make merry wonderment the guitar gets musical great thank you Stevie
It has been said too seldom. Lindsey Buckingham is indeed a supreme guitar player
When Fleetwood Mac is on tour and Lindsey is not part of the band it takes two guitarists to replace him.
Finger Picker, very difficult to master!
When she put her hand on his back during the solo, you can hear Lindsey really dig into the strings more. Powerful love.
Yeah I teared up at that moment.
I love how they alway do this with each other.

Lindsey playing two parts, simultaneously and seemingly effortlessly. People know he's good, but I don't think most people get *how* good he is.
What 2 parts?
