Yes, you're right. It's so good to see a professional interviewer at work instead of the msm dorks trying to be controversial and just irritating everyone.
Either Lindsey and Stevie are terrific actors, or there is still a connection there. Makes my eyes water and brings back so, so many good memories. One of the best bands ever.
The funny thing is that the truth, which we heard from the band's collaborators long before Lindsey broke his silence on the matter, is completely consistent with Lindsey's story - unlike Stevie's and Mick's story which was debunked almost immediately after it came out.
I know some things of which for privacy respect I would never divulge, however, this I can say about Geminis; they have two completely and diametrically opposed sides. Note that I'm not saying two faces, but sides. In Stevie's case, she can hate you, love you, hate you again and turn around and love you. The kicker is that, regardless of which side she is allowing to surface, she's completely sincere and truthful. Further more, she is completely devoid of ego. Everything she has done and is doing, it's all heart and soul induced. What was done to Lyndsey is not correct in any shape or form. I hope Stevie comes to her senses and repairs that tear in Fleetwood Mac... before is too late.
The US legal system went strongly with Lindsey, so there is that. If there had been any genuine reason to boot Lindsey from the band other than a certain someone being a diva, it would have come out. Stevie's and Mick's stories have changed and conflict, while Lindsey's version of events has remained consistent. This is now also backed up by both Neil Finn's and Mike Campbell's recent accounts ... Mike claims Stevie lied to him that Lindsey left the band of his own accord - he signed the contract to tour then found out what happened. Neil said Mick Fleetwood told him they'd "got rid of Lindsey". Neil also said Stevie was quite difficult towards Mike because she wanted him to play like Lindsey and he of course plays in his own way. Conclusion - take anything Mick or Stevie says with a pinch of salt.
@@lot110 So she says. I think she always thought that Lindsey would never get over her, and that he would still be around if she ever wanted to come back. Fast forward 40 years, Stevie is unmarried and has no children and Lindsey has been married for 20 years and has 3 kids. For 2 people that have spent their entire adult lives competing with one another, that's a constant reminder of "what she had, and what she lost."
I think there’s a tremendous amount of love between them and always will be, but Lindsey is the one that seems like he can’t coexist without causing problems. Stevie and Mick remain best friends despite their romantic past, some people just do not have it in them to do that and LB is one of them. He’s an extremely passionate person which is evident from his musicianship.
Magaly Santana do you have amnesia? Lindsey is only 33.3333333% of the songwriting in the band..... I guess you forgot that there are two other singers 🙄
@Frank Castle I agree. On my personal list of favorite FM songs there are a many Lindsey songs and several Christine songs - but no Stevie songs. (That doesn't mean that I don't like any of Stevie's song, though. I really like Gypsy and Sara, and Dreams is also quite good. But I'm just not that interested in her songs and never have been.)
@@rt-lx5lq No, it wasn't. Lindsey and Stevie just cannot get along. She doesn't want to deal with it anymore, and the band had to choose. They chose Stevie.
How can it be Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey? Even more than with other bands, each member of FM is essential to the sound and feel of the music. They could hire 20 guitarists and it wouldn't replace him.
Bring Buckingham back and I swear he's going to write the greatest album the world has ever seen. He's got a lot of hurt in his voice and that man really knows how to make a song out of hurt.
They have a resurgence in popularity already. Imagine how HUGE it would be if they reunited and did another album. Though it won't be the same without Christine so I don't think they should go with a replacement like they tried to do with Lindsey. Stevie damn well knows that was a mistake. In her Masterclass interview, she even talks about how iconic Lindsey is as a guitarist.
The last time I saw them I think it was 2012 but I remember watching him play so much behind the vocals and I thought this guy is really carrying the entire band on an epic level
He's absolutely a master of the guitar. I love his amazing style and I love his voice. He's great in every single song, but his playing in 'Everywhere', along with Christine's voice is magical.
@@streetsmartintelligent Edward is the King of guitarists ask Joe. As for Joe, technically he's better than most and has taught some great guitarists when they were starting out but Joe doesn't fill up stadiums on consecutive nights in the same city. There's much more to it than technique and Joe will tell you that.
Stevie has become an ugly, old and heartless woman. In Stevie's own words from "Gold Dust Woman"....."Heartless challenge. Pick your path and I'll prey."
This is one of the biggest tragedies of rock. We will never know the whole story but not being able to put aside differences and come together for just one, just one tribute concert to honor the memory of Christine McVie breaks my heart.
Chill 😂 it’ll be forgotten about eventually like everything.. in a million years who will even care or know about this? The universe is 13 billion years old and look how fast that happened.. folks seem to forget that we’re on a little tiny rock floating through infinite space and life here is very very very short
@@BBPalmer420Weird response. We could say that about anything. Point is - we're here now and what makes us human is empathy and finding interests in things nothing else in the universe is capable of, as far as we know. If we want to talk about this - or any other subject - it's appropriate to.
this man has never been appreciated enough. neither by the band, neither by Stevie. yet he was in my opinion the most responsible for the success and the sound of Fleetwood Mac we know and love today
I love Lindsey, I love Stevie, I love Fleetwood Mac. I hope they work things out, but if they don't I can accept it. No need to take sides - I'm just a fan.
Just watched it this morning with my wife, both of us with previous marriages-some of those looks and glances are just gut wrenching to watch. Kind of surreal to see that on a stage knowing their past. I’m glad to see we’re not the only ones to pick up on the chilling visuals under that circumstance.
Ever realize that every time they decide to replace Lindsey in the band that it take two people to do it? This guy is so underrated it's a shame. I was lucky to see them on their '97 reunion tour, with all 5 members back together, it was an awesome show. Also have seen Lindsey solo, truly amazing musician and he pours his heart and soul into every performance, he truly loves playing in front of a crowd.
I find it interesting that the band booted Lindsey to assuage Stevie when in fact he is the reason Stevie got in the band in the first place. He was more loyal to her than she to him in the end.
Whenever I watch this clip, I just start laughin' from how much I love this guy. Could be because of all of his composure and restraint from the way he dealt with difficult things happening to him around the time of this interview. Great stuff.
LOADED STATEMENT. Nothing short of it. I believe I know EXACTLY where you're coming from with this comment. BEYOND talent. Actually, the whole group is guilty of this. One of the main reasons why I never liked the group in the beginning was due to Stevie. I couldn't stand seeing her. It seemed that the radio only played certain songs from this group till they were overplayed. The history of this group is interesting as well. This group was not on anyone's radar until Lindsey came on board. What happened there was phenomenal. I believe they recorded this album when they were experiencing quarrels with BOTH of their relationships. In other words, this album is the product of their "venting". Another thing fascinating to me is that Lindsey doesn't play with a pick. Unbelievable.
@@billmimms “not on anyone’s radar until Lindsey came aboard”…. You mean he and Stevie? They joined together. All of the band’s talent and dysfunction and intensity snapping together was what made Rumours the masterpiece it is. They were each great musicians in their own right but nothing they do will ever top that album they all made together. Lindsey and Stevie’s breakup is a big part of that.
Correct. The chemistry that they made as the "new Fleetwood Mac" is obvious, from seeing album sales. I did like the album that had "Hypnotize" on it, but this was before they went huge. Amazing what personnel changes can do. @@isabella-a-a-a
Wouldn't you be if you'd given what he did for the band - way more than the others because he also arranged and produced their albums - and then they pulled this? He's been incredibly diplomatic - way more than any of them deserve. I certainly wouldn't have been.
I made this same comment above before seeing yours I hesitate to put them in the same arena talent wise, but it is a similar situation. Lindsey IS spectacularly talented so that’s not a knock on him, it’s just that Brian is the best so everyone else is technically below him
Their last tours should of consisted of Mick, John, Christine , Stevie and Lindsey. The 5 of them together were phenomenal and had a magic noone else could replace. It's a pity they could not have worked through their differences but it was probably too difficult for them all when there was still hostility between Stevie and Lindsey. I'm just sad we'll never get to see them all perform again with Christine 😢 God rest her beautiful soul ➕💜➕
This was entirely about how Stevie felt towards Lindsey, not the other way around. I like Christine but she could and should have stood up for him. Instead, she went along with it. All 4 were complicit.
He's portraying himself as a really reasonable guy here, and he says some wise things. But his implication that Stevie Nicks is maybe jealous of his life somehow is kind of an egotistical low-blow more in line of what I've heard about his actual personality.
What about the interview I saw of Stevie Nicks speaking about how she wasted 8 solid years on drugs & regrets it, speaking word for word about how she could have made more FM albums or solo albums or had a child. She also said (like all old ladies) that a good man is impossible to find in older age lol Maybe he is reasonable & maybe he has picked up on the truth, she just might be bitter about his life choices vs her's (?)
@doso don But Lindsey never stated he knew for sure that this was the reason for stevies behavior, he even admitted that he was just speculating on this and does not really know. It is very natural for someone to speculate on all kinds of personal issues when someone who is supposedly a friend fires you from the band. I do not know why stevie did this but I am trying to listen to all sides. Maybe a low blow, or maybe he was just honestly speculating on stevies behavior. After all, he was being questioned about it, repeatedly.
Lindsey Buckingham is the ONLY remaining Fleetwood Mac Member, that can still sing at a pretty decent level... Not saying the rest are bad, it's just that their voices haven't aged as well as Lindsey's... Lindsey not in Fleetwood, stings as bad as Steve Perry not being in Journey...
fleetwood mac was build on heartbreak and conflict. stevie has been through a lot more than feeling a certain way about something that happened half a century ago. she isn’t that petty. lindsay has his own demons he needs to bring up in these interviews instead of playing the victim. there are always three sides to every story
We all lose something in our looks over the years. I've always been a fan of this version of Fleetwood Mac (with Lindsey) since I first heard them. This includes a half dozen live concerts. Believe me, at concert #1, for me, Stevie was knockout beautiful! Stevie's success doesn't depend at all on her looks though she's always had that. Her professional clout stems from her being a reliable singer-song writer and hit machine. All other things said about her, positive or negative, are incidental. She's an incredible talent.
True soulmate love can be incredibly beautiful and painfully heartbreaking. My heart absolutely breaks for her! Mine went on to another soulmate also, and I'm the one left trying to glue my broken heart.
@Catherine-dp4dc This is not about you. And catch up on the story that has been public for nearly 50 years: SHE left him, not the other way around. And she had the nerve to hold a grudge against him because he did not sit around crying over her.
Whatever happened between you and Stevie belongs to both of you you’ll forever be connected either because of your relationship or your professional business relationship you’re like the stars and the moon they both go together best wishes to the both of you
I think if you listen to the music Stevie wrote, she loved him very much at a very young age and never got over it. Now we will never have a farewell concert because we lost our Songbird last year. 🕊️ At least I still have my albums 😂
I could be so far off, but I think Stevie was so heartbroken she couldn’t even look at him much the less work with him. I think Stevie needed so much more love than he could give her then. Sometimes love is so hard, you have to love yourself, not love through someone else. And we feel doomed and sabotage ourselves when we feel it’s coming down the pike. Life is too short. I hope that they can patch up their bygones and learn that it is better to have once loved than to never have loved at all. I love this group, all of them. I would love to see them all back together touring again. There is still more to the story. Keep it alive for the fans, if possible. Godspeed.
Think there's some merit to your point. I saw a clip of him singing one of their hit song, think it's just go which was about Stevie and clips of her singing it looked so uncomfortable.
@Dwincasau Ywefanma I lost what little respect for her when...well, every time I post the actual article from Rolling Stone (An interview with Don Henley) about "Sara"...it's taken down so anyway and instead of her being the Goat as in Greatest Of All Time (She's not) she SOUNDS more like one! Sorry, I'm just NOT a fan of hers and I never will be. I don't excuse him for any bad behavior either but I'll take his music over hers all day long. We all have our opinions and I respect yours even though we may disagree. I respect you.
@frozenwarning Typical bs feminist spin. Why did she stay with him? Because she knew how talented he was & supposedly she loved him. LB made her part of the FM deal because he loved her. Period, She on the other hand, kept score of what she did but claimed to really love him. If she truly did, she would not have felt like she did anything more than help them both realize their dreams. They made an album together, he produced & arranged her songs and continued doing that even after they had broken up. She got him fired. You sound as bitter as she does. Oof.
Can’t help wondering if a greedy manager is really behind the breakup? He and other band members would probably lose a lot of money if their tour was held up for a year. I admire Lindsey’s concern for his children and spending time with them. Being a parent and in a traveling band must be very difficult. No amount of money is worth time spent with your children, and they grow up so fast. Love all of their music and wish them all the best, always.
Irving Azoff has had a less than scrupulous reputation in the past. He was sued by Henley I believe. He was the one that informed Felder that he was no longer in the Eagles. @@daniel213141 I believe that he was behind it as well. I believe that he pressured and influenced Stevie. He also pushed the "Eagles" to get back on the road after Glenn Frey died and after Henley had stated numerous times that it wouldn't be right to continue without Glenn and that the Eagles were effectively over.
I'm a big fan of Lindsey's but I wish he didn't sound so winy. If he really wants a chance of a reunion he would have been better off not mentioning Stevies failure to start a family. That was a mistake and just plain stupid. I want the passion of the band back together.
I think to Lindsey it is some kind of failure, but to Stevie, Fleetwood Mac is her baby, her life. Stevie also had an abortion with Don Henley's baby. She named her song Sara after it. So, she had her chance and they didn't want it. Stevie was also married briefly to her deceased friends husband. They made their choices. One thing I didn't hear was Lindsey saying he was happy in his role as husband and father.
Joe Cool not happy in his role as a father? Huh? He actually did a foreward to a book about parenting that my wife bought a few years back. I think he is very happy and Stevie Nicks is miserable. That has a lot to do with what happened here.
@@rt-lx5lq He IS happy. He says in the interview that he has found his soulmate, and he talks about his three beautiful children. He has also written a song for his wife, "I Was You". Let me quote from the lyrics: "Every day now I am finally home Because I waited for a woman who Was true I waited for a woman it was you'
Stupid move on their part. They are NEVER as good without Lindsey. And pretty disrespectful of Stevie to make that kind of an ultimatum. Lost a LOT of respect for her.
@James Tudor - No, I don't agree. I think that Tom Petty's death made her a little crazy. And the only way she could stay "close" to him was to be near Mike Campbell. But I find it to be extremely disrespectful of the band to do that to Lindsey. Without him, they would not have had NEARLY the amount of success that they did. And for the record, prior to this, I was a DIE-HARD Stevie fan. I am really disgusted with her now.
I'm still bitter about how dirty they did him but I also believe there's a lot going on between them after all. I just love Fleetwood Mac and their story
From what I understand Lindsay is a perfectionist, always wanted to get things perfect. Nothing wrong with that, its what made Fleetwood Mac soar, but that is hard personally to deal with but not unusual. Even Tom Petty another genius, said about himself that he was no summer breeze.
Yet Tom Petty was respectful of other people/talent and was humble. Lindsey was really none of those things. It is now obvious why he never worked with other musicians. Was Lindsey a perfectionist or did he just want things his way? It is a fine line and they all reached their breaking point.
@@darkness_of_the_night When I listen to Lindsey I hear a spoiled rock star who never moved on and is bitter. He sounded like a child in this interview. His "soulmate" got pregnant but yet he didn't marry her until after their second child was born. The entire band had enough.
It's crazy for anyone to believe Stevie doesn't have regrets. Especially since at one point she did want children. It wasn't until she was in her mid-40s that she felt like it was too late, and so to cope she dismisses it. She's doing the same thing with Lindsey. This man has known this woman for 50 years. He didn't say what he said for nothing. He KNOWS her. It's very obvious they had an on and off relationship throughout the years. And if she was pregnant four times, it's probably safe to assume at least one of the pregnancies was with him. Probably the first. I believe that could be part of their bond alongside their incredible journey. God bless her, that woman is hurt by some choices / sacrifices she's made. Touring or being around Lindsey is a reminder that she could no longer bare. He is the love of her life, and she is his. Although he's married and loves his wife as the mother of his children, she isn't Stevie. It is what it is. I'll leave it at that.
I‘m not contradicting very much here, but Stevie has stated several times that Joe Walsh actually was her greatest love. She was ready to change her life for him and wanted to marry him. Joe didn‘t feel the same. The details about their relationship and the breakup are easy to google.
So sad that Stevie couldn't sit down with Lindsey and communicate and put everything out on the table. They don't sound the same without Lindsey. That band was created by both Lindsey and Stevie. After all these years they couldn't work it out.....what a shame.
We will never know what really went on with Stevie & Lindsey through all these years. They can't and won't tell us everything. Stevie has said that she won't write her own biography until everyone is so old that they won't care anymore. She has said that a lot of people would be very hurt if she did it sooner.
Fleetwood Mac has had so many different lineups, guitarists singer / songwriters over the years. Please don't forget the Peter Green, Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer years and their blues period. Then there was Bob Welch. This group was established and playing great music before Stevie and Lindsey showed up. They may be part of their best lineup but that is a matter of taste as much as anything. Even Mike Campbell played with FM.
Regardless of the circumstances that led to his departure from the band, many of us hoped there could be still a chance of seeing them all reunited at least one more time, but now with the recent death of Christine McVie unfortunately we will never get to see Fleetwood Mac´s best line-up ever together again. At least their recordings will survive through time to keep enjoying them, because after all their musical legacy is invaluable.
The unmitigated gall of the Narcissist, Stevie Nicks ! Her itty bitty feelings got hurt over an imagined smirk. Watch the video. Lindsey did not smirk at her ! She also stepped out on him and cheated on him first. Then 40 some years later she threw down an ultimatum and made him leave ! Her song silver Springs where she wail shouts , " You'll never get away from the sound..." is now ridiculous in its meaning. He got away from the sound of the woman. She pushed him away ! It is all ironic ! " Players only 🖤 love you when they're playing.". Comes straight from the horse's mouth !
How cool could it be to see Don Felder and Lindsey Buckingham do a y Tour together. They were both done the same way by their respective bands and are both legends!
The funny thing is he's divorced now. What an unnecessary thing to say. Both Stevie and Christine never had children and no all the women need to be mother's in order to feel complete.
@@giuliana1644 Lindsey and his wife called off their divorce. Said they’re trying to work it out. As for Stevie, I personally think she’s toxic. She’s narcissistic and has treated Lindsey terribly. He deserves better ~
Stevie did him SO DIRTY and the other members were absolute disloyal cowards. Stevie always said the band would go on and loyalty should be with the band.
fm isn't the same without lindsey buckingham. takes 2 guitarists to replace him. in a podcast with conan o'brien lindsey says that he took command of the band during their FIRST practice since none of the original fm members wouldn't.
Stevie’s ego ended up destroying the band. That last tour was pathetic. I love both artists but LB was clearly the most powerful element in the FM compound. Listen to Behind the Mask. Just terrible. When you listen to LB solo albums, it’s clear he crafted the “sound” of FM via his songwriting, arrangements, and production.
Hoping Lindsey and Stevie come together in their grief over Christine's death. She said in an interview that she hadn't talked to Stevie since she basically kicked LB out of the band, and said that if FM were to have another tour, that she'd like Lindsey to be a part of it.
That’s false. Learn how to comprehend a basic interview. They toured in 2018-2019 after Lindsey was out of the band. So, to say “she hadn’t talked to Stevie since she kicked LB out of the band is non-factual and nowhere close to what Christine said in her interview over this past summer. I know English may be difficult for some people to comprehend but perhaps you’ve always had trouble with rudimentary English. Ffs
So many people backing up stevie and I understand she's a huge part of the band but let's not forget how she got where she is in the first place. Without Lindsey having a say in stevie's inclusion who knows what shed be up to.
I have a feeling she would be a successful solo artist . She never needed Lindsey. Some vocalists just have that presence on stage that fans connect to. Stevie always had that quality.
Lindsey's current tour and feedback for his recent album is very good, I love the new material too, as a fan. Wounds always seem to come to the surface, when he is playing with FM (On both sides). I hope he carries on with being a solo artist, for his health's sake.
Why do I feel like it has a lot to do with the death of Tom Petty and Stevie's grief over it, and her concern about Mike Campbell's well being? Am I the only one intuiting this?
No, because that's exactly what motivated her. She even talked about it in the CBS interview in April. That's what is important to her now: that she and Mike take every day and make it the best day they can.
Stevie did not kick him out of the band. If the other three had wanted him, they could have told her that he is not leaving, do what you want. I also think it is ridiculous and tacky for Buckingham to state that he thinks Stevie could be jealous of his marital status and children. Marriage and children are something she did not want, and has never expressed regrets over that. She seems quite happy with her life choices.
no matter what you guys were magic. or lighting in a bottle my uncle was and still is a huge fan, so my mom became a fan also who more less turned me on to the band and i lost her last year she was only 56 but Im 35 now and some of my favorite memories were riding threw the APP park way as a kid and her playing there type in the car i did not know it then but it was some of the best days of my life im now a singer song Wrighter and I'm using my wife's RUclips but god bless and KEEP ROCKING MAN YOUR VOICE IS ONE OF A KIND
I wasn't going to pass judgement and Lindsey comes across as reasonable, but to imply Stevie is jealous of his marriage and children is incredibly vain of him. Particularly when she's repeatedly stated they've moved on in that regard, having children wasn't a personal goal and her 'great big love' was actually Joe Walsh. I can understand her animosity towards him if he continues to say things like this when they're not true, aside from their difficult working relationship.
This interview says everything. He clearly has never gotten over Stevie Nicks. He has the emotional maturity of an 18 year old. LB knows his wife married him because of his money. It is tough to find, but you can find it online - Lindsey's wife dumped her 2nd husband at age 25 for Lindsey, then got pregnant in 1997 when the band was getting back together and Lindsey and Stevie were reconciling romantically. His wife is the standard gold digger. No respect for the Buckinghams. They deserve each other.
@@70sgirl8 you kinda sound like a man-hater! Didn’t she sleep with the drummer? Lol wow Stevie was a prize, she never would have even been in that band if it wasn’t for him in the first place!
In my opinion, there were three lead singers, and Lindsey was at the forefront. He plays a mean guitar and can sing. Stevie can sing and play a tambourine. Hello! Btw, Fleetwood Mac cancelled their tour because two guitarists couldn't do what Lindsey did, and the fans wanted to see him.
Congratulations to Stevie Nicks being the first female artist inducted in with an iconic band and now for her iconic solo career. FM needs Stevie more.. he's amazing but even he knows ... comes off as clueless about the situation. He's too smart to play that way... fans not buying it and he got his $$$ ..stay on your solo your and do exactly what you love.
If people think she doesn't have a jealous bone in her body then they must think she's not a human. I feel sorry for her. I know she doesn't need pity but I'm sure she would take back some things if she could.
There’s a reason this union doesn’t work anymore Lindsey: it’s well past the point of its expiration date!!! The reunion tour in 1997 was fine. It had the feel good vibes, and it should have ended there.
No matter what occurred between these two they made awesome music and it’s still going strong.

Takes two people to try to replace him
If it was a musical decision to kick Lindsey out. Then that was a dumb move. Have you seen this man play. WOW! Just outstanding
They said it had to do with scheduling.
@@rt-lx5lq No, it wasn't. Lindsey and Stevie just cannot get along. She doesn't want to deal with it anymore, and the band had to choose. They chose Stevie.
Graeme Knowles Big mistake. BIG! 😩
He still plays awesome guitar, just not with FM.
I doubt it. I think she wanted Mike Campbell along for a tom petty tribute and she manipulated the whole scenario. A very mean spirited action.
In staring at the wonder that is Lindsey Buckingam's hair, I'm more and more curious what it looks like from the back.

And from the side. Is it like a wave? Dunno but thanks for the laugh 😂

lmaooo i was thinking about it too
same as the front.
Lindsay was and is a musical genius.... he is as much needed as the rest of them!
But they don’t need new songs
They want to sell tickets for nostalgia for the hits he already made
Given they've bombed everytime he hasn't been part of the band post-Green, they clearly need him more.
I hope, they need him as much as CV. But now with her being dead, it's over.
It's a damned shame. He is the best guitarist the band ever had! His voice was also undeniable unreplaceable!
True talent musically and vocally, natural artist shame they not made like that anymore!
He's one of the best guitarists on teh planet. One of many.
Peter Green was the best they had
His songwriting was pretty good too.
He's a great guitarist but I wouldn't say his voice is irreplaceable. That's stretching the truth a little bit
How can it be Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey? Even more than with other bands, each member of FM is essential to the sound and feel of the music. They could hire 20 guitarists and it wouldn't replace him.
It wouldn't be. He is essential.
Stevie and Lindsey are 2 of the most talented duo songwriters of all time.
this guy is one of the best guitarists i have ever heard and i was a rock&roll tour driver for 25 yrs . trust me this guy can play .
Oh he sure can..no joke smoke.. 😂
Joe Santarini is the King....
@@streetsmartintelligent Edward is the King of guitarists ask Joe. I'm now 52 and have grown up with Fleetwood Mac! I'm heartbroken over this 💔 I hope the band can make peace and preserve their legacy!
I hope if they do make peace that it is an honest peace. Otherwise the fans will be able to sense the strain between these performers.
@@rt-lx5lq There is no "honest" peace when comes to love gone bad between two people.
Stevie has become an ugly, old and heartless woman. In Stevie's own words from "Gold Dust Woman"....."Heartless challenge. Pick your path and I'll prey."

Rumors is probably one of the best 10 albums ever, in my opinion at least.
I Will never can break the chain with this man ❤
He sounds logical and wise here. We can all hope that wisdom and compassion will prevail.
The best performance ever was the live version of Silver Springs in 96 I think. Gave me chills.
Agreed!
It was 97 . It was beautiful
Think it was 1997 and it was on tv. The Dance I think it was called
Just watched it this morning with my wife, both of us with previous marriages-some of those looks and glances are just gut wrenching to watch. Kind of surreal to see that on a stage knowing their past. I’m glad to see we’re not the only ones to pick up on the chilling visuals under that circumstance.
@@rinaticson390 I was close lol. Thx. My fav performance of my fav song!
He seems like a great guy.
@@isabella-a-a-a
He is very well spoken and seems genuine.
He sounds a little bit bitter still as well. Maybe they both are. Which just sounds like there is love deep still there.
Wouldn't you be if you'd given what he did for the band - way more than the others because he also arranged and produced their albums - and then they pulled this? He's been incredibly diplomatic - way more than any of them deserve. I certainly wouldn't have been.
Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey is like Mike Love’s version of The Beach Boys without the creative genius of Brian Wilson.
I made this same comment above before seeing yours
I hesitate to put them in the same arena talent wise, but it is a similar situation.
Lindsey IS spectacularly talented so that’s not a knock on him, it’s just that Brian is the best so everyone else is technically below him
Very well put
Their last tours should of consisted of Mick, John, Christine , Stevie and Lindsey. The 5 of them together were phenomenal and had a magic noone else could replace. It's a pity they could not have worked through their differences but it was probably too difficult for them all when there was still hostility between Stevie and Lindsey. I'm just sad we'll never get to see them all perform again with Christine 😢 God rest her beautiful soul ➕💜➕
😥
This was entirely about how Stevie felt towards Lindsey, not the other way around. I like Christine but she could and should have stood up for him. Instead, she went along with it. All 4 were complicit.
He's portraying himself as a really reasonable guy here, and he says some wise things. But his implication that Stevie Nicks is maybe jealous of his life somehow is kind of an egotistical low-blow more in line of what I've heard about his actual personality.
Nailed It.
Both of can be true.
What about the interview I saw of Stevie Nicks speaking about how she wasted 8 solid years on drugs & regrets it, speaking word for word about how she could have made more FM albums or solo albums or had a child.
She also said (like all old ladies) that a good man is impossible to find in older age lol
Maybe he is reasonable & maybe he has picked up on the truth, she just might be bitter about his life choices vs her's (?)
Eyota Crowfeather, I guess she forgot about that time that she could’ve had a child, but aborted it. 🤷🏼♀️
Excellent comparison!!
fleetwood mac was build on heartbreak and conflict. stevie has been through a lot more than feeling a certain way about something that happened half a century ago. she isn’t that petty. lindsay has his own demons he needs to bring up in these interviews instead of playing the victim. there are always three sides to every story

Godspeed.

If it hadn't been for Lindsey, she would never have even been in FM!

I think to Lindsey it is some kind of failure, but to Stevie, Fleetwood Mac is her baby, her life. Stevie also had an abortion with Don Henley's baby. She named her song Sara after it. Terry Mingle Perfectly stated.

Lindsey will always have a special spot in his heart for Stevie. That's what makes it sad.
Tremendous talent. The past is gone. He s got a good life now.

Fleetwood Mac is just not the same anymore
Fleetwood Mac has had so many different lineups, guitarists singer / songwriters over the years. Please don't forget the Peter Green, Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer years and their blues period. Then there was Bob Welch. This group was established and playing great music before Stevie and Lindsey showed up. They may be part of their best lineup but that is a matter of taste as much as anything.
Even Mike Campbell played with FM.
Thanks for all the great music, irrespective of your personal issues which are yours alone, you still are one of the best bands of all time.

Lindsey is the star 🤗
Stevie’s ego ended up destroying the band. That last tour was pathetic. I love both artists but LB was clearly the most powerful element in the FM compound. Listen to Behind the Mask. Just terrible. When you listen to LB solo albums, it’s clear he crafted the “sound” of FM via his songwriting, arrangements, and production.
He’s so cool
Fleet wood mac is not without you
Hoping Lindsey and Stevie come together in their grief over Christine's death.

@sun 123
Simply think she would have succeeded regardless.
@maria Fernanda Same can be said for Stevie working to support them both. Without her working to pay the bills who knows what Lindsey would be up to.
@sun 123 Where would Lindsey be if Stevie wasn't working to support them both and pay their bills? There is no argument to win here.
she doesnt owe him anything
Lindsey's current tour and feedback for his recent album is very good, I love the new material too, as a fan. Wounds always seem to come to the surface, when he is playing with FM (On both sides). I hope he carries on with being a solo artist, for his health's sake.
I’m not so sure reminding her that he has a spouse and kids, and she doesn’t, is going to get them any closer to reconciliation.
Especially since his wife filed for divorce in 2021. He knows exactly what he's saying. The dig about kids was unnecessary
Well Stevie aborted her babies so she could have had children
She is a lost soul...struggling all through the years. Very sad for her
Why do I feel like it has a lot to do with the death of Tom Petty and Stevie's grief over it, and her concern about Mike Campbell's well being? Am I the only one intuiting this?
Yes
No, because that's exactly what motivated her. She even talked about it in the CBS interview in April. That's what is important to her now: that she and Mike take every day and make it the best day they can.
Dawn Robin Human beings are not things that can be heartlessly discarded.
I won’t see Fleetwood without Lindsey. Sorry.

I believed she was jealous and very upsetting that he found someone and married
Glad to find this point of view in the replies. I’m sensing manipulative tendencies from him.
@@70sgirl8 you kinda sound like a man-hater! Didn’t she sleep with the drummer? Lol wow Stevie was a prize, she never would have even been in that band if it wasn’t for him in the first place!
Oh she was insanely jealous.
Fletwood Mac you are wrong Lindsey Buckinham is part of the legacy and band
This is a beautiful conversation, , , , the ups and downs of life can only be experienced by those who stick together.
Passion isn't always a good thing
I completely agree!
Clearly you could “feel” it in their music... and that’s what makes Fleetwood Mac so special
Thats too bad...
He is legendary 🙌 👏 ❤
