Now this is cool. You should do some in depth comparisons of certain other game's to. From all generations. Like Genesis vs Snes and PlayStation vs N64. I never get tired of that kind of stuff.
I didn't had a Gamecube when this came out so I used to play this at a friend who had it, I was so bummed it wasn't on PS2 at the time, well fast foward to today and this game is practically Doom that its being ported to almost everything capable of playing this.
It is not all hardware limitations, off course there was that, but also limitation on the time to port it. After the low sales on the GC, Capcom pressure was on to take advantage of the end of the year, but it skipped the holiday season and was released january 2005 for the PS2. The project wasn’t developed side by side, but it only started after the GC release.
PC versions was just fine for me on mouse and keyboard, the only issue I had was the knife being kinda awkard to use with a mouse but other than that I dont see how the gamecube version is better.
Wii got a better graphics and some additional things. While GameCube got a good graphics without any other content. Ps2 got bad graphics while having extremely good details. And extra content
Thats you decision. I play both wii and PS2. Play PS2 if u can bear the low resolution(both in gameplay and cutscence) specially the controls are chunky. But this is best edition with full details. Even the HD version is inspired by this. But I kinda prefer wii version. Its way better in controls. It has gyroscope aim. It has quick knife, auto knife and alot.and as far as I know, this has real-time cutscence(instead of pre-rendered) plus the graphics are really better

love this review, keep it up mate
Despite the cons RE4 PS2 port was responsible for making this game popular and then becoming the best game of all time
Nope, re4 gc was already popular in all the world
@@luisangelcastillo289 Nope, in my country gamecube isn't popular someone barely had it
3:36 they also went to pre-rendered cutscenes while they are in real-time on the GameCube & Wii. PS2 couldn’t handle them.
Good video !

The VR version is kick ass. Definitely worth a play if you can play it at some point.
Thank you
