the Q50 7 speed may be old but it transforms into a monster in manual mode. I own a 3.7 and the difference between shifts is abysmal in auto vs manual. they just did manual mode on the 50 roll, should've done a dig in manual. great races tho!
The Q50 driver in the Charger shifted the gears too early in the sport mode rolling race... so it gives you illusion that the Q50RS is much much faster in manual shift mode when in fact it's not quite so. It doesn't look like the driver in the Charger knows the car inside out.. If both drivers raced equally skillfully and talentfully then the difference in that race would've been much larger....
@@azahelcovarrubias2172 NA 3.7 will easily last beyond 200k. 3.0TT doesn't fair as much and will require much more money. It's way more complex and it's not uncommon for turbo to go at around 100k.

@@Al-qn3sj Okay don't ask me why I did this but looking through stock dyno, tuned dyno, and claimed gains from a tune with both it looks like a tuned Q would have around 420 whp and about 470 wheel tq. A tuned 392 would have 430-435 whp and 455 wheel tq. That's being a bit generous to the scat pack since I had to guess on the wheel numbers and used 10% drive train loss, so those numbers may be off by a few hp and tq. I feel sure the Q would win if both were tuned since it has more tq, isn't down all that much on hp, is AWD, and weighs close to 400 lbs less. I doubt it would walk the Scat though because the Scat is still up on hp and has a much better transmission.
@@GC-nd1lp Curious how you come to the conclusion that a tuned 392 would have 430-435hp at the wheels when its 485 stock at the crank. A simple 93 octane tune will add 30 hp and 30tq. So at minimum you are looking at 515hp and 505 lbft at the crank. A rwd vehicle has less drivetrain loss then a awd car. Not sure how you can add 100lbft of torque to the Q just with a tune. For the record I own a Q50S. The 392 Scat is in a different bracket then the Q.
@@Al-qn3sj Because I watched dyno videos and saw dyno sheets putting the 392 at around 410 whp stock. A tune will add 30ish horsepower at the crank, but you have to account for the drivetrain loss. Obviously AWD will have more parasitic loss but RWD is still around 15% typically, so if you take 15% off of that 30 that you gained at the crank, that will be 25 and there's your 435 whp. I took the numbers for the Q directly from AMS Performance. Their stock Red Sport went from 350 ft lbs to around 470. I don't get why you're surprised that a 3L TT v6 can make +100 ft lbs with a tune when an EcoBoost Mustang can make +75 ft lbs with just cooling mods, an intake, and a tune.
@@GC-nd1lp All dynos are different so you can only compare dyno numbers if both cars were measured on the same dyno. Qurstion for you, are the AMS numbers tune only or mods with a tune? If you include mods it changes everything. Bottom line the 85 hp and 75lbft stock is too much to make up with just a tune. Only way for big gains are mods. But then you have to look at Scat pack mods too.
It would be nice if times were put down. I know humidity, temperature and altitude make a big difference. I'm from Southern Ontario and I'm curious to know what times other q50 red sports are getting here.

Very well done for the Q60.
Yall talking bout tires but it's the driver who's laying down those tires like a champ
Bro the q50 did great 👍 I have a q50s I also had a charger I do miss the charger but the q is more easy to maneuver
It's no slouch! Our other car is a Nissan Maxima 2010...so, we love Infiniti
Both such beautiful cars fk man 🤣🤣🤣 hell yea!!!! You guys got another sub right here!!!! 👊🏼🙌🏼👏🏼🤘🏼
Love the channel, I would like to see the new ten speed mustang vs scatpack, want to see the camaro on here and the ct5 v vs something
Hi Sam! Lovely race! I love seeing all different modes. Sam do you think the tuned GLI you featured on this channel can keep up with Q50? Similar power and it weighs less. If u can try it
Maybe :)
Damn this turned out even better than I thought those drone shots offer unique angles on our cars we don't often get to see. Que fiddy looking, sounding lovely.
🎉🔥🔥🔥
man your car sounded great. what exhaust setup?
Do you ever take off the traction control in the Q50 or Q60 when you race them?
Good launch w the brake boost !
Despite the Titanic weight the Charger is a boss
I have a 2019 scat pack 392. Nice to see my car spanking other cars. The one to compare all others to
Both are crazy cars🔥
Awesome Race!
LOL you can hear the 392 from inside the Infiniti the entire race :)
My ears hurt all the way back home afterwards. It sounded so good.
Reminded me of the time when I was much younger and had what I thought was a nice aftermarket sound system. I had the windows down and the music cranked, until......a van pulled along side me that had an insanely better sound system and drowned my music out entirely. 🤦♂️
@@jimwallace4164
It did sound good for sure, but not sure I would want to hear it in certain circumstances, on long road trips, etc. I think it would get tiring at times.
@@wbwayne8887 you dnt really hear it in eco mode and cruising
@@vincentp4951
Good to know.
Stop sleeping on the Q50s they're fast. I love my Q50.
Expected........add a JB1 or JB4 and the Q50 is putting down 400 to the wheels. My stock 2016 RS runs a 12.3 with a JB4 running map 2. My son's AMS tuned ($1600) 2016 Q50 Sport runs 11.6.
Like he said. Those Dodges are incredible. SRT 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Eventhough I expected the Scat to win, I think the 7 speed in the Q50 is a little dated when compared to the newer, faster shifting 8 speed in the Charger.
392 vs Camaro SS should be next or the mustang 5.0!!!! Have a SS my self want to see the outcome 😆
SS wins
Even tho there are hundreds of runs on RUclips, it still would be interesting
Mustang beats both
@@justfunstuff5418 na the 392 is faster off the line and can get the 5.0 on the 1/4mile but past that the 5.0 has a better top end in speed and would win the 1/2mile
@@DavidMorales008 na ive seen 392 being underestimated to much. We just gotta really wait for him to do a video shoot of the 3 pony cars.
Great cars, great runs
Great videos
Yo Sam…you should do the BMW 330i vs the regular Infiniti Q50 3.0T (not the red sport)
Should be an interesting race. Great job on all the races though man, keep doing your thing.
You mean the 2.0T q50? The 3.0T should be against the 335, 340 or M340i
@@marsallen4298 not really the bmw 330i can easily run the regular 300 hp q50 3.0t bmw underrated their hp
That went about how I expected; the Charger is a beast in a straight line, no doubt about it. If this were an autocross, I'd expect the Q50 to be the better of the two cars. As it stands tho, I'd choose the Charger over the Q50 if I were going to buy either or.
Yee right even though the scat is way bigger as far as back seat comfort ...hell if u add new turbo down pipes and a tune it'll even beat a hellcat....but just with a tune and pipes will beat a scat any day
@@ooo2757 boy hn
Those scars are so heavy they belong in the ocean watch when it turns corners the whole earth turns too 🤣🤣
Sam thank you for anther great video, 👍👏
You’re welcome ☺️
Awesome video can we get a ford explorer st ? Would love to see some SUV love. Anyways love the channel brother
I'd like to see a Tune vs Tune race with these cars and see the difference.
Same asf
Lol salty the scatty got the dub?
Lol.. Why because Infiniti is Twin Turboed.. Lol
Lol US scat owners & daytona owners been told yall stock vs stock yall ain’t beating us 😂😂😂😂 the dude on the left knows how to race these cars and he controlled that boat how it should be controlled 😂😂😂💯💯💯💯💯 now for your suggestions yes lets slap a turbo on our scats like yall and see how fast yall wanna get gapped 😎
Q50 owners swear they can walk hellcats but get dragged by scatpacks 😆
I tested a red sport before buying my scat pack. The choice was pretty easy. First thing I bought was 305's for the rear tire.
You should get some drone shots, great videos btw
The Q50 Is Insane🔥
There is a lot of engine specs differences and it was a great race, very nice Charger,,but that 3.0 liter from that Infinity is quick, comparing it to a 6.4 liter and almost 90 horsepower difference, the Infinity did a great job,,nice job from the Charger even tho it was rainy.
the Q50 7 speed may be old but it transforms into a monster in manual mode.
Can you do a 392 vs the 10 speed ss 1le? And the winner can face off against a 5.0? Just liked and subbed love the content!
I am curious was traction control TURNED OFF on Infinity before race ????
Wow should be an epic race dude you’re the best
To tell you the truth, I expected the Infiniti to win at least one in the wet...
Me too, I really hoped to take at least one of them. The 392 Charger is plenty quick at the top.
The problem is without a tune the stock twin turbos run out of gas early on in the rpms
@@KamikazeSOF2 isn't that the truth, I have the 3.7 Q. LOVE IT but knowing I can't hit 500whp without FI makes me a sad 😞
@@azahelcovarrubias2172 NA 3.7 will easily last beyond 200k. 3.0TT doesn't fair as much and will require much more money. It's way more complex and it's not uncommon for turbo to go at around 100k.
@@xFlared mine is lasting A-OK don’t know where you’re getting that mate.
Yo good runs
Great video but can you do the q50 red sport vs the m340i please that would be a great race
Q50 vs Stinger please 🙏
Q50s will win over the Kia Stinger GT2
Wtf is a stinger??
@@youngbanger1977 I think so too
Damn track soaking wet , more weight , rwd and still gaped a awd car. Very impressive with the 392 charger hate to see it on a dry track.
how did u guys do the light show
I have a 2017 Ford Fusion Sport 2.7 Twin Turbo V6 AWD.......and when i race scat packs i have pretty much same exact results as Q50S.....as it has 75 more hp than my sport but I have 50 more ft lbs of tourqe and a tad bit lighter.....
Yep, just as expected. 🙂 those Chargers are quick for their size and weight.
This race was a really good one!! I love both these cars! I feel if the Q had a tune it would destroy the scat
And what if the Scat was tuned too?
It’s the torque that helps at the end
The 392 motor and transmission are in incredible
The transmission makes the biggest difference. My 496 big block smashes the output of the 392, but 8 gears vs my 4 gears. I get what you are saying though 💯
Redsport vs Audi S4
Who is faster to the junkyard.
S4 would win
RS would win lol.
Its Not The Car, Its The Driver. Always remember that 🔥🔥🔥
Yes, the driver is always the wild card. The driver(s) present the most variables when in similar conditions as evidenced by my botched roll race and Sam's follow up salvation roll race!
Wonder if the 3.7 would’ve brought different results
Some dude: Chargers/challengers are slow boats
Same some dude: I want to see *insert any modern car here” vs the charger/challenger
Me: so the charger/challenger is your standard for how fast any modern car is huh?
🤣 they love to hate
I have a Q50 RS. I need this and it's going to be epic.
Sorry the RS will not win
That take off was good asab
can you do an m340i vs 392? or m340i vs redsport? thanks
Went as expected. What would be more interesting though would be a Q50S 3.7 vs a Charger 5.7 Hemi
5.7’s are slow. Period. 5.7 is nothing more than an entry level V8 with these heavy cars.
Would've been a much better choice
@@lotus956 Hence why it would probably be a good race with the 3.7 Q50. Plus they are also roughly in the same price range so it only makes sense.
the g37 will beat a 5.7
with ease tbh
I wonder what kind of tires are on the Charger? Even in the damp, it still managed to hook up.
They're tires from GTA 5, Atomic brand 👀
Sure arent stock
Too me it sounded like he feathered the throttle off the line thats the only way they hook
Scat hook well maybe not in the rain with stock tires but do hook so I imagine he was feathering it and had some decent tires for the stock rim that are rated for dry wet use. I run the continental extreme sport DW for my hellcat and they do pretty well in 500hp mode when wet but not 700 plus shit it barely hooks when it’s dry but it does hook. stock perrelli suck in every mode and condition shit I’m surprised they haven’t been sued. Ie the stock ones that Come with the car if you didn’t know.
@@joshreynolds729 i put a 305 nitto nt555 g2 summer tire on my scat and that shit is sometimey as hell when it comes to hooking
I don’t know how long they waited in between races. But the stock heat exchanger on those Infinitis are really small so unless you have an upgraded one or let it really cool down In between races by the third pull that Infiniti was heat soaked for sure
They should have done a dig on sport plus as the first race!!
I bet traction control was bogging down the charger a bit too from the wet roads. Might have gotten another half a car to a car on each race if it was dry. Still good races tho. And yes manual mode in my 15 R/T is slower than auto mode too.
