Welcome everyone, I've got a juicy hip opening yoga class for you today! This is a 30 minute yoga flow meant to stretch out your inner and outer thights, glutes, psoas, quads and hamstrings. We will seriously target all areas of the hips to improve flexibility and mobility.
This is a slow flow stretch with almost no emphasis on strength. Some of the poses are quite deep stretches so this might be best for intermediate yoga students. However, if you are a beginner you can certainly give this one a try, you might just need to modify a few poses. No props are needed for this class. Enjoy the stretch!

I like these slow felixibility classes too! It's a lot of hips, though, for my taste. I would like to request more abs and upper body classes (you have some great ones already) if not, that's totally fine. Thanks to you I have the nicest legs of anyone in my family 😃
I just wanted to say to you Kassandra, that every time I get to your yoga practices and it says "Intermediate" my first thought is.. "maybe not for me", but all of them have become accomplishable and enjoyable for me and the best part is - I've learned pretty much everything in yoga from you over the past year. After close to 20 years of on and off practicing, finally someone said, your shin doesn't have to be parallel to the mat :) Thank you for this Kassandra ! I am reading a book Your Body,Your Yoga and see how many things we were told by several instructors were very rigid and we ended with injury. I love the way you teach, your cues are "the" best. Please keep doing what have you been doing. Thank you
Instructors (myself included) mean well when we give alignment cues but it's very hard for instructions to apply to every single body! I love that book :)

I was going to write the same comment.. After 10 years of practising this is the first time I heard your shin does not have to be parallel to the mat!!! Mine will be never be for sure :)
I came here to write the same thing! it has been so frustrating to never have the shin parallel to the edge of the mat and finally someone said it doesn't have to be... while doing it perfectly, though...

I love how gentle you are with your instructions. I don’t feel pressured to actually get the pose the first time. Because of this I attempted the pigeon pose, and held a modified version. That’s my win for today and reminded me to try things in life even if they look hard or even if I failed in the past! Namaste 🙏🏾
