    Hey yogis, hope you're ready to increase your lower body flexibility! This is a 15 minute slow flow deep stretch class that will open up your hips. This is great for the legs in general, we'll explore poses that stretch out the glutes, thighs, quads and hamstrings. No props are required!
    This is suitable for all levels but some of the poses might need to be modified if you're just starting out. The key to increasing flexibility is to be very consistent. A little bit of yoga everyday is better than a long practice every once in while!

      Hi Kassandra, i a am 66yrs old man who trained in martial arts before I went to live and work in India for 20yrs and i studied yoga there I find they blend well. I have recently started Karate and following your hip opening routine has helped me greatly, I achieved a 3rd dan in TKD but that was 20yrs ago. My daily yoga has helped my karate greatly thanks, sister!

      Love your videos. This hip opener was great. I like how you demonstrate very well with your skill and ability, and how you do not begin by speaking for 7-8 minutes on what we will do or about a move or a philosophy. Once we have a feel of the theory, we just want to get going before getting on with our day.
      I love animals, but I am also glad that you do not waste time chasing after a pet or stop to cuddle and pet them for a couple of minutes while we wait.

      Thank you so much for sharing this! My hips are always tight despite a lot of stretching. Normally I work at a desk all day so it makes everything tighter and sore but working at home during covid sitting at home all day has been stressful and these short sessions make it easier for me to get up and do yoga. I appreciate your videos and intend to try more :)

    I got dropped from 7 feet ontop my rump in 2018, I herniated two discs and bruised several others. Because of the pain I developed an anterior pelvic tilt to alleviate the pain. Because of this I completely threw everything else out of whack. This is the first yoga session that I have come across that has done anything for this chronic pain.

    I've been struggling to be consistent at yoga practice for a long time. I struggle with lower back / hips inflammation kinda permanently, low level of pain and inflammation but CONSTANTLY THERE. I've been told by a few specialists that the key for me is to strengthen my core and lower back and increase my hip mobility. No joke I have already done this same sequence about 15 times over the course of 3 months. I never struggle any less, i'm not even sure i'm a lot more flexible, but definitely less shaky, so it's going somewhere! The struggle with discipline is real, even if health and wellbeing is on the line, still massive difficulty to get this stuff done everyday. Thanks for this content K, very much appreciated.

    This is one of my favorite hip-focused classes that you teach. Yesterday, I was working on a creative project all day in the garage and I kept finding myself trying to stretch out my glutes and hip flexors because they were tight and cramping.     This is a great yoga practice to quickly release the tension that gathers in the hips during long hours of sitting. I practiced immediately after coming home from my office job and it felt amazing. Not too much strength or vinyasa, but not yin-style either, just a perfect in between.

    Great class! I do feel better and well stretched in my lower body. I like the 15 minute class, a good amount of time for a quick stretch even more so than the 10 minute classes which i also like but they sometimes feel too short. Would like to see more 15 minute classes if you are considering doing more shorter classes. And, i love the chant of OM at the end! It helps to ground, calm, centre, connect with Self/Source and solidify the practice. Thank you Kassandra for all the classes you have done, do and continue to do!     Wow! My problem area is my inner hips -- the tendons joining them to my pelvis are always tight and constantly need to be popped to release the pain. I've been searching for a hip opening yoga video -- and you've been the only Yogi RUclips I've used every day for the past month. Don't know how I didn't see this until today but I am so grateful.     Thank you Kassandra for this practice. As a cyclist, I’ve had lots issues with tight hips and I’ve done everything from seeing chiropractors, PT’s, and massage therapists.
    After doing this 15 minute practice at least a 3-4 times a week in the mornings, I’ve finally found something that helps alleviate the pain and tightness in my hip 🙏
    I’m grateful for the work you do and for sharing with others.

    Thank you :) This is the first time where I have been able to put my heels on the floor on downward facing dog :) It didn't happen the first one, but could feel and see it loosening off throughout the video :) It's the little things!
