I'm glad you did this video because I was facing the same scenario, what's going on here continuously getting wind knots, & I was thinking about 6lb test, but I never considered tying 10 to 12lb leader to it!🎣

i put x9 15 on my medium lite spinning set up last spring and liked it so much i just put the x9 6 on my UL , both bright yellow for my old eyes ;)
I'm not gonna lie definitely anxious about using 6lb line but I'll give it a try. I do see your point though because braided line is incredibly strong I use 15lb on my spinning setups and that stuff will not break! As an added benefit thinner line will increase casting distance 😁👍
Jordan i have always used Zebco omniflex 12 pounds line and i never had 1 issue with my line on my spinning reel , perhaps i shouldtry out berkley x9 12 pound depending on the price

What size flouro leader do you use with your 6lb braid?
I like 8lb most of time.. but going up to 10-12 is good too
@@jordanlee1180i caught a big pike on 10 pound fluorocabon and it broke my line and ran away. what line should i use for pike??
