Why I NEVER Use My Curling Iron Anymore (and maybe you shouldn't either...)

  • I'm excited to talk and show you a tutorial of how I curl my hair lately! Curling your hair with a straightener has been the thing to do for a while now and something I have done on myself and on clients for a long time but I found a 2 in 1 tool that will help you get long lasting curls even if your hair is fine, straight and flat. What a win!
    The Tymo airflow 2 in 1 straightener and curler is a unique iron that not only allows you to straighten your hair but also allows you to get beautiful long lasting waves and curls. This is Glam Girl Gabi approved! I LOVE this iron.

      Do you use a heat protectant spray with it and/or a spray on hair conditioner ?
      I used it for the 1st time, thanks to your video, admiring your curls but put both a heat protectant and spray on leave in conditioner and then realized on page 03, under the diagram, at the bottom of the page, it says wash and dry hair (do not use any spray, styling agent). I don't want to ruin the TYMO Airflow. What can you tell me?

    Woah! I ordered from Amazon at 10:30 pm and it was waiting on my doorstep at 7:00 am when I woke up!
    And WOW! This thing actually works! My hair is very fine. It really, truly holds a curl like nothing... absolutely nothing else has done before! Revolutionary! Thank you! ❤❤❤ I'm immediately giving away the plethora of other styling tools I've collected. This sweet baby, Shu Uemura Tsuki Shape, some velcro curlers, and a hair dryer are all I need!

      @@carriecook5489 I honestly don‘t know. The waves ( I don not get curls) look a bit more modern than with my curling wand. But they do not last ( longer). I think with the curling wand they last longer, so for me the money was not worth it. If ithe TYMO would be equal to the wand and I could make really sure that it is healtier for the hair than the usually curling wand, than ok but so.. no

It doesn't glide through my hair at all, in fact, it painfully drags. And there's no way I would ever get these curls. (And my hair is naturally curly.) I’m shocked!! I’m watching this video after using mine for the first time and I LOVED it. It’s solving my hair question finally, one I’ve had since middle school. I have fine, pretty curly hair. I let it air dry and the next day went through with the tool. It’s amazing. It took no time at all and my hair feels really good. Silky I guess? Just so soft. Try again I think! I love this thing. I’m looking at the video to see other ways I can use it but I just used it like a regular curler. I clamped at the root and twirled it away from my face a full rotation then glided it slowly (but not that slowly! Just with intention) through the end. Once I did my whole head I turned in over and shook it out, scrunching with a little hair serum on my hands so I wouldn’t frizz it up.

    I purchased this tool from Amazon and I paid less than $70 for it, don't remember if it was on sale. Anyway, I always wanted to curl my hair with a flat iron and never could. This one was so easy to use, I can curl my hair in minutes, it helps that the hair glides through and that it has a clamp. All you do is put the hair in, twist and slide it out. I hold mine with the cord down not up the way you do, I think that's just preference, but I find it easier. Great amazing tool if you like curling your hair, not necessarily the best for flat ironing though.

    This tool is not working for me. The curls or waves I put in don’t last. After 15 minutes or so, they start to get all fluffy. Within an hour I’m a fuzz ball. I’ve used it with and without the fan with the same results. I have very similar hair to you Gabi, in terms of length and type as it is wavy. Any suggestions? My regular curling iron doesn’t do this, curls/waves don’t fluff up on me.

I have full thick straight hair and I got this but do not like the size of curl, hopefully soon they will offer a bigger barrel so I dont feel like Shirley Temple and the curls wouldn't relax until I washed. Hey everyone! This is a sponsored video and there is a disclaimer in the description box. In order to answer your question, the way that creators make money is with the ads that play before the content (adsense) and by making sponsored videos. I am a makeup and hair artist as well so I work in events and also on set so for me, I WILL ONLY make a sponsored video if I have tested the products for several weeks, used it on several people and I truly like the product and find it is unique and helpful. I have declined dozens of companies because I just don't think the product is good and because I have another form of full time income, it is not ride or die for me. You can always trust me because being an honest creator is extremely important to me. I love my audience and will always put your needs first.

    I got the blunt bob cut you suggest for fine, super staright, silky hair. I did the beachy waves and everything you suggested. My hair looks great in the bathroom but I live in Florida where the heat and humidity is OPPRESSIVE so as soon as I walk outside, all the waves drop out. Help!

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  2 года назад +17

      Oh gosh....I TOTALLY get this because my hair is the EXACT SAME WAY in humidity and it sucks so badly. Whenever I go on a beach vacation, I look so pretty in the room and one minute outside of air conditioning, I looked like a drowned rat. I wish I had some advice for you but it's hard to fight the elements when you have fine hair texture. There is an anti humidity spray by KMS that I use on all of my brides that I think helps but I am not sure how much it helps...actually...that would make a great video wouldn't it? Writing it down... I have to test that by doing my hair, spraying it in and then literally sitting in a steamy shower and seeing what happens....

      @@wendyhillman2175 They will never get it because thick hair is magical. It just never changes no matter what. DO you use hairspray? Sebastian Shaper+ also have anti humidity elements in it....but truthfully, I've tried it all and when that moisture gets in there, it just drops....I just wear my hair in cute half updos or all up when the weather is steamy like that. It is very humid in the AM where I am, too, and my hair soaks it up like a sponge & loses all it's shape & frizzes. If the the humidity is not full-on, e.g. 70-80%, I've had some luck with DIY flax seed gel. It ignored the store-bought stuff.
      Full 100% humidity or rain? Have to cover it up with a hood or scarf, and it's still probably going to warp, no matter what I use.
      At least with the flax gel, I can reshape or smooth it a bit with water. It wouldn't save heat styled curls, though.

Some of the heat protectant sprays that you use on dry hair. before hot tools are too heavy for me (like the CHI iron guard). I prefer to use a product before blowing out my hair rather than before flat ironing or curling.
