YES PLEEAAASSSSE to a clamp curling iron tutorial .. I cannot get to grips with mine at all, especially at the back of my head. I seem to get it all knotted up and cannot get it to curl properly. I desperately need it for my ultra fine limp hair (I used to have lots and lots of fine curly hair, but since I have had kids it has changed utterly!). Thank you xx
Thank you for watching hair besties! I made a video to explain IN DETAIL how to Curl with a Clamp Curling Iron. I bought this shampoo after watching the other video lol because it had been YEARS since I tried any Alterna Products. Will definitely have to pick up some of the styling products to try as well. Can never have enough volume 💁♀️
You are so welcome! I am really happy that you found this to be helpful and that you enjoy the channel. I really value my audience and I love making content for you. Happy Holidays!
I’ve used the mini crimper for several years and like it but I have only ever done one sometimes two crimps right at the root. You went much further down the hair shaft. I need to try it.
Hi Gabi, I’m always concerned about the heat setting on my curling iron. My hair damages easily but is also hard to curl. What temp do you use? Thanks for all the tutorials 😊
Hey! I hear you on that! I have a video coming out soon about an automatic curling iron and I showed the difference between the curls using low heat and high heat. Stay tuned for that video because you may find it helpful. I always use medium heat on my hair. Not the highest heat setting but not the lowest. I typically stay around 300-350 depending on the end result that I want to achieve.
@@GlamGirlGabi thanks! Looking forward to the video because it’s not something people talk about. They talk a lot about tools but not the heat settings.
@@marneyk2250 I’ve hear for fine hair strands that the lowest heat setting should be used. I have a curling wand, and I think the lowest setting is maybe 270 or 290, and that’s what I use. I get quick, great looking curls at that setting. My curls last all day, BUT, that’s only because I have lots of gray now, and it’s dry, wavy and frizzy (and curling it makes it look tons healthier). Back when my hair was straight and really healthy, it wouldn’t hold a curl! I had a to use a heat thermal spray to get my curls to hold. Now I can use a curling wand, iron, or sleep in a few sponge rollers, and I have curls all day. My gray hair also has wayyy more volume, so there are some benefits to aging hair! 🤪
Love these videos Gabi! You are so knowledgeable, not to mention gorgeous! I wish you could give my hair a make over!!! Thanks for educating on hair - learning ALOT!!!
Thank you Gabi, just discovered your channel. I have neglected my hair for so long and have never done anything with it other than washing it. Now that I see your videos I feel like paying more attention to my hair (if I'm not discouraged by myself again)😒If I have some time I might try some of your hairstyles. I hope! Thanks
I love my mini crimper! Not the same brand as yours as I bought it years ago when I found out what crimping can do for volume! I wouldn’t be with out one!
I found your chanel through Penny Smith! Loved this video! I have thick curly hair but have lost volume since my hair grew back after having cancer 6.5 years ago- I’m happy to have hair back but it was three times as thick before😢
Thank you for the information. My hair use to be very thick; however, for the last few years I have been losing my hair which has caused it to be thin. I appreciate you sharing your hair tricks with us. And yes I would appreciate information on how to use a clamp curler because previously when I would use it I had bad results with my hair.
I love your videos. Recently I realized as I am growing out my layers I have a fun spot at the back top of my hair line that shows a long part… it’s so strange. I teased the crap out of the area but the part just kept appearing. Any suggestions?
Hi!! First of all I just started watching you and you are so beautiful!! I also was born with the "fine hair curse" and now that I turned 50 it's worse than ever falling out turning gray etc. I Love all your cuts for fine hair! I'm thankful for somebody that understands the struggle with fine hair. Could you please tell me what color your hair is dyed? I love the color!! Thanks!!
Hi Gabi! I watch your vdos regularly and totally love your honest advice. I m in my mid fifties and my hair use to be gorgeous ( as told by my friends and family 🤩) but now after menopause I have thinning hairline and somewhat balding from the scalp. Since almost thirty years I have side parting but now I get a wide middle parting if I don't style my hair properly. That is so frustrating. Otherwise my hair is still quite good. I colour my hair every three weeks. Plz suggest some remedy for my wide middle parting.thanks a ton dear😘
I love you!!!! OMG my hair has never looked better..I have fine thinning hair and I have been following your tips in February as far as cuts and styling product. Please don't every stop these videos I loved KMS and can't wait to try this Caviar line. Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year to you.
Curling irons are not my friend so I would love to see a video on this. Thank you so much for the product recommendation. I'm looking forward to using them and hopefully will see the benefit with my hair. I love your channel!!!! Happy Holidays!
Thank you Gabi, always love your hair tutorials. I also wanted to let you know I have been practicing one of your holiday looks from your previous video - flat iron waves, and side braids - I am loving this look and has become my favorite! Wearing it this way on Christmas day (with a bow of course). You're the best! Happy Holidays beautiful - looking forward to more of your videos in the new year 😊❣
I just discovered your channel through Penn smith Skincare. Now I’m off to binge watch your videos while procrastinating on wrapping Christmas gifts. 😂
I love all your videos, because i am always learning something new from them 🌲 l have one request, can you suggest products that they are less expensive? Thank you ☃️ Love from Greece 😍
Great video, thank you for the excellent tips! I love volume and always struggle to get it right. I have a crimper and like to backcomb as well (not both at the same time). I know both cause damage, but which method is the least damaging? Crimping at the roots, or backcombing and hairspray? Xx
Gabi, there is something even better than a mini crimper! Get yourself a Voloom Rootie!! It works almost too well; a little does a lot, so do less than you think you want until you are used to it.
Omg listen to this! I was on set last week and one of the models brought it and asked me to use it! I WAS MIND BLOWN! It was AMAZING! I absolutely have to get one and do a video on it ASAP. The square pattern on the plates works like a miracle!
I've been using a crimper at the root of my fine hair. It's a little too much of a crimp and it shows. I've been thinking of getting the voloom for a while now but don't want to spend the money if there's not much of a difference. Does the Voloom look a lot more natural?
So do you prefer Alterna over the Kerotin line? I watched your video with the Kerotin products and bought all of them and using them. I have super fine thin hair with widening part and spots.
No I wouldn't say that I prefer it. I LOVE the Kerotin line and I use it regularly as well. They're both awesome! In fact, I am all out of Keratin shampoo and conditioner right now because I use it so frequently. If your hair is super thin with a widening part, I think you will do great with the Kerotin line because it strengthens hair with protein. Don't use the shampoo daily though because it can lead to protein overload. Only use it 2-3 times a week. Have you ever considered adding minoxidil (Rogaine) to your routine. You can buy it at the pharmacy. It will target hair loss in a more medical way.
@@GlamGirlGabi Thank you Gabi for the recommendation. I actually just started using a serum that contains Triaminodil so I will finish this and then move forward with the Rogaine. Love your videos!
@@CoderTerry Yes and if you find the serum is working, just stick to that! You always want to stick with what is working for you! Thank you for watching and for taking the time to leave me feedback. I appreciate you.
You always make your hair styling technique easy but now I’m confuse don’t know to buy this brand or the kerotin brand for my fine thin hair 🤔can you help me out please
Yes for sure I can help! I think they are both amazing and I use them both regularly on myself and have used both on fine hair clients as well. Go with your gut on this one because you won't be disappointed either way honestly. The only thing with the Keratin shampoo is that it has a lot of protein (which is great!) BUT you can't use it daily bc you can get protein overload. If you only wash your hair 2 or 3 times a week, you will be absolutely fine with it.
@@GlamGirlGabi thank you for answering my question I truly appreciate it and I thank you 😊 I will keep you posted what products I end up getting after all

Alterna is really nice. It is a high end professional brand and I had a lot of luck with the volume line. It works super well on my hair. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
I need a clamp curl. I just bought my first blow dryer in 30 years. I ride horses so have just been air drying for less damage. I am returning dryer because it is hard to dry long hair. Getting the blow out brush. I also need to find the mei powder. I am 60.
Look at your sassy self!! 😮❤😂 I loved your weirdness! 😍🥰🤣 This video made me super happy this morning! What a great way to start the day! That green shirt looks amazing on you! I hope your day goes well, Gabi! 🤗🥰
I'm confused. Did you use the curling iron on the crimped pieces or just on the top layers? Or is the curling iron method just a separate way to style? Inquiring minds want to know.
When are you going to do a shampoo video ? There is so many shampoos and serum for the hair and you use so many also . Which is the best shampoo serum for thinning hair and sensitive scalp
It is such a struggle for me to answer this question because I really don't think that there is one that is better than another. I think it depends on the individual person, what they like the most and what gives them the best results personally. If you have thinning hair and a sensitive scalp, I would look into MD Hair or Necessaire. Both of those brands are really good for scalp health. If you were my client, I would personally start you off with MD hair because it is a customizable system and it targets hair loss both from the outside and the inside.
Me 🙋🏻♀️me Gabi!!! I only wear my hair in a pony tail. It’s very thin and thinning 😢more at the front. Thank you for your video. Oh my daughter’s name is Gaby also. 😁. Beautiful name. Haha.
I have naturally white hair in the front half of my head and naturally grey hair at the back part of my head. Because it looks so weird, I now wear wigs. What can I do to get the grey part white? Or would it be easier to make the white grey?
Ok this is completely unrelated but I just saw your bangs video and loved them on you! What is the name of those kind of bangs ( I wanted to ask my stylist if something similar )would be good for me
i have the curling iron that doesnt have a clamp and i still dont know how to curl my hair dont like to do it to often where i know how much damage it causes
I find the only way to give my hair any body is a clamp curling iron! It just makes the end of my hair look more full and not so thin. And it falls out to these long Waves by the end of the day. But I could use more tips from the best hair mind there is 🥰💗💕🦋(in case you were wondering ,in my opinion ,it's you) I also love seeing your boys . They are adorable and have a great mom. I of course have five kids but I like to call myself a yummy mummy 🤭🏵️👄💄💋🤫keep on glammin girl!!
That is exactly what happens as we get older. My hair looks full when I style it because I have so much experience in styling fine hair but when I don't style it, even my friends are shocked as to how limp and fine it is. I can put the entire thing up in a TINY claw clip that is meant to hold half the hair. I can only imagine what I will have left when I am 60.
I struggle with my mini crimper so much. Horizontal, vertical, where to put the crimps to disguise them. It comes out with weird bumps. Help! Please do a dedicated video on the minicrimper for volume.
It's nice for special occasions but that's a lot of heat for fine hair. Even with heat protectant my hair breaks very easily with heated tools... I would appeciate some heatless methods. Thank you ❤️
The thing about makeup tutorials online is it actually looks terrible irl (people just arent telling you guys that). In order for the makeup to show up and look good on camera a ton has to be applied which transfers to clown makeup irl. It's the exact same principle as stage makeup. P

LOL I hear you girl. I hear you. It takes a lot of practise to master all of the styling technique. It is not for everyone.
Pen Smith skincare sent me 💕
I have naturally white hair in the front half of my head and naturally grey hair at the back part of my head.
Because it looks so weird, I now wear wigs. What can I do to get the grey part white? Or would it be easier to make the white grey?
Ok this is completely unrelated but I just saw your bangs video and loved them on you! What is the name of those kind of bangs ( I wanted to ask my stylist if something similar )would be good for me
Hey! Which bang video was it? Was it the curtain bangs video or the "Bangs can make you look a lot prettier" video?
Nossa que mulher bonita adoro ver ela arrumando os cabelos
i have the curling iron that doesnt have a clamp and i still dont know how to curl my hair dont like to do it to often where i know how much damage it causes
Sent to your site by PennSmithSkincare! I can see why she recommends your site🥳
I bought that shampoo and conditioner and yes... amazing volume..but then I noticed so much breakage
Great video! My hair is so fine and as I get older I am losing more. 😢
I saw the valoom rootie that cost 150 dollars to do exactly what this mini crimper does. I knew one like this would work.
Yes!! That hot tool is also amazing. I don’t have it but I tried it because a model brought it into the studio once and it was awesome!
Thank you ❤️
You are gorgeous! Could you do a makeup video!?!
The thing about makeup tutorials online is it actually looks terrible irl (people just arent telling you guys that). In order for the makeup to show up and look good on camera a ton has to be applied which transfers to clown makeup irl.
It's the exact same principle as stage makeup.
P
Do you use heat protectant?
Yea I typically use the LADOR heat protectant spray. It’s lovely because it’s super lightweight.
@Glam Girl Gabi,
So sorry - off topic, but I have to ask?
Q: What does your tattoo say on your right forearm? :)
Just had to ask. :)
It is a traditional Thai tattoo done with bamboo. It is in Sanskrit and represents a blessing for your life. :)
