The one thing I wish i hadn't covered with paint @ 8:30 is myself :( Which is why I am watching this video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us airless sprayer amateurs.
What is the relevance of the tip colours. .? I get it with the numbers, angles and amount of material flow. Just wondered if the colours have some meaning ?
Im a general contractor and own an older Graco 395 sprayer. I want to add an inline pressure gauge so I can better monitor the pressure in my line, do you have a pressure gauge recommendation?
My biggest problems is uneven finish on ceilings. I had a big dining room living room ceiling . I primed, and sprayed 2 coats over 3 days and when it was all dry and the light came in at a certain time in the day it looked streaky. I finally rolled a third finishing coat. My pressure was good, I over lapped the edges by about 3 - 4 inches and it looked good when wet.
Sorry to be off topic but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost the password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Ian Benicio I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Probably not enough paint. Dont be afraif to load it up. Dont quit...ceilings were the hardest for me to figure out...also make sure the ceiling area isnt too warm.
Great video. I'm brand new, this week, with a Graco 390. I'm using a massive amount of paint, using Leyland super leytex emulsion and a 517 tip. It's scary how much I'm going through. Hopefully this video will help reduce things. Thankyou
Poly , paper and dropclothes usually work for me 🤪🤪🤪 . But the fflp tips are quite nice . New les s experienced painters need to learn to keep the pressure low as you can while keeping a nice fan .
You dont need to know what pressure you have, all you want it the correct pattern and remember that setting. If you really want to know what pressure you have you can buy a gauge and put it on the gun.
Stand back and spray ever so lightly, doing multiple passes with very light passes. Of course remove the doors and hardware. The doors always get done somewhere else if you plan to spray them. If you do get a run, keep a medium nap cigar roller handy. Use a dry nap that doesn't shed Just hit the run ASAP so it blends in . Scrape excess paint off roller to keep it like a sponge to get that excess paint. Then you can do a light pass over the spot later if it should need a bit more blending
Not sure if goof off would work for the brick, but it can be good sometimes, there is paint stripper, the strongest being aircraft stripper which will take any type of paint and melt it away.
Mask off your freshly painted surface and use a pressure washer with a wide fan pattern to remove the over spray paint from the bricks. Make sure to stand back away from the bricks and only get as close as you need to slowly remove the paint. Keeping the pressure washer nozzle at a distance away will prevent any damage to brick, stone or stucco material from the high pressure water jet.
Simple question how do you reduce overspray, (magnum x5) paint in air, airborne paint, for more precision painting with this unit? Chinese unit didnt do this and my machine from 30 years ago. made sure area is warm, paint is warm . not just the water reduced pressure to lowest. So much paint is wasted with this unit. I would like to reduce volume , just like they paint in their demo video, they are painting 4 inch wide area and no over spray in the air.
Oh yeah... I almost forgot No matter what paint you choose... If you use latex, ALWAYS use top quality (Glidden) and add about half a cup of water and half a pint of Floetrol. It will extend the dry time for much, much longer , this leaving a much nicer, even finish.
Om te se my broo, somma goer. Hoes my accent? Lol. Good video mate. I'm spraying my rammed earth walls with lime wash mixed with a fine clean sand. Any tips?
This is an excellent video - the presentational style of the expert is first class. Learned so much watching this.

How are progressing am facing the same problem
Drop tip orifice size to 515 or drop pressure
517 is a larger .017 orifice size than .015. A 517 would be more for commercial use or a thicker material.
Great information! Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for the tips! next time i will try to pre heat the paint before we spray it!
Thanks for watching!
I literally had just put his video and skipped it since I seen yours. Just to see this dude again🤣
It would be great if you did a spraying course!!

I've got a wagner 250r sprayer HEA getting the pressure right on it with 517 tip ? Can't tell what pressures it's on can you help please?

Is that the $200 plastic paint sprayer? If so those only give a few settings and are garbage
Is there a link to part 2 anywhere?
Great information! Thank you!
Hi big fan, how to avoid running when spraying cabinets, thanks

Absolutely fantastic video nicely done 👊
How much pressure do I need for a 531 tip
2200
Hi. Got overspray on porous brick due to lack better masking. Any suggestions on removing it? Thanks.
