    What a great video! We're just about to start spraying our School Bus which we're converting into a tiny home on wheels and are using the Graco 390. This video helped a TON to recognize the different patterns of paint application so that we know what to adjust on our sprayer pressure setting based on how it looks. Thanks so much!!

    Very useful and interesting information. We use to say on top size, for instance, a 317 airless tip, the first number, a 3, is your fan width and you double it so a 6" fan, some say you also add in a variance of 2", so then it would be a 6"-8" fan width. And of course the last two numbers/digits a 17 is the office size. If you unsure, usually the material product data sheet will give you a recommended tip size range and you can start at the low end and work your way up.
    You guys have some really nice spray equipment on your site. Thank you, John

    Nice video with lots of good info...I just recently bought a airless sprayer and thought I would simply do it and learn as I go...I got a lot of paint drip/run when I used it today so Im guessing I had the wrong tip in play I was using a 5 and should have had a 3....Would the paint run less if I went for a higher pressure with the smaller 3 tip I'm using a Wagner 250m

      Hi,
      Thanks for your comment.
      If you want to reduce overspray, the first step will be to get a green tip and do not select an angle superior to 50°. The larger the angle will be and more overspray you'll get.
      If you have cabinets to paint, you'll likely choose as well a smaller angle that will help even more reducing it.
      Last point and none the less, the overspray will vary a lot depending on the paint applied. If your paint is not diluted at all and professional then you'll have automatically less overspray. The more liquid it will get and the more overspray you'll likely be getting.
      Kind regards,
      Airless Discounter team

    Hi sir , are you saying that too much mist is the symptom of over spray ? So if i can control the pressure nicely , that is no mist paint will reveal in the ambient ?

      @@AirlessDiscounterInternational thank you for yrs reply , my problem is i always wanted to avoid the mist from falling on the floor , coz i m lazy to cover the whole area 😁😁 , and low pressure can't paint evenly on the surface . And other video , i found they didn't cover the floor sometime , just wander how they control not to over spray without masking ? Or they actually over spray but they just ignore it ? Off course I am still cover the edge of the floor with card board but still the uncovered part remain some mist paint .

    150 bar is ideal

    • @AirlessDiscounter
      @AirlessDiscounter 2 года назад

      It depends on the material, the tip you use and other factors. 150 bar might be okay for some settings but can be far too much for others. All the best, Stefan

    I have a titan 440i I'm new enough to the spray game. Iv done about 3 jobs with it. I'm in the middle of doing some kitchen units. I'm finding my sprayer is pumping way too much material out which leads to runs ect. I have set the pressure high because my spray pattern has fish tails if I dont. In using 310 fflp graco. Any advice?

    • @AirlessDiscounter
      @AirlessDiscounter 4 года назад +1

      The tip might be worn out. You could try a new tip. A smaller tip could help too, as the FFLP308.

    When looking at the painting methods of a brush, roller and sprayer which uses the least amount of paint to cover the same area? So for example would a roller apply more paint to the wall than using a manual brush (even though a brush takes longer)?

    • @dericanslum1696

      ...that's entirely equipment and technique dependent...

    • @KuriusOranj

      It's been my experience that in general, spraying applies more paint than a roller. I can't imagine painting a wall using only a brush.

    What pressure ( 1- 10) would you spray interior walls if your using a Wagner 350 extra also if I was thinking of upgrading my 350 what would be a good model with actual pressure knob

      Thank you for the support! Have you considered renting a machine for a few days just to try it out? Some of the models have a simple, straightforward design that will allow you to experiment, at very little cost. There is a skill element to Airless spraying, however once you get the hang of it, the professionalism and paint finish achieved make it a worthwhile investment!

      Also put one of the strainers (1 gal. size), over the suction tube and secure it with a rubber band .Tip should stay good all day . And dont forget to use a 100 mesh filter in your gun when using the smaller tip sizes ( .010 - .013 ) .

      Go to an extra fine filter in your gun handle for the small tips. I've had that same problem before.

      What material did you spray with it? 410 is good for laquer, stain or wb satin. If it was emulsion you need at least 515. That type of clog should be caused by thick material.

    I paint shipping containers with oil enamel marine grade paint sine 2008. I use a Greco 390, last year I painted probably 80-100 units(3.5-10 gallons per unit) I didn't know about filter and tips required to be changed every so often.(I just cleaned my filters after every use and leave my tip and some thinner inside the gun still just chilling in a pail of xylene, Just changed from tip 215 to a 417.. every four or five units I spray now I find myself replacing the seal inside the paint machine, I was always told to use it on full blast pressure, I feel like this is causing an issue with one of the seals inside the bulk head(wear your metal ball is) causing it to break and needing replacing every 20 or so gallons, would this be fixed was simply turning down my pressure? Or?

    • @AirlessDiscounterInternational
      @AirlessDiscounterInternational  3 года назад +1

      Hi,
      Using full pressure is already not good yes. It it important to start from bellow and progress up than the opposite.
      But as commun rule, change the tip regularly and clean well your pump to avoid any quick issue with it. Filters as well when damaged.
      Kind regards,

      10 inch=25 cm. Same thing. Btw how quick can you calculate 10 inch multiplied by 13 inch in squarefoot? 10cm*13cm=130cm2=0.013m2 and I don't need a calculator for that. Metric is much easier and is precision, how much is 1 micrometer in inches btw?
