Made it with a buddy of mine, not understanding the hammer editor much, played it 1v1 at his house for hours on end, because playing online was too expensive. Uploaded to gamebanana at some point and from there it started popping up on servers. Great memories 😎
We had a ton of fun playing L337...and blaah was so spooky and iconic...in fact I remember all the maps of your video (except cs_gokarts and duhh, never played them) because I used to play on a french community server for years and they had more than 600 custom maps in the maps cycles...it's still online. Damn I miss those great 1.6 nights...
Fuckin greatest gaming time of my life. Teenager playing 1.5 1.6. We had seattle server decent size clan always full server. I was admin. I was obsessed settin map rotation. Would put the popular maps but wrinkle in a fy_iceworld or awp_leetskeet he_glass type maps and we all would have a blast
Know half of the maps of this video like as_alpine, awp_city and the fan favorite ones like de_rats (most of its variations), awp_india and fy_pool_day. On the other hand, I'm not familiar with the rest but I like aim_freak. Literally any map with Dust textures is a must play.
**nostalgia trip overloaded** many of these maps you never returned to after overcoming the noob-stadium (at least not in my case) if it wasn't for some gungame mode or something like that. i totally forgot l337sk337, pretty intense map lol

Yeah, I believe that audio issue was due to the youtube post processing I had to do. one of the Nipper Maps had a copyrighted song I didn't realize was in there and youtube tried to strike the video unless I removed it.

I didn't play the cs1.6 for those map. I'm looking toplay a remake/remaster or porting from original 1.6 version. Those map will be available on steam workshop Csgo - blahhh is my favorite map Cs2 - almost map has been coming back and got popular again.

I wish people still played these today. I have been back on 1.6 for nostalgia and most maps are non-NA dust pugs

I was a big fan of AIM maps and later gungame due to the fast pace compared to regular cs
