All the CS games have their fair share of guns and firearms. Today, we take a look at a few of the weapons that were cut or removed from the game, I even feature some renamed or altered weapons in here too.

Another fun fact to mention is that the MP5 was originally intended to release when CSGO was launched but it was cut during the beta stages of the game.
In addition to that, before the MP5 SD got officially added, Zool (known modder/CS Classic Offensive lead developer) made an addon of it replacing the MP7.

I was always wondering about this because the achievement for getting all smg kill achievements has a unsupressed mp5 in the picture of the achievement
Fun fact, you could mod in the machete into regular CS:CZ. Take all the view and world model and replace the default knife's model. I remember playing around with replacing weapons and models back in the day. Hell, you could even replace the hostages with the CT models from Deleted Scenes. You could also take those models and replace the scientist, Hgrunt, and Barney guards in Half Life.
The m60 was especially designed with the purpose of being fired from the hip. The m60 was America's first attempt at the concept of the General Machine Gun, created by the Danish and the Germans, which was a Machine Gun platform that could be adapted for vechile and mounted use, as well as infantry use fired from a bipod or from the hip. The m60 was designed in mind with the capability of being hip fired in situations that may arise and to this day most GMGs used by countries are made with the intent of hip fire use.
I was about to comment this too! iirc it's what they intended the BAR to be, but more.. viable.
Also because its heavy the felt recoil isnt all that bad compared to battle rifles that shot the same cartridge such as the m14
@@288gto7 Most games actually overexagerate recoil contrary to popular belief. Guns are made in mind with the idea to not recoil much if ideal, and when they do recoil, they recoil back into your shoulder (if you properly hold it) and rarely to they just climb up while your accuaracy goes to shit. I always cringe when that guy that GameSpot brings to do video game gun reviews says that guns do not have enough climb. If a modern 5.56 rifle climbs up at all when you're shooting it, you're shooting it wrong.
@@elsienova4269 yeah lmao, but m14 in full auto actually kicks pretty hard and is very hard to aim properly but still its nowhere near as bad as what video games claim them to be like. Especially cs is so bad. when running the projectile could literally hit just a bit in front of your foot meanwhile your crossair is pointing straight ahead. Projectile magically curves down by a massive amount after leaving the barrel because game logic

There's a fun bug with LAW in Deleted Scenes,where,after you fire it,quickly use Q before it's thrown away(or what ever button you use for quick switch to previous weapon). This way you can fire LAW as a many times as you wish as long as you don't swap your weapons

the shield in csgo is based on cs beta 4.0, you can carry it for defense capability but if you want to fire your gun, you have to drop it, that's what minh lee said, quote from ESC.
the shield made by gearbox software is complete different mechanic which was later implemented to 1.6, cz, and xbox, and yeah is was planned to add along side with t weapon, law rocket launcher, but it got cut.
some of these cut weapons like m60 and machete made into cs spin off, by nexon.
law grenade launcher was seen in nexon too if im right.

suicide belt actually made it to the CZDS although it's a T-only weapon just like the machete
CS Grenade & Concussion Grenade were in CS Betas, not cut from CS:CZ
Also, CS 1.6 guns didn't used all real-life gun names due to copyrights, exemple : CV-47 was actualy the AK-47, and for the others as you mentioned :)

The weapons were definitely re-named due to copyrights, but this video has some of them wrong.

228 Compact = Sig Sauer P228 (real life name) ---> Replaced by the Sig P250 in CS:GO
Night Hawk .50c ---> Desert Eagle .50AE

Dual Elites ---> Dual Berettas = In real life, these are referred to as the Beretta 96G Elite

Leone 12 Gauge Super = Benelli M3 Super 90 ---> Replaced by the Benelli SuperNova in CS:GO (simply named Nova).
Leone YG1265 Auto Shotgun = Benelli XM1014 ---> Simply known as the XM1014 in CS:GO
Sawed-Off (CS:GO Exclusive) = Sawed-off version of the Remington 870
MAG-7 (CS:GO Exclusive) = Techno Arms MAG-7 (full name).
ES M249 Para = FN M249 Para (or Minimi) ---> Known as just "M249" in CS:GO
IWI Negev (CS:GO Exclusive)

Schmidt Machine Pistol = Steyr TMP, with a suppressor ---> Replaced by the Brügger and Thomet MP9 in CS:GO, and lost its suppressor.
Ingram Mac-10 - Pretty much the only gun with its full real world name ---> Known as just the "Mac-10" in CS:GO
K&M Submachine Gun = H&K MP5 Navy ---> Replaced by the H&K MP7 in CS:GO, but an MP5SD variant was later added.
K&M UMP45 = H&K UMP45 ---> Known as simply "UMP45" in CS:GO
ES C90 = FN P90 ---> or P90 for short in CS:GO
*Assault Rifles:*
IDF Defender = IWI Galil ---> Replaced by the modern era Galil ACE in CS:GO

Magnum Sniper Rifle = Accuracy International (AI) AWP - although the model in the game is modeled after the AWM variant. ---> Simply known as AWP in CS:GO
Krieg 550 Commando = Sig SG-550 Sniper ---> Replaced by the FN SCAR-20 battle rifle in CS:GO
D3/AU1 = H&K G3/SG1 ---> Simply known as the G3SG1 in CS:GO.
In the first versions of Condition Zero it was planned to add the Law rocket launcher, in fact there are several screenshots of the beta game, where the wake and flash of the rocket are shown.

I was at my local range with my 9mm and the guy two lanes down had a suppressed MP5 (the integral suppressor) and I was startled how quiet it actually was. It was damn near Hollywood suppressed quiet. Not quite, but you would not hear it two rooms away. He let me shoot it and I was instantly in love. It has the perfect weight with a slight muzzle heavy feel. I put 5 rounds on the head area with no effort. It had a red dot that made target acquisition a snap. I don't know how it was in game, but in real life it would make a skilled operator extremely lethal, even more so than normal.

The Galil on CS 1.6, Source, CZ is a IMI Galil. In csgo is a Galil ACE
I remember vividly that me and my father used to play a pirated version of C.S 1.6 and we managed to counter the Tactical Shield, what we used to do was I would camp in an angle where it gave me an 180° view and a direct shot to the enemies behind. Meanwhile, he would do the same but from a different angle. Good times. (I also apologize if it too hard to understand what I wanted to say, I'm not good at explaining things.)
Btw, Kreig 550 commando was not just renamed, it is already a slightly different weapon. There was a caliber 5.56 with less damage and a magazine for 30, and not 20 rounds like SCAR

Forgotten as in they didn’t make it into later games, definitely not forgotten by true fans though :)

M60 basically. it has no reason or purpose to be in the game, since there're already the M249 in the game that work the same as M60

Played since CS beta 5.1 but I really didn't recall many of those mentioned weapons.
You can do jumping shoot with sniper rifles back then and still get accurate shot 🤣
Back from the old day . I spent countless time on FPSbanana to find a mod and install into my CS . Play with LAN friend back in school. Some christmas night with bots. Never feel bored . Legend game

Why didn't you mention SCAR-17? It's even on the CS:GO logo, but was cut during the beta.
Was trying to keep it in the category of old cs only.
Weird thing is, shield is easily encounterable. Just shoot the legs, shield looks like cover whole body with skin texture but its not, legs are exposed. Quick spray to the lower part of shield or 2 shots from awp would do the job
Because many servers disabled shield, many players tried and played against shield.
I found out this when bots decided to use shields and they just stand still
Most of these cut weapons did make a appearance in Counter Strike Nexon, if you count it as an official CS of course.
I have good memories with tactical shield.
When I was little I wandered around CS's server browsers and found one in particular. It was filled with russian bots / cheaters (or at least my 10years old brain thought that way), they could wall bang me every time there was a bangable wall, anyway...
I found there is a shield option in buy menu and it helped me!
I no longer was killed by things I see and don't see every time I leave spawn room! I could actually play the damn game!
And on another note, in two weeks playing on this server I become better at the game than my friend who played for months who challenged me to a duel with a thought of easy win ;)
There's also the Scar-17 from CS:GO Beta that was cut. You can find videos and even get the beta version online of csgo and play with it. The scar 17 was later replaced with the M4A4.
the m4a4 was available along side of the scar17. the scar17 was supposed to fill the role of m4a1s but they ended up simply adding it instead.
Pretty sure the one on the logo is a Scar MK16
For the weapons that you noted that were renamed or slightly altercated, I believe that you're mistaken that all the weapons today are pretty much the same as the ones in the older games. However I disagree with some, rather some of the older weapons were "completely replaced" by CS:GO guns.
The Leone Gauge Super's actual name is the M3 which was replaced by the Nova.
The Schmidt Machine Pistol's actual name is the Tactical Machine Pistol (TMP) which is replaced by the MP9
The Kreig 552 is just the SG 552 which is replaced by its younger variant SG 553
The Schmidt Scout was completely replaced by the SSG08.
The Kreig 550 Commando is just the SG 550 replaced by the SCAR-20
Somehow those guns went came back from the other game versions, Xtreme, Nexon and Online.

Also, as far as i know, there was a maps that allowed you to use mounted machinegun. And i'm not talking about fan made maps. I'm talking about official maps that never made it in to the final version of the game, do to obvious reasons. But i only played fan made maps that allows you to do that. And, when you are using that mounted machinegun, then it is fun. But when enemy does that, and you try to deal with them, it becomes frustrating. The only way i managed to take out enemy with mounted machinegun, is by sneaking in the distance with sniper rifle, and taking him out by a perfect headshot, or by throwing a grenade, but since CS 1.6 grenades doesn't do one shot kill, it does not help most of the times.
I think the shield is equippable in CS GO's battle royale mode.
You forget the Browning H2, the .30cal, the TOW, the LAV-25 Turret, M1A1 Abrams Turret and other nice stuff what are in many maps of the CS 1.5.
Never heard about the LAV25. On what map is it in?
@@Nonebit I don't remember the name, but it was some desert hostage map, where you can jump in a LAV- 25 and you can shoot it's cannon, even rotate the turret. Same as the Abrams. The LAV was on a spot where ct-s could easily escape with hostages. The Abrams was on a city map, and easily reach by ct-s to camp a spot where t-s could reach plant A easily. The Machine guns was on a few maps and mostly on t side against ct-s.

Fun fact the SIG SG553 in CSGO is actually the SIG SG556 Export model for the US.
The real world SIG SG553 is an updated SG552 Commando which also looks identitcal to the SG552.
I prefered the SIG SG552 Commando for its unique look and love of Swiss rifles.

the shield galil and famas were introduced in cs 1.6 when steam was released.
riot shield can be used in csgo in 2 modes which is casual hostage and in the danger zone mode. just thought of contributing a small little fact.

There was map based on D-Day event in Normandy and you would spawn in pillbox (bunker) and you could use machine gun to shoot on beach
Few of these reappeared in the infamous Counter Strike Nexon Zombies or now Nexon Studio
I miss the day when I was in junior high school and I used to download weapon mod from Gamebanana and replace my CS 1.6 models. Whenever Mantuna, Kopter, Ilopn, Imbrokeru or Unclegay post something I insta-download it. Good old days

Every time i see cs_backalley it reminds me of the candy vending machine, you could break it's window and hide slightly inside it as Guerilla Warfare with a knife pulled and blend in pretty well from anyone not paying attention...probably about 15% success ratio but it was worth it for the laughs
people to this day have no idea of the CS:CZ deleted scenes campaign,

1:07 you might want to give a try on CSO/CS Nexon Zombie/CS Nexon Studio, the M60 was rebuild in that game (has many modified variants also: Gold M60, Balrog 7, M60 Maverick,...). CSO is one of the CS games still keeps the most basically things of the legendary fps game. Zombie modes is also fun

The shield was really annoying to use even in the Condition Zero: Deleted Scenes campaign where you must use it in the Fastline mission. I hate it

The Pancor Jack hammer has such a 'cool' aesthetic but in actual fact it has never been used in any field. There are only 3 prototypes and these lack sights, ergonomics and proper furnishings. Feel free to correct me but as far as I remember at least one of the 3 prototypes doesn't even fire, it's more a model. The weapon has, at best, only ever proved it has the ability to fire and never even got to the stage of field or even endurance testing.

But do you remember a 1.6 cs version where Desert Eagle is in GOLD, ROTATING Turret hand held machine gun and AK47 is little bit heavy looking.
I played that version in my friend's computer a long time ago.
I never found that version or mod.

That sounds like an unofficial version (a mod or a completely different game such as crossfire or counter strike online maybe)

u should do research about cs nexon zombies on steam, formerly known as cs online, that game had massive fantasy weapon but it has jackhammer , rpg , and grenade launcher. Maybe nexon used the deleted content in their game, i used to play that cs from 2014-2020 in indonesia region but it closed in 2020/21 😢

I actually don't agree with the reasoning behind adding the tactical shield and the MP5 to this list, when they both exist in CSGO to this day in some form. I think it would be nice to put them under a different category.
