I find it fascinating how Nissan went from making subpar garbage JDM cars like these to stunning masterpieces like the Juke and Murano CrossCabriolet 😍
Considering the price of a lot of the JDM legends now, it would really make sense for the Japanese brands to licence the production of replicas. Like how a lot of old Ford's muscle cars are done.
That's the awesome thing about Nissan, they essentially still make/stock all the parts to keep one of their heritage cars going, even actual unibody frame components, so with enough Nissan love, patience, cash and welding skills you can build a '90s GT-R or 300ZXTT in your garage. Like they even still make a limited number of RBs for folks as "repair components"!
I love these videos of car collections or museums in other countries. Esp. when they are not really known to the public, best part is they are free. I had the good chance of going to the Subaru STi museum in Japan, it was through YT I discovered it and it was free as well. It was a fantastic experience. Looking forward to visiting this place as well.
I rode around in an 85’ Datsun pickup. It was 4x4 manual transmission, extended cab (I remember sitting sideways in the back jump seats) and very very brown with Datsun script in cream on the tailgate. That thing was a beast and could go places I didn’t think vehicles could go.
Great too see the G60 Patrol featured, every bit as iconic as the Landrover and Landcruiser on the off beaten tracks of the world. The Patrol nameplate is Nissans oldest, 70 years old and counting.
I'd take a pristine rally 240z over many a hypercar these days. Heres why.... potholes, speedbumps & draconian new car laws. It also helps that it's beautiful and full of character.
Love this! Nissan and the other Japanese manufacturers classic cars often get over looked because people are looking at the German and Italian stuff Nice to see this heritage and little reminder of what Nissan have done and can do! Nismo Ariya just been announced so let’s keep the momentum going
I know more about the history of Nissan that this guy. Incidentally 200sx s14a best car I've ever owned. Put 80k mile's on it and loved every mile. Wish I still had it.
Nissan said they want to bring back the Nissan Silva I hope they do and offer it in manual and automatic for both enthusiasts with good horsepower turbo good sounding exhaust front intercooler nice rims brakes keep the body style the same maybe upgrade the body a little bit better interaer racing seats. Maybe offer it in nismo.
The problem is getting tickets, because the damn Japanese are experts at complicating everything and they only come out at the beginning of the month and only 40 a day.
MID-4, the Nissan supercar that never was. I bet they were kicking themselves after the success of the NSX that came afterward! Nissan is like GM, the engineers have some amazing ideas, but they get kicked into the bin when the bean counters and board members realize there aren't any short term gains to be had.
@4:35 "...and it's _not_ actually a real car." Yes it is, it's right there in front of you. You SAT in it, you silly billy. And clearly it runs and drives. So it may not be a _production_ car, but even one-off prototypes and show cars are real cars; no need for insults haha
Which of Nissan’s treasures is your favourite?
First gen GT-R
GTR R34
Datsun 180B in Orange : )
R390GT1 street
now nissan only has family cars

Whatchu talkin bout Willis, Nissan's pinnacle was the Cube.
My thoughts exactly!
The Juke and Murano were junk. You must be a bot. You over here name dropping a Suv and Cuv…🤢
And an EV SUV
@@goforbroke2I think it’s a joke that today Nissans cars are bad
That police car is named Prowl and he happens to be one of Optimus' most loyal autobots, thank you very much
I think Prowl was a 280Z
@@nughh3546Damnit, you're right
Tom Ford is always great, would love to see him more.
R34 Skyline is a beuty!
Love me some Hakosuka and KenMeri Skylines two of my favorites !
Can we get a big video of this car collection plz
In terms of rarity for r34 GTRs, the Z-tune is really the pinnacle.
And, one of the Z tune r34 is painted in factory midnight purple 3. making it the rarest of all R34s. basically 1 of 1
There are 19(!) original Z-tune, but only 1 J-Tune made last Year!!!😎👌🎉
@@PwnageJ Literally one of the hottest cars ever 🥵
One of the lesser knowns as well are the V-spec N1. Lighter factory race-spec ver. only 38 made.
@@PwnageJ Actually there're 2 Z tunes in the world with the Midnight Purple 3 paint schemes, they're #10 & #15
The 240z police car is actually a vehicle used by the Kanagawa police, not in Tokyo.

That value of that m spec r34 after this video will be bonkers

JDM car culture, the best
It hurts my soul knowing Nissan stepped away from motorsport just before the current Golden era really began...hope they come back.
What an awesome collection Nissan is the best JDM for me,
Tom great video ❤❤❤❤
With the recent remodel of the Honda Collection Hall. This in my opinion is the best manufacturer museum in Japan
That r390 😍
One day I'd love to visit this place. And 200sxs? The drifting fraternity love these 😎
I love Tom! He’s funny.

What an awesome place!
this video needs to be at least half an hour long!
The nissan p510 four door and 240z are the greatest 😊
love my 72 Datsun 240z getting new wheels put on it in a couple days
Is the one of one, street version of the R390 there??
Yes! Tom in Japan is the best type of videos on this channel by a country mile!
Tom Ford is the Car version of Alan Carr. Just Sayin'

Hold on, it's open to the public and ITS FREE, ALL I GOTTA DO IS BOOK AND GET THERE?
*THAT'S WHY HE'S THE GOAT*
Who?

Bruh he didn’t review the rare skyline gtr R 33 Lm nismo road car
The problem is getting tickets, because the damn Japanese are experts at complicating everything and they only come out at the beginning of the month and only 40 a day.
My Dad liked to describe heavy precipitation as "raining Datsun cogs".
Nissan should take a visit in their own „holy halls“ in there and remind themselves of what bangers they used to make
What a collection!
Oh Yeah!😍🥰🥰🥰
You can lock my inside this Garage overnight! I don't care! When I'm thru all the beautiful cars it's next morning anyway!🤣🤩😘🚘👍
This is all very okay "journalism" but to call it Top Gear just feels sad
what about subaru?
Why So Less Views On This Big Channel??😢

All about the 240Z 😊
2:46 close, but that's not a Tokyo cop car. That's a Kanagawa cop car. You're in Kanagawa for a reason.
When talking about the history of the GT-R, one must not ignore the existence of its predecessor, the S54 GT-B.
This video should have been minimum 10 hours long

Why not take up the thing why its called Skyline? Its pretty simple and logic.
Come on... This tour was far too short! Get back in there and do a proper run-down on the whole thing!
Subaru disrespected to death in that intro lol.
I think my dad had a choke on one of his citron cars when we was growing up
not one silvia 😭

How is this allowed to be shown on YT!? It should be on one of those "other" websites. I think I ** twice while watching this.
I'll never be in Japan, so no thanks.
this gtr craze is a bit suspect... seeems overrated 2me
first!
Are we ever going to get real Top Gear back? This pound shop Top Gear with its museum tours and tunnel runs isn't a worthy effort.
Second 🥈
Even for woke standards this vid is short. Part 2, please.
What are you even talking about? Do you need to see a doctor?
