But Today I am happy for them days and the memories, for my dad sharing his taste of music with me as its gave me great taste in music ❤
I'm only 27, but my grandma raised me, and I remember her playing Meat Loaf when I was a toddler. Like I knew every song on this album before I even knew any nursery rhymes. Meat Loaf was an inspiration to me. I loved to sing listening to him. I learned to really love music watching him get into every performance. He was the ONLY celebrity I ever wanted to meet in person. And when I heard he'd died, I just broke. I will forever love this man and what he did.
You have an amazing grandma! I will never forget the day my mother played the Bat Out Of He'll album the first time, I hated it! But within the time it took to get home the album had played through twice, and I was in love!
I seriously loved this man. His voice was unrivaled and he never got the credit he should have. His music brings me back to 15yr old me getting yelled at to turn it DOWN. RIP Meat, you touched so many of us.
Everything about this man was legendary. His vocals, his performances. It's a damn shame. Been thinking about him all day. I wish I was born just a bit sooner so I could've seen him live. Rest in peace.
Legendary music. Bat out of hell is still a masterpiece - made in a time when rock n’roll was composed by truly talented musiciens and singers. Meat Loaf was a master in that game.
Only reason this man was not the biggest name in rock was because he was a big man and he didn’t kiss ass but he toured his ass off for bat out of hell at a huge personal cost to his own well being
Forever and always one of the greatest classics EVER. Jim Steinman was a master of composition and songwriting and Meat Loaf performed them the best of all.
Rest in peace Jim Steinman. The lord of excess, the greatest song writer of all time. You'll never know the impact you had on my life but you were the greatest! Thank you for everything and God Speed Jim! God Speed!
I wouldn't call myself a fan, but whenever I listen to this or another of his work, I say "yeah, this is good music". So, thank you for everything! Meat Loaf (1947-2022)
JBR Yeah. I’ve been thinking about him since I heard the news of his death this morning. I would never have described myself as a big Meatloaf fan - certainly not when I was younger (the lads at my school who were into him were the long-haired heavy metal crew who tended to go about wearing Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, etc T-shirts). But he was a big presence in our culture and on reflection there were a few movies that I regard highly that he played significant roles in. From the Rocky Horror Picture Show to Fight Club… I suppose there are some people who we don’t really appreciate properly until they are gone
R.I.P meatloaf the big guy had such an influence on my teen years and i'm not ashamed to say i' shed a tear over his passing, i will forever hold his music and his pure presence close to my heart what a performer and showman, god bless him, i hope his family find some peace in the fact that his name will live on forever.
thank you to all who loved his music and let us not forget acting, he was a true rock n roll icon who i hope will be remembered forever for being a very special person who comes along once in a lifetime, he came from nothing but became a hero to a certain age group, what a man what a life.
R.I.P Meatloaf. We have lost a true legendary icon. Your voice, music and epic music videos will live on ! You never did get the recognition you deserved but we still loved you ! All your fans will buy the album you were working so hard on and we will continue to support you ❤💔❤. All our love... Your fans ❤
Another of my heroes has gone today. When teamed with Jim Steinman there was literally no one who could compare with him. RIP and thanks for a hell of a lot of great music.
What a singer, what a showman, the theatrics, he was incredible. Saw him live in Australia in the late 80's. Was the best live performance I've ever seen to this day.
Saw him four times in Aus, first at the Tweed when the show started four hours late because he "fell off the f^&*^n stage last night and broke my f&^%$N LEG" Lost without him...

Agree with you.. saw him live in Barcelona in 1983. Amazing! We were standing and dancing just below the stage, below HIM. Unbelievable. Great memories...Whitesnake performed after him. We were below David Coverdale.Great concert but Meat Loaf impressed me more than them. Unforgettable. Bat ouf of hell forever! Rest in peace Meat and Jim Steinman.Thank you for everything!!!
Meat Loaf's told great stories with lyrics and the music was awesome. One thing I loved was the fact you could really understand what he was saying. He maybe gone but his music will be for ever. RIP 🇨🇦
R.I.P Meat Loaf. I remember when I was still a child around the turn of the millennium me and my friend used to walk the roads at night, out in the wilderness where we lived. We would lay down on the middle of the road in pitch black, looking up at the stars and singing the entirety of "Bat out of Hell" word for word at top of our voice. It was safe as there were hardly ever any cars drove there and even if there were you could see the lights coming from miles away. Nothing around just fields and not a sound but us singing Meat Loaf. It's one of those good childhood memories of mine. I always remember. I wish I could go back to those carefree days of youth. Better times when kids still enjoyed playing outdoors before the technology really took over.. no smartphones so if you wanted to listen to Bat out of Hell when you were out you had to sing it yourself.
In the 70s I drove trucks from England to the middle east, this song kept me going during those long boring hours of driving. A genuine thanks Meatloaf you were the best 👌
"You think, You're privileged to be here tonight?", he said to us in the audience at a concert around *93, "No way, I am privileged to stand here and sing for You", he concluded. RIP, my friend... Sadly missed here already.
RIP (as the NY Times used to call him respectfully) Mr. Loaf. Rock and Roll ICON, a legend. He'll be sorely missed. Thank you, sir, for the years and years of not just musical but theatrical entertainment. Last week Ronnie, now this. Tough year for pop and rock so far.
Agreed- I was looking up Meatloaf tribute bands today for some reason - nothing comes remotely close. The video always brings a smile to my face. You never know whether they are being truly serious as there's a subtle suggestion of campness in there. I like the way the guy on the chopper exits so "responsibly" through the graveyard at the end - after all the drama of the song. I some times think the lyrics would make a great resignation letter too!

But Today I am happy for them days and the memories, for my dad sharing his taste of music with me as its gave me great taste in music ❤
🥰😃😃
I'm only 27, but my grandma raised me, and I remember her playing Meat Loaf when I was a toddler. Like I knew every song on this album before I even knew any nursery rhymes. Meat Loaf was an inspiration to me. I loved to sing listening to him. I learned to really love music watching him get into every performance. He was the ONLY celebrity I ever wanted to meet in person. And when I heard he'd died, I just broke. I will forever love this man and what he did.
Sounds like your grandma was pretty cool!
So well said! Me too! X
You have an amazing grandma! I will never forget the day my mother played the Bat Out Of He'll album the first time, I hated it! But within the time it took to get home the album had played through twice, and I was in love!
@@angelavandoorn9984 Honestly like 80% of my musical taste came from her. I was raised on classic rock and the golden oldies.
You had an amazing grandmother! Sending love from Scotland ❤
I seriously loved this man. His voice was unrivaled and he never got the credit he should have. His music brings me back to 15yr old me getting yelled at to turn it DOWN. RIP Meat, you touched so many of us.
Same ❤️
Like a catholic priest who was never caught; he really did touch so many of us

God I love him, grew up with his songs, nothing today comes close to the bands and singers of that era.. RIP
My mom loved his songs!
Bat Out Of Hell one of the best songs ever
Everything about this man was legendary. His vocals, his performances. It's a damn shame. Been thinking about him all day. I wish I was born just a bit sooner so I could've seen him live. Rest in peace.
Saw him in 1994 truly one of the best concerts I've ever been to!!

RIGHT, Lilly.

This whole album deserves a rock musical film. RIP you talented bat out of hell!!!
It got a rock musical theatre show which is incredible!
Legendary music. Bat out of hell is still a masterpiece - made in a time when rock n’roll was composed by truly talented musiciens and singers. Meat Loaf was a master in that game.
(: That is true ... ☺
(: That is true ... ☺
THE "Master." FACT... RIP
he wrote zero words of these songs. He was a singer not a song writer. Amazing singer but had no creative force for his stories about dead teenagers.
So sorry to hear about the death of Meatloaf. He was a truly gifted actor and singer.
very kind words
His name was Robert Paulson.
Loved by his fans, adored by other musicians, hated by critics. Well you know what? Two out of Three Ain't bad!
The most important two as well.
Critics hated him? WTF man…
Only reason this man was not the biggest name in rock was because he was a big man and he didn’t kiss ass but he toured his ass off for bat out of hell at a huge personal cost to his own well being
Critics?..what in the hell do they know?,fuck em❤Ruud from the Netherlands ❤
Good one! Lol!
God Speed!
You said it all, thank you. I loved this man. 😭
Sod the world, when I die, I want Bat out of hell played at my memorial service.
"because nothing really rocks and nothing really rolls and nothin's ever worth the cost" damn.... what else is there to say. Rip
".... the greatest song writer of all time" is a bit excessive but he created a classic with this album, for this alone he will be an immortal.
and now Meatloaf died 😢
I wouldn't call myself a fan, but whenever I listen to this or another of his work, I say "yeah, this is good music".
So, thank you for everything!
Meat Loaf (1947-2022)
It’s sad to lose such a legendary rocker.
Not my scene either, but this song was transcendent as was the man himself!
@JBR where do you get that? The cause of death has not been disclosed
What a legend rip meatloaf x
R.I.P meatloaf the big guy had such an influence on my teen years and i'm not ashamed to say i' shed a tear over his passing,
i will forever hold his music and his pure presence close to my heart what a performer and showman,
god bless him,
i hope his family find some peace in the fact that his name will live on forever.
thank you to all who loved his music and let us not forget acting, he was a true rock n roll icon who i hope will be remembered forever for being a very special person who comes along once in a lifetime, he came from nothing but became a hero to a certain age group,
what a man what a life.
Me too, gutted to hear the news this morning. R.I.P

What a singer, what a showman, the theatrics, he was incredible.

Meat Loaf's told great stories with lyrics and the music was awesome. One thing I loved was the fact you could really understand what he was saying. He maybe gone but his music will be for ever. RIP 🇨🇦

Never. simply unbelievable

We'll keep dying, is what we'll do.
"It was long ago and it was far away and it was so much better than it is today."
One of the Top ten rock albums of all time!! A true masterpiece!

Absolutely loved this man, so authentic and raw. These kind of artists don’t really exist anymore. Rest easy, Meatloaf! 🙏🏻
