Out of curiosity, what didn't you like about rock? I feel like rock is literally impossible to hate simply because it's such a huge and diverse genre that encompasses so many types of songs, so you're bound to like certain types of rock. "Rock" includes anything from Jimi Hendrix to the All American Rejects, from Elvis to Black Sabbath, from Chuck Berry to Gwen Stefani, from Queen to Coldplay. I would go as far as to say that rock is the single biggest genre in the world, both in terms of variety as well as sheer popularity. That's why I'm curious as to how you could possibly hate rock?
Saw him twice live. First time back in 03 some Canadian band just starting out opened for him cant remember the name. Second time in I think 13 or 14 Marilyn Manson opened for him. All I got to say is for how old alice is he can still put on a great show.
The first time I saw Alice Cooper live was in the mid 90's. The highlight for me was he asked the audience (us) to request any song for them to play, I immediately screamed Poison as loud as I possibly could. He turned to the band and waved the baton, and BAM! Poison! Great memory from an amazing show!
I was 12 when "Billion Dollar Babies" came out. I remember my older brother listened to Alice Cooper and I started to really pay attention and listen to his music. I knew even as a kid that his music was really good, and catchy, controversial and dark yet he seemed like a "decent guy" despite his bad boy image. I even bought "Billion Dollar Babies" way back then in the 70s when I was just a pre-teen. I would say, though, that Poison is my favorite song of his for the sheer quality of the songwriting and execution and emotion of it. It is so well crafted and it's timeless.
The perfect song with difficult vocals in a low range. The vocals do not go that high to Make this difficult but rarely can anyone sing this in a manner that shows Similar finesse.
In addition to being a great star who made great music in his own right, Alice Cooper also helped several stars beat addiction. Dave Mustaine basically says Alice saved his life. Mad respect, dude :)

Begone, poser. Ew.
@@viktordickinson7844 This is the name of this subgenre of hard rock, sir. If you dislike it so much you should _probably_ be commenting on the authenticity of Belphegor or Imperial Triumphant fans instead of Alice fking Cooper.
Alice used Hellraiser for inspiration of the look of the video.

I'm 14 and l've just discovered Alice Cooper's songs and think they are pretty good. Thanks to my father for sharing this beautiful misic with me
Your wellplum
Enjoy, young brother!
You discovered a gold mine. Take your time
Alice Cooper was the first concert I ever went to - about a month and a half before I was born. Pretty sure I was rocking devil horns in the womb.
Never is too late if your joy is good
Alice, Warrant, Skid Row, Europe, Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Whitesnake... there's no way to explain the feeling when I listen to these artists 🤘🤘🔥🔥
..not to THIS misguisded generation, and not without help from Rebbeca, anyway.
@@sashasue00 wtf, and?? Did I mention any specific generation? Can't you talk about music of different decades? Couldn't I talk about The Doors, Guns n roses and Our Last Night in the same sentence? apparently no
@@sashasue00 that's a hella coincidence then
Alice Cooper was around long before the others you mention.
@@LivingOver60 I didn't talk about any specific time.
Back then I wasn’t a rock fan, but this song performed by Alice Copper was the very few rock singles I bought, loved it and even now in 2022 it’s still awesome
oh
who? Just image
It's Cooper, not Copper
Who the hell is Alice Copper???
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANYONE LIKE ALICE COOPER AGAIN, HE IS ICONIC
I dont wanna argue that this is actually the best rock songs of the 80s (at least a top 5 for me)
Was Alice Cooper ever young?
He still looks the same lmaoooo
He is a vampire, lest we forget.
My first concert in 1973 awesome
😂😂😂
He is now
Alice Cooper, if I could talk to you in person, I would just say thanks for your music over the years. This song is one of my favorites.
Saw him twice live. First time back in 03 some Canadian band just starting out opened for him cant remember the name. Second time in I think 13 or 14 Marilyn Manson opened for him. All I got to say is for how old alice is he can still put on a great show.
I don't know how, but he's looked like his 50 for the last 40 years
I think so.
Yeah he looked 50 when he was 41 (in this video) but still does, he's been the cool dad forever lmfao
Looks like a leather couch come to life, and it's always been an iconic look for him
I'm dying.
Yup
His voice is so special.. This song is a masterpiece 💯👏👏❤️
Holy shit... You lucky bugger.
maestrojon liar I was actually the one who shouted it and he later banged me in his bus because he liked me so much.

Alice Cooper is simply amazing. Always has been, always shall be. Easily my favorite song of his.

Now we just need Poison to write a song called Alice Cooper
now THAT would be awesome
Thank God that I was not the only one to think that .♡
NIIIICE, James. i'd buy it. lol

Sorry to bring it to ya, but it's from 1997... Although it's more or less the same really
The 80s were a killer decade to grow up in.
They WERE. I miss seeing the big hair. People should bring that back.
Dude, Garrison Grant, back then they made REAL music, man... not like today... it is all PRETENTIOUS and WANNABES...

In addition to being a great star who made great music in his own right, Alice Cooper also helped several stars beat addiction. Dave Mustaine basically says Alice saved his life. Mad respect, dude :)
I first heard this song on a plane twenty-five years ago as a kid. Only heard part of it. Never found out the name of it until today. I've heard...lots of songs, but somehow this one has ALWAYS evaded me.

We played this song just before we went to a party in the early 90's every time! At maximum volume! My friend Niklas Wendel was only 27 in 1994 when he died. We played it at his place

When MTV came out, it really fleshed out the intent of a song in a vivid manner that the radio waves could not. Definitely works of art that paved the way for music. Not any more.
