Why this isn't considered one of greatest rock songs of all time, and why Meatloaf isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, are beyond me. What a performance!

My wife was the lead singer of a lounge band in the '80s. Several times late in the evening, my wife and myself would cover this. While she had the voice of an angel and I admit I not the best singer but when on that little stage there was no one better in the world. Unfortunately she was taken away from me in an auto accident. Every time I hear this I can feel her right beside with a wide smile and her eyes beaming. God knows I miss her. RIP LeAnna I still love you and miss you every day of life

Anyone who has ever taken that class in the US "Educational" system from a public school should agree! I took it the year this amazing song was released, and sat in on my son's 21 years later. (EVERY parent should do the same, so they can help un-do the damage!

Meatloaf was black balled by the music industry but he proved them wrong and sold millions of records. I basically grew up to Meatloaf.
My mother used to sing in the car, dance in the kitchen, and crank this song everytime she heard it. Before digital releases and digital platforms and people listened to the radio, if the song came on just before we got home, she'd sit in the car in the driveway until the song was over.
She even requested this song when she got remarried (to whom is my awesome father now).
