Saturday, 26th October 2024, 20 past midnight and having a slice of the loaf! Truly amazing single by a great performer, a great artist. Shame he passed when he did, would have loved to have seen him live

His passing was devastating. The most humble rock legend to ever live. He mostly left the fame for his daughters. Imagine being a rock star and leaving it for the sake and love for his children. I've met him many times. He was just a dad. Took more pride in being human and humble. Absolutely a great man/father. Nothing more to tell

There will never be another person whose voice carries more power, nor emits such pure heart and soul behind every lyric as Meat Loaf. He sang as though every song was his last, giving it his all in the name of rock opera. God bless you, Meat Loaf, you will forevermore leave us all awe inspired by your immense energy which gave way to a wonderous exhibition of raw and beautiful emotion that richly flowed through your music.

R.I.P meatloaf, one of the absolute greatest singers of all time, he has always been in my top 5 and that will never change, mans didnt even need a studio to sound phenomenal
I recall hearing Meat Loaf’s songs on the radio. Sadly, he was never credited for them, unlike Michael Jackson, Elton John, etc. so, I never know I listened to his songs. I grew up hearing Meat Loaf’s name here and there. Since his passing, I have been listening to his songs, realizing I have heard some of them. I really need to buy his albums.
Michael Lee Aday didn't die, he just passed into legend, he was too big for us, a gentle giant, and his music was, is and will be forever simply extraordinary , he made the world better with his music and will never be forgoten, rest in peace Marvin and thank you for everything :)
My mom introduced me to meatloaf as a small child. My mom opened my world to all types of music. I was a young black kid growing up in a ruff part of town but at night my mom would play two out of three ain't bad and I was a forever fan. I'm 18 now and a US Marine Reservist and Engeering student and I will honor the great meatloaf all day rock on legend.
He was so beautiful. The way he poured his entire self into every song was palpable. I am so fortunate to have gotten to enjoy his music. Rest easy, sir.
One of the Best Power Ballads ever written and sung!!!! Then, Now and Ever Will Be!!!! Rest in Peace Meatloaf....Your Legacy and Music will live on Forever!!
always loved Meatloaf, saw him twice, as far as showmen go, Meatloaf and Freddy Mercury are in a league of their own, the sad part is, the musicians that accompany the big man are so underrated, and need more recognition and talked about more, RIP big guy.
My dad too, in the 70s and 80s and then would sing at the top of his lungs then ask me if he sounded like him, I'd just laugh, my dad had a thick accent and I didn't have the heart to tell him he didn't sound like him or his other favorite Elvis, always hold on to your memories!
Anyone else come on here to listen to this legend after hearing of his passing? the man was a character with a voice of an angel 👼 R.I.P MEATLOAF fly high ❤️
A unique voice, an incredible stage presence, he was more than just a singer or a performer... he was a modern storyteller. Thank you Meatloaf for making my life more colourful and dreamy. My dad is still one of your biggest italian fan... and so do I.
I am just old enough to have experienced both of Meat Loaf's most successful eras, and knowing that he hit bottom in between makes the second one so incredibly sweet to have witnessed. I love that multiple generations have embraced the man and the music he created along with Jim Steinman from their hearts and souls. Regardless of one's favorite music genre, it's very hard for me to comprehend how someone cannot love this song, in particular. It is a sweeping and majestic masterpiece. He truly made an impact that is uniquely his. A true one of a kind performer. Fare thee well, Marvin Lee Aday. Thank you for taking on this incredible journey with you, and for providing a soundtrack for so many of us.
Its not underrated in early '90's was a top song, for me one of the best ballads of that time, i remember i was very impressed every time i was listening to it. Even now with 150 million vews you cant say it underrated
I'm devastated. I grew up with his music and my dad was a huge fan. I feel he was ahead of his time and this song in particular is, in my opinion, one of the greatest songs written. It has so much presence and emotion, and Meatloaf really nailed it. RIP legend. You'll be sorely missed.
My son informed me of Meatloaf's passing, and he remembered me playing "Wasted Youth" while taking him to school. The guy was a real musician, not just a singer.
Oh no! Lord God , yahweh ,Jesus, Joseph, baby jesus.....all yall help us God ,how can someone die??!!? I'm personally affected! Timeout! No way! This isn't happening! It ain't gonna fly nooooooope not even once.
They broke the mold when they made Meat Loaf! No one like him in all of music. What a passionate performer and amazing voice. Thanks for the memories Meat. RIP
Meatloaf is one of the few artistes across all genres that tells the story with his voice. You can feel the anger, the pain, the fear, the joy, the loss and the victories all in his voice. He’s a complete singer. Opera does that to you.
Meat is a legend, but it's Jim Steinman's lyrics that have reached immortality. Embracing the operatic and the absurd, the sentimental and the human, his lyrics are three act plays. RIP to one of rock's greatest lyricists.
There will never be another Meat Loaf, the man will forever be a legend and a huge favourite amongst my family, particularly my grandmother’s who was lucky to have seen Meat Loaf live 3 times, she loves him and his music dearly 🦇❤ The video for 'I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)' does give me all the Beauty and the Beast vibes, which is surprisingly my all-time favourite Disney film. 🌹
I woke up this morning with this song in my head from 30 years ago, so I turned it up and danced with my little girls like crazy. What a timeless classic. It brought tears to my eyes, how much time has passed and I longed for younger, simpler years. Rock on!!!
@@TheNosferatu666 that’s true he did, and Jim Steinman is an amazing song writer. I meant of how Meatloaf put emotion into that story telling. I listen to people who cover the song and it’s no disrespect to them but they can’t capture the emotions of the lyrics.
I remember when this came out, I was in high school and it played non stop on MTV. I wore out the cassette tape in my old truck. Good times. Rest in peace.
The fact that Meatloaf amazed us with music like this shows how untouchable his talent is. Hot Potatoe and Still Alive will be my favorites forever! RIP Legend!
as a kid growing up, meatloaf was one of my parents' favorite singers. I'm now 26. lost my dad when i was 18 and i lost my mom Christmas eve 2022. holding my necklace with her ashes in it in my hand while listening to this for the first time in years, just brought tears. tears of pain of losing my father as a teenager and recently losing my mother as a young adult, but tears of joy of the times all 3 of us would listen to music in the living room every so often. RIP Meatloaf and RIP Mom and Dad, y'all are together again. I love and miss you
Sorry for you loss. This one one of the songs when I felling down I listen to. RIP Meatloaf. He did the best power ballads of the 80's. Yet most don't know. They will know the songs yet not know who song them. This I remember from junior high school and full song is like 14 minutes long. They cut it down for radio.

I dont care what anyone says this is a perfect rock opera. this song deserves way more credit for being amazing
Classic rock music
Do you happen to know other music similar to this?

Very very true amazing needs loads more credit amazing rock opera been sing here wow 😮
@@m.p.4707 Older Nightwish, but it's a female vocalist.
Who's Marvin?
@@oasis4ever718
The Dallas-born singer was born Marvin Lee Aday but also known as Michael!

Forever Michael❤️🌹
October 2024 I hope others still miss Meatloaf as much as I do 😞
Legend Never Die !!!

Idk what it is about this song but I listen to it on repeat sometimes. I love her part in the song!!

What about the scene in the Rocky Horror Picture Show??? Hahahaha, escaping from the freezer in his bike...hahahaha. RIP Meat Loaf

It’s a perfect song music and artist
always loved Meatloaf, saw him twice, as far as showmen go, Meatloaf and Freddy Mercury are in a league of their own, the sad part is, the musicians that accompany the big man are so underrated, and need more recognition and talked about more, RIP big guy.
R.I.P Meat Loaf, What a amazing artist! They don't make them like this anymore. My dad used to blast this out on long car journeys! Good memories.
🙏🏻
🙏
Mine too
My dad too, in the 70s and 80s and then would sing at the top of his lungs then ask me if he sounded like him, I'd just laugh, my dad had a thick accent and I didn't have the heart to tell him he didn't sound like him or his other favorite Elvis, always hold on to your memories!
We were lucky enough to live at time when Meatloaf was around. What a bonus. Thanks for the music big man. #love
I will always remember you my regend that song remembers my lovely wife Joy Kayitesi
Anyone else come on here to listen to this legend after hearing of his passing? the man was a character with a voice of an angel 👼 R.I.P MEATLOAF fly high ❤️
This was where I ran to first. This is the best one.
I've been playing this song often in the latest years, it's been my all time favorite. I'm playing it again.
Yes here i am
Nah we just came by straight chilling unrelated to his passing completely.
I did can not belive he s gone. RIP Meatloaf
I have said it before that he is the only singer who can take any of his videos and turn it into a full-length cinema movie.
A unique voice, an incredible stage presence, he was more than just a singer or a performer... he was a modern storyteller. Thank you Meatloaf for making my life more colourful and dreamy. My dad is still one of your biggest italian fan... and so do I.
Beautiful
Wonderful wonderful🌹🌸💮🌺🌹🌹🌷
Yes. Storytelling was his art for sure.
Amen!!
Amen.
Beautiful tribute. Amen
Beautifully put. I was lucky to grow up in the ‘90s and rock out to his amazing songs in that era!
Well said brother
If you grew up in the late 70’s and 80’s his music would be in the soundtrack of your life. RIP Mr Aday
Bat out of hell is now in heaven. Poetic end of his life.
Growed up in the 90s, he is anyway a Legend
His music (and Jim Steinmans) IS the soundtrack of my life! RIP.

Meatloaf: Most underrated emotional ballads performance of all time.
Jim Steinman: Most underrated poetic genius.
👍🏻👍🏻🥳🥳🥳🥳😍
Its not underrated in early '90's was a top song, for me one of the best ballads of that time, i remember i was very impressed every time i was listening to it. Even now with 150 million vews you cant say it underrated
An amazing combination 🥂🍾
I've always loved Meat Loaf. 🌹
Jim Steinman is a musical genious.
I remember as a kid this dominated the UK charts, what a tune, what an artist - RIP Marvin!
Rest In Heavenly Peace🙏🤍🕊🙏💙
They broke the mold when they made Meat Loaf! No one like him in all of music. What a passionate performer and amazing voice. Thanks for the memories Meat. RIP
meatloaf wasn't made of mold, very disrespectful to say at this time, rip in peaces to a giant in the game
Just SO sad he never got got money that he deserved. And just as he was coming back with a TV show, Covid got him. RIP. Just heard it in news.
Hi
Hi Wendy, how are you doing
Legends never die, they live on forever and ever.
Well said
Damn straight. Legends never die!
Meatloaf is one of the few artistes across all genres that tells the story with his voice. You can feel the anger, the pain, the fear, the joy, the loss and the victories all in his voice. He’s a complete singer.
Opera does that to you.
opera does have some blind spots in the vocal range that metal styles perfected. Check out king diamond. The dude is a wizard.
The Orson Welles of rock
True that
Happy Birthday in Heaven 🖤
Meat is a legend, but it's Jim Steinman's lyrics that have reached immortality. Embracing the operatic and the absurd, the sentimental and the human, his lyrics are three act plays. RIP to one of rock's greatest lyricists.
Amen. ❤🙏😀❤
Just as I thought, going all the way was only a start.
Freddie Mercury also leaned towards the operatic in Bohemian Rhapsody. Was that before or after this song?

@@TheNosferatu666 that’s true he did, and Jim Steinman is an amazing song writer. I meant of how Meatloaf put emotion into that story telling. I listen to people who cover the song and it’s no disrespect to them but they can’t capture the emotions of the lyrics.

It almost makes you forget Michael Bay directed the music video.
as a kid growing up, meatloaf was one of my parents' favorite singers. I'm now 26. lost my dad when i was 18 and i lost my mom Christmas eve 2022. holding my necklace with her ashes in it in my hand while listening to this for the first time in years, just brought tears. tears of pain of losing my father as a teenager and recently losing my mother as a young adult, but tears of joy of the times all 3 of us would listen to music in the living room every so often.
