I'm still here in 2024 & this song still gives me goosebumps. I met a lot of frogs & then met a prince he's not perfect we all have flaws but he's perfect for me & I would do anything for him apart from henious crimes & I love him dearly he's brought me a stable life where I've never had & I have showing him my appreciating & grace & love for showing me that great loving loyal people are still out there, it gave me a bit more trust in society. I am just old enough to have experienced both of Meat Loaf's most successful eras, and knowing that he hit bottom in between makes the second one so incredibly sweet to have witnessed. I love that multiple generations have embraced the man and the music he created along with Jim Steinman from their hearts and souls.
Regardless of one's favorite music genre, it's very hard for me to comprehend how someone cannot love this song, in particular. It is a sweeping and majestic masterpiece.
He truly made an impact that is uniquely his. A true one of a kind performer.

When this song hit the airwaves I was 15 years old and stuck in a mental facility because the doctors had convinced my mom that I was faking my headaches because I was depressed. The teens in my ward got so excited when it came on the radio. Everyone would suddenly shift gears and start singing along! It was the weirdest time of my life.
I finally got out when I collapsed in the gym and it was revealed that I really was going through intense pressure on my brain. Mom pulled me out immediately and apologized for not believing me.
