My older brother gave me a Meat Loaf cassette back in the 80's when I was a teenager, he was 16 years older. I was hooked. In the 90's I heard that Meat Loaf was coming out with another album and when I 1st heard the piano intro I was hooked. Sorry to burst your bubble, but Michael Aday aka Meat Loaf, had some serious issues over the years with cocaine and alcohol. He overcame them and I believe he was sober for a long time by the time he died. Drug addiction is a disease which is all too easy to catch in the world of Rock & Roll. No shame, though! Same with obesity… we have to stop judging and shaming people for physical and mental (and sometimes both) illnesses that they have to battle very hard to overcome and often just can’t do anything about! From everything I know about him Meat Loaf was a good man who was devoted to his family, especially his children, and a very hard-working artist whose recordings and performances will live on!

Ruhe in Frieden, deine Musik wird unvergessen bleiben
Will never forget such a talent on stage . We will always miss Meat , but have his music to remember him and Steinman for .
The most underrated artist of this century. This should have been made into a movie.
You are 100% right. He is an outstanding artist, a classic painter of music. I admire him. Not only for this song.
Michael Wiblinger ..
He does have a movie
It was called to hell and back the meatloaf story
One of my online local Facebook friends who is 20 years older than I seriously asked me who meat loaf was 40mn ago. He posted a status saying if you were going on a cruise or stranded on an island and could only bring 4 artist cds with you to listen to who would you choose ? I chose AeroSmith, red hot chilli peppers, Nirvana and Meat loaf.
He seriously asked me who meat loaf is.....how does he not know he is nearly 20 yr older than I am!!
R. I. P Meatloaf, I had the greatest pleasure listening to your music. You'll be sadly missed but your music will live on for generations. ♥
This shows that real talent dosent need makeup, audiotune or short skirts, his talent is flawless.
Nobody makes music like this anymore I grew up in a magical time
Great Actor and Musician who is largely underrated for his true and real talents. Loved him in Fight Club. You can see his enormous passion in this performance.
i thought rule 1 was we didnt talk about fight club lol
@@unholysaint1987 how about at Rocky Horror Show? 😊😎
God Bless you sir. We’re sorry to hear of your passing. You left your mark on earth and it was a better place with your talent. RIP
I cried, shed a tear for meatloaf when I heard the news of his passing. I didn't cry for my grandparents when they died. He got me through high school and impacted my life with his music. I am so grateful for meatloaf.
He gave my goosebumps, goosebumps. RIP. Your talent will live, on forever. 💜

Such a beautiful performance!! Such passion and expression is felt by the viewers. Deepest condolences to his friends and family. He will live on forever in his music.
God! Mr. Loaf is an icon. Once every ten years he comes out of the wood work and blows us away with things like this! No autotune and his song is like a modern day opera. He gets it done!
Nick and Chris Dobos you’d never believe his background was in acting. Before a musician he was an actor
I always got chills watching this - mesmerizing. Larger than life.
Awesome song! This song remind me of my first love! We both hurt one another. He still on in my heart!
still listening and i'm 73....great music and memories!!!!
A year more experienced than meatloaf himself then
