Back in the early 00s, I was watching a rerun of "Armageddon" at three AM with my sick father. Dad had just fallen asleep on the couch and as I watched him breathe this song came on. Even though this is a romantic song, I felt it was appropriate for that moment. His heart was failing and I often watched his breathing when he slept to make sure he was still with us. He died not long after that and this song always reminds me of him.

My grandfather Love this movie and every time I see it I always will think about him. He was such a great man He raised me and when they played this song in my wedding It broke my heart I can't help a cry everytime I hear it. However this video was a great reminder of how important being a father is. Having my 2 boys changed my life I only wish he was here to see it. Thank you

It's a touching scene but also a stupid move on Harry's part when he tears the mission patch off his arm and says "Give this to Truman". He didn't know how well that patch was sewn on his sleeve! He easily could have tore a hole in his suit, depressurized and then you get instantly dead Harry Stamper and AJ's has to set off the bomb anyway! 💣

This was a great movie back in 98, I was in the navy at the time, if I remember it came out in July and I deployed for 6 months in July right before it came out. I was so mad I missed it, but got to see it in Rota Spain just before I came home. I was very happy

Fun fact, it was originally written or Celine Dion but she didn't want it for some reason. Although I'm sure her rendition would have been absolutely beautiful, I'm not sorry this song went to Aerosmith in the end becasue they made it an epic, badass one.
The characters in this film were some of the funniest, well acted and well everything was so well put together, rockhound was my favourite. But good old michael Clarke Duncan had the best line, Yo Harry you the man 😃😃😍

This song reminds me of the many hours and days I spent sitting beside my girlfriend's hospital bed after her very bad car accident. Where a driver had cut off another vehicle causing that vehicle to hit her driver side front end. That sent her going across the median only to flip and then roll six times before coming to a stop down an embankment. She spent almost a year in the hospital in a medical induced coma because of swelling in her brain and numerous broken bones. The doctors gave her a 45% chance she would pull through with no effects of the wreck. Through countless prayers and holding her hand and telling her to fight her injuries and how much I loved her. And playing this song for her. She woke up one day to smile up at me as I stood there crying like a baby. She then said yes, I would love to marry you. After I had asked her the day before if she would be my wife. We danced to this song at our wedding. She came through her ordeal without any side effects from her wreck. Every now and then we will turn the lights down low and dance to this song.

It's a touching scene but also a stupid move on Harry's part when he tears the mission patch off his arm and says "Give this to Truman". He didn't know how well that patch was sewn on his sleeve! He easily could have tore a hole in his suit, depressurized and then you get instantly dead Harry Stamper and AJ's has to set off the bomb anyway! 💣

30 Aug 2024 and this song has been on loop for over an hour! No one can carry this song like Steve Tyler...and his daughter played the lead actress to boot. Both the soundtrack and the movie are simply amazing and very satisfying! The powerful closing tagline - "Everyone can be a Father but it takes a lot to be a Daddy" - caps this masterpiece and blew me away!!
The movie armageddon was one of my favorites in 1998, it was the first time I had seen Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis, and Michael Clark Duncan in a movie and I loved it I also loved the soundtrack I don't wanna miss a thing I listen to this song till this day ❤️ it's emotional and very exciting ❤️

This was a great movie back in 98, I was in the navy at the time, if I remember it came out in July and I deployed for 6 months in July right before it came out. I was so mad I missed it, but got to see it in Rota Spain just before I came home. I was very happy

I have always found this movie a bit silly, but I just burst out crying watching the end of this video. Perhaps because now I am a father to a daughter myself.
Concider the fact that earth has numerous hundreds thousands of crators due to comet or space rock whatever you want call it strikes, its not inconceivable to think it couldnt happen again, rest assured we would know about it prior and would have to set in motion something on these lines if not a ground to air laser or something we have the technoligy to do so just a thought

This song reminds me of the many hours and days I spent sitting beside my girlfriend's hospital bed after her very bad car accident. Where a driver had cut off another vehicle causing that vehicle to hit her driver side front end. That sent her going across the median only to flip and then roll six times before coming to a stop down an embankment. She spent almost a year in the hospital in a medical induced coma because of swelling in her brain and numerous broken bones. The doctors gave her a 45% chance she would pull through with no effects of the wreck. Through countless prayers and holding her hand and telling her to fight her injuries and how much I loved her. And playing this song for her. She woke up one day to smile up at me as I stood there crying like a baby. She then said yes, I would love to marry you. After I had asked her the day before if she would be my wife. We danced to this song at our wedding. She came through her ordeal without any side effects from her wreck. Every now and then we will turn the lights down low and dance to this song.
