I can SO, SO relate to you, sweetheart!! Everything you've said...I can relate to, I can feel it and remember it! 😥 I think you're in the UK, yes? I LOVE it there, and lived there for a very brief time in the early 90's...Meatloaf takes me back to my childhood, in the 70's, and to a time that , although it, in reality was not that innocent, at least FELT innocent - unlike nowadays, when the US is boiling over with psychotic, conspiracy theory driven freaks who THINK they prefer Autocracy - and are itching to use their guns on the rest of us to try and make that happen - because they're so oblivious to the fact that they're being used and manipulated that they are, literally, BLIND to the fact that, should our democracy crumble, the Autocratic government that will follow will be just as horrific for them and as awful to their lives as it will be for those of us who are desperately terrified of it and who've spent their/our lives trying to vote, protest and do acts of activism against it! OMG! I'M SO SORRY, SWEETHEART!!🙏 Please, excuse my tangent! It's just that my memories of listening to Meatloaf when my older Sis would babysit me in the mid 70's , while my parents would be out on a Saturday night, with the doors all open in our house, and the warm summer air so lovely....it was just so, so different than today.... Meatloaf ALWAYS takes me back to that! The song - HIS version (so much better than Celine Dion's version!) - "its all coming back to me now"n just turns on my faucet and makes me cry like crazy! Anyway, sweetheart, I'm so sorry - even though we are strangers - for the loss of your mom - sorry, mum, and I wish you comfort. I also wish you Happiness, Joy, Love, Abundance and Safety and Good Health for you and all of your family and friends, throughout the New Year and beyond! 🙏 Enjoy your beautiful country, as well! I am so envious! My husband and I have decided that, if at all possible (i.e., if we will be accepted..), if/when our country and it's democracy collapses, or even if it doesn't, once our financial situation allows for us to do more than vacation there, that we'd like to move to the UK. We've both always loved other countries, (I've lived in a few, for short times), have mostly foriegn friends and both have multiple family members who are ex-pats, and live in various countries - from Eastern and Western Europe, to South and Southeast Asia, including, but not only, India and China and other East Asian Countries, to Latin America... including South America, i.e. Argentina, Mexico - and, to me, England always felt so "right"...like the place in which I should have been born, to begin with. It would be nice, however, if we could, simply, CHOOSE to go to live there...as opposed to RUN there, because of a collapsing democracy and/or a civil war...🙏 Anyway, sorry, again, for the tangent! SMH! Please, have a beautiful day! I hope its not raining too badly there! I know many of you don't like the rain...here, in Los Angeles, many of us ( myself, especially, as drought or no drought, I've ALWAYS loved rain ) are, at the very least, grateful to get it, since it can go so long (years, sometimes) without any rain ! Love, from across the pond, Michele ☺️
How this man made it to 74, I will never know. If you were lucky enough to see him live back in the late 70s and early 80s, by the ends of his concerts he had given so much of himself he looked like he would drop dead on the spot. He put on some of the greatest concerts I've ever, ever seen. Rest easy, Mr. Loaf.
1974 - 1970s 1980s You are mentally lazy when you cannot manage to write the years correctly. Do you not know how a calendar functions? Besides the 70s was almost 1950 years ago
Wife and I were blessed to see him in the 90’s. Out of the 6-7 bands that night he was by far the best. It was just like the videos. He will be missed. RIP

At 57 and in retrospection: Nostalgia and good music from the 70s does not get any stronger or better than this. I feel honored to have lived as this band's contemporary (yes, Meat, Jim Steinman, and all the ensemble). Thank the heavens for this album gracing my time on this planet 😎

Over the top, exaggerated, theatrical, histrionic, over blown, pseudo operatic and ever so slightly kitsch. And that's why its fucking brilliant. Any one of their songs is guaranteed to brighten up a grey day. In the car, shouting the words, and goodbye stress.
As I wake to the sad news, I am trying to choose a song to share on my other socials. I love them all, all will forever be played . Meatloaf Rip 🙏 😢 THANKS for rocking me throughout my childhood and adult life. Legends never die , they live on throughout the classic music their known for 🥰💔🎤🎵🎶

The greatest music ever in the history of man. A song from my generation. I remember that time when emotions were running high where anything was possible in life. We all wanted to celebrate life everyday and all listened to all these magnificent creations. 35 years later, I can reminisce of that time of my life that went by too fast. Hanging around with so many friends and joking laughing with all the comradery. It happened like the blink of an eye and now I sometimes ponder what all my friends are doing these days in their lives. I am certain that there will never be music of this greatness ever again.

The only cast member in RHPS that could stand up to tim Curry's stage presence.
For sure, you took the words right out of my mouth! 😁
Got to be hell of a show in heaven tonight with The Bat himself landing there. RIP Meat Loaf, an artist and performer without compare.
Love it 😂 cheered me up after coming to terms with his passing 😢🙏🏽❤️
Oh so true. A bat out of hell, into the Heavens ✨ most certainly 💔 You will be missed, Meatloaf. Gone, never to be * forgotten * 💋
You took the words right out of my mouth. It's gotta be cuz I've been missing You 💋😘🎶🙏🏻💔⭐🌹🎤
Imagine kicking it in heaven then all of a sudden you hear this song! You look over and it's meatloaf singing with back up angels.
@@arapahosundancer that would be wild. Right. Another blast from the past You took the words right outta my mouth, Ohh🎤 It must've been when you were kissing me. Also Paradise by the dashboard light. Oh you gotta do what you can and let mother nature do the rest, well we were merely 17 and we were barely dressed. Love them and him. REST PEACEFULLY SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF OUR DEAR FATHER GOD 🙏🏻 IN HEAVEN ABOVE 💋💋💋💋✌️
Meatloaf is the only rocker I know of that can wear suspenders and still look like a rocker.
I'm 62 now and can still sing along every word. Stone cold classic.
I agree with you!! Sexy 😗
Yes, So glad I'm not the only woman that always thought Meatloaf was very sexy, was probably sooooooo great at pleasing the ladies !!!!!!!!!!
@@bernadettemintmier9618 you got that right he is sexy and he probably didn't know how to please the ladies I went to see him in concert a few times he was awesome
I am 42... and I can also sing along every lyric... even if some songs were released before my time ^_^
Cue one big double-take from yours truly! But all's well... in England we call them 'braces'. Suspenders are rather different (look it up!)
My Dearest Jim Steinman , Fly high and Rest In Peace .
Rest in peace my friend
You took the words out of my mouth
Rest in Peace and may perpetual light shine upon you Meatloaf, such a classic song! Condolences to his family! Another legend gone!
R.I.P. Jim Steinman. There will never be another like you.
RIP to a legend. I used to sit with a little cassette listening to his songs over and over again as a child. My parents loved his music and I fell in love with it. Brings back great moments of singing it in the car with my mum who is no longer here also
I can SO, SO relate to you, sweetheart!!
OMG! I'M SO SORRY, SWEETHEART!!🙏
Please, excuse my tangent!
Enjoy your beautiful country, as well!
It would be nice, however, if we could, simply, CHOOSE to go to live there...as opposed to RUN there, because of a collapsing democracy and/or a civil war...🙏
Anyway, sorry, again, for the tangent!
@Tim M I have the Bat Out Of Hell CD have the player, can not bring myself to listen to the whole thing tonight. Need pauses between the tears.
Heck yah
The first time I ever heard this song was when I was at a disco in the 70s. I’ve loved it and Meatloaf since that night. RIP Meatloaf.
Loaf.
Had to be hooked to oxygen tanks after most shows
1974 - 1970s 1980s
You are mentally lazy when you cannot manage to write the years correctly.
Do you not know how a calendar functions?
Besides the 70s was almost 1950 years ago
@@andrew_koala2974 what? :D
I was a baby in the 70's, but I saw him in 2012 and he still did the same thing. He was an amazing performer. There will never be another like him. 💔
Wife and I were blessed to see him in the 90’s. Out of the 6-7 bands that night he was by far the best. It was just like the videos. He will be missed. RIP
OMG I love this man-- my youth.... 1978 I am 16.... In love , this album blew me away! I am now 58 and start tearing. up about lost loves! But god gave me my AWESOME generation!🙂👍
Right there with you! Midwest high school class of 80! It is great to listen to the songs now, but there was nothing like listening to them in 78, 79 and 80!
I'm listening to this song now with 16 years, thanks to my parents
Felix Schätzl I’m 18 jamming out to meatloaf because of my dad. He graduated ‘80 too I believe.
Right beside you.
Angus, my man, think about all the good lays you had instead! Have a good night! Liam...
At the grand old age of 63….this is still my best of the best album. Never get tired of blasting it out…..
My husband thinks I’m crazy to love Meatloaf. Which means when I listen to him I do it all full blast!
Is there another way to listen to the loaf?
That's the only way to listen to meatloaf full blast love love love 💜💜💜💜
I do the same to my husband. I love music and I like it Loud!!!!
Lol
Excellent.
I was 12 when this LP came out... 55 now..... and it's still in my collection of favorite LPs.... RIP MEATLOAF !!!!
Same here sandy .. makes you feel old lol . First cassette I bought for my car when I passed my test . Driving about at all hours blasting the legend out 🙂
56 here. I remember it was all over the radio and my dad played it in the car. Miss those times.
I’m 56. Went through the album on record, cassette and I don’t know how many cd’s I’ve worn out of it, maybe 3 😊 RIP Meat. Now you’re reunited with Jim, and your parents ✝️
Same here I'm 56 I was at boarding school when it was released. We had it one cassette, by the end of the year we'd knackered about copies of it. It's still in my all time top 10 albums of all time. There's not one weak song on the whole album.
Same!
Now that's what I call a tune! Take note modern day musicians, music is suppose to be fun, joyous, uplifting and doesn't take itself too seriously. Thanks Meatloaf for the memories, rest in peace big guy 🙏
RIP
Woke up this morning with these songs stuck in my head as well as others and started crying
Loved meatloaf because of my dad
Got in trouble in KINDERGARTEN for saying bat out of hell was my favorite. 😂😂my friend said Metallica
The 90s were different
MeatLoaf will live forever through his amazing music... was a pleasure growing up with this talented singer and his incredible music..
Every kid I knew had The Bat Out Of Hell Album from MeatLoaf.... RIP
Meatloaf wasn’t just a band it was an experience!
Meatloaf and Jim Steinman were one of the most legendary duos in music history! To Bad they are both gone! The music will live on! RIP. MEAT AND Jim
R.i.p. meat love your music !
Every Meat Loaf fan better be here tonight! RIP to a legend!
What a passionate talented artist. may he rest in peace.
Meatloaf is his own musical genre 💋
Jim Steinman is his own genre.
@@JBofBrisbane One of a kind perfection
Absolutely! IDK what he would sound like without steinman
Seen it described as Wagnerian Rock...
Amen to that!
They just don’t make songs like this anymore
Amen to that.
I am 37 and Niagara up in Kansas in the 90s with my dad blasting this in the garage while we worked on cars. It’s so many good memories your damn right they don’t make it like this anymore. But I am myself a music producer now, and I try to keep it as real as I can. But goddamn if this isn’t heaven.
The record companies did not know what to make of album concepts like Bat Out Of Hell back then either.
You took the word right out of my mouth
Lol
Can't believe he struggled to get a record deal, incredible singer and performer may God bless meat loaf
Thank God someone was wise enough to sign him.....
Imagine today. None of these people would have made it in this plastic surgery times. He just made us all feel ok.
Elvis struggled to get a record deal....its a mystery what it takes to get discovered!!!
Consist persistence and pure talent.......as well as luck i assume lets be thankful he made it cause i dont want to think about a world with out his music.....also thanks Jim as well
1977, it took that summer by STORM, will never forget it, "Bat Our of Hell" top 3 albums of all time! Not only because of its musical content but what it did to a nation, it captivated it, NEVER get's old !!!!
Godspeed Meatloaf. What a fantastic voice this man had. Like no other. Love Bat out of Hell. This man did everything at 110 mph, he was all heart. 🥺
I actually think he was magnetic and very attractive back in the day.
@@sandradewar4000 absolutely, so sexy
He sang not only with his voice, but with his face. The Knight of the woeful countenance.🧡 but in a manly way.
My mom rocked this album on 8-track in our family station Wagon for my whole childhood! So now I can sing like every old Meatloaf song! My friends think I'm crazy but meatloaf rocks! I'll always be a fan and think of my mom whenever I hear it! She's a BADASS too! 🎉😂😂😂😊🎉
Love it! I was a teen in the late 80's and these songs bring me rigjt back, belting it out with Meatloaf in the car
Should have. Saved the 8track. Worth money 💰.
Your mom had great taste 😅

@MUFC Congratulations on your Soccer... I wish you well. But, what does that have to do with my comment on the rock band "Meatloaf" ???
Me too 😂🥰😂
Over the top, exaggerated, theatrical, histrionic, over blown, pseudo operatic and ever so slightly kitsch. And that's why its fucking brilliant. Any one of their songs is guaranteed to brighten up a grey day. In the car, shouting the words, and goodbye stress.
Well put. Just bought BOH CD at WAlmart 2 months ago for $5 CAD = $2.50 USD. Great bargain!
Yes, take me back to 1977. Eight track rolling, car windows down on a beautiful summer day. This man, his voice......heaven.
Jim Steinman . . . The Prince of Excess!
Amen! 🥰
Yes. Absolutely brilliant. Yum!

Iam listening right now. Love this song. Rest in peace.
Well I'm 15 and mostly I only listen to 80's and 70's because that is where the best music came from
i am 14 and i value this kinda music more than anything else
