- Cars have always been part of my life and this is why I love Bangkok car meets, this is Tofuya Underground 2023. Thailand has a rich car culture, and Bangkok's is of course off the hook. Join me as I give you a curated tour of the Tofuya Underground 2023 car meet. As always, this car meet is packed with JDM cars of all types. This being Thailand, there are plenty of non JDM cars that are powered by Japanese motors, and all are welcome at this show. Here we see everything from Mazda FD RX7 to Honda NSX, Toyota AE86 Trueno, Bosozoku cars and bikes, and much more. The last thing I expected to see in Bangkok was a right-hand drive DeLorean. Let's walk around and see what everyone brought this year.

@LifewithSerg yeah. Last year was at Tofuya Petrol station? I remembered I've watched that video. I drove from Malaysia and conquer the Mae Hong Son loop then to Nan loop
@shauntan2266 now that sounds like a great trip. Maybe I didn’t go to Tofuya last year. They had a show the same time at the same location, but it was called Sunday Ride and Drive. It was magnificent.

WOW man... That is a shock, the white sedan is a Aussie Holden VL Commodore, looks like kymhaniford beat me to it, that engine though is not RB30DET that's an LS with a big manifold plumbed into a turbo, very shocked to see that over there haha... also Chad's E30 has the same paint it just had the clear plastic coating removed which was dull... amazing how its protected the paint... so good
Yah, I thought that was a V8 there. Shocked it’s a Commodore, here in mango land. Hey, I’m coming to AUS next year! Need to check it out. I don’t care for the 1/4 hood on his E30. Too ricer for my tastes.

Let me be real with you. The cat scene here is cool, BUT it was much more diverse in the US. Don’t get me wrong, it’s bad ass here. I just prefer a bit more variety. I miss all the redneck trucks in Texas and just general variety.
NOW… let’s talk about quality of life. CANNOT COMPARE TO THE US. So much better here. Almost no crime. No one complaining that you misgendered their confused ass. People here are very kind and generally let everyone do what they want to do. ZERO entitlement and welfare state philosophy here. The woke politics that have ruined so many western countries, simply so not exist here.

Car at 4:50 is an Australian 1987 Holden VL Calais TURBO (Commodore)... As new it come with a 150 kW (201 hp) turbocharged RB30ET Nissan engine with a Garrett turbo.
Really? An RB30ET? I always thought that most of the Holden Commodore models were powered by GM motors.
@@LifewithSerg most are Serg but Holden and Nissan did a run of cars commodores powered by Nissan and they Fly and I meen FLY
@LifewithSerg Yeah mate they had 3 different choice of engines, they had a NA Nissan RB30, RB30DET as a factory option and also a Holden 308 V8 👍
@@BADQ RB30ET , not DET. DET is twin cam turbo EFI. The RB30 was SOHC only.

Brother, I hope you do a story on natives how they feel about forigeners moved to Thailand that caused price of goods and housing skyrocketing to get some ideas to avoid certain places. Perhaps in the FUTURES, I might relocated there as well.

Quick question regarding the GT-R. That is replica built from a fire damaged Alfa chassis or did I misunderstood what you said? I would like to hear more on how that was done? Is the build documented online somewhere? Thanks!
Alfa chassis? No, this is a genuine R 35 GTR. It caught fire on a tie highway about a year and a half ago due to an oil leak. As you can see, was extensively burned. But as you can see from this video, he has rebuilt the car. You can look on his RUclips channel “Heng’s garage” for the story and the build process.

I also have a Toyota Supra MKIV to sell. Not perfect condition yet, but with a perfected overhauled engine with 840 horsepower and steering wheel on the right in black. Maybe you know someone in Thailand who is interested?
You can’t (legally) import used cars into Thailand that’s why they are so expensive here. Look on Facebook at “JB photographer” he posts all the events for the month of the last days of the prior month. They’ll be one big post September the end of December that has all the car events for this month.

As I researched Thai residents can import cars from foreign countries, but have to pay high prices for the taxes and the company which is bringing them to Thailand. I already found such a company, but they never answered me.
