- The Thai people love their cars, and they really love the 1990's cars. It's true, Thailand has massive love for 90's car culture. Today I take you to "90's Rewind", this Thailand car meet had the best 1990's cars. With over 300 cars in attendace, there was no shortage of aswesome 1990's cars. Of course a few other decaded snuck in as well, and that's just fine with me. I love cars, so join me for a guided tour of Thai car culture on a very hot sunday morning in Bangkok. All the favorites are here today, Supra, RX-7, Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, Subaru and so much more. There is massive love for 90's car culture here in Bangkok, and all over Thailand as well.

That Mazda called 121. Arale is main character of the comic Dr Slump (you met her before, that girl statue with baseball cap at the temple in Samut Prakarn)by Akira Toriyama who also wrote Dragonball. He drew one of the best mechanical design and he definitely loves cars! Every vehicle he drew was very detailed compared to simplistic cartoony character.

0:20 Tues morning Oct 10th. 2023. Great morning to you Serg. I had to watch your video twice. 🎉 it was definitely fantastic. I can see how you can get lost in the array of collections of cars. All of them are so amazing in their own right. I totally understand geeking out. They have some of the best cars from our high school time. I always wanted one in school but unfortunately wasn't able to afford its maintenance, and that included insurance. A lot of insurance companies wouldn't insure me at a decent rate.
When I was younger our family would go to the monster trucks shows and drool over the new big trucks. But my favorite place was going to the auto show. In Anaheim California. That was definitely a sight to behold. 🎉 seeing all of those amazing cars. Now they have come back full circle ⭕. Maybe you'll find the car 🚗 of your dreams.

All of these are usually once a year events. You have to look on Facebook to try to find them. It’s not easy if you don’t speak or read Thai.

ok I guess they do ratrods more like ratbugs i'm not a massive fan of Vw beetles turning it into a ratrod Hmmm I know the inventor of VW was the same person who created Porsche which is one of my favorite car makers I love the porsche 917 lots of history and very fast, cool design. out of this video I like the white mercedes reminds me of an Hot wheels type car and also Rally colin mcrae car I'm amazed it's street legal Colin Mcrae was an amazing drive like Ken Bloc super skilled. if i was going to buy an hotrod I would pick an 1957 Chevy Bel Air two tone I wouldn't pick red and white because it reminds me of the stephen king film maybe sky blue and white Cool videos Serg keep up the good work.
The Porsche 917 is one of my favorite cars as well. Along with a Ferrari 312 P, they are some of the greatest race cars. If you look at my videos, and search for “hot rod” you’ll find more variety of hot rods here. Glad you enjoy my automotive videos! They don’t usually do well on my channel, but I love making.

i don't know about need but i think that collab would be great - different personalities but both with a love/obsessions for cars.
The 1st. Integra was DC2 and the later was DC5 and the little Mazda was 121 and the rustic bug may be powered by Subaru engine which has gear box adapter kit to the bug's gearbox available.
I was kind of wondering if the bug was powered by a Subaru flat four. Thanks for the info. My JDM car knowledge is not that strong.

All these fancy souped up cars. Are they all mechanics cause I cannot imagine how much $$ they spent on them especially if they pay others to do the modifications. Expensive or cheap labor? Also, is there an official race track where they can floor them? My dad's ex boss's wife once owned a Nissan Cefiro and she drove it in the highway with the parking brake on. I find that story hard to believe.😂. One thing I noticed about older cars, their designs are very different. I used to be able to tell which make and model when I was little but these days many of them all look alike. I especially love the old Volvo with mini wipers on their headlights!
Labor is very expensive here in Thailand. Plus, like many other cat owners all over the world, majority of these people work on their own cars.

All these events are basically once a year. However, there’s usually at least two or three events every single weekend. The trick is finding them. Most of them are on Facebook, but everything is in Thai.

I'm more of an old muscle car kinda guy, are there any of those in Thailand? My high school car in the 80's was a Black 1977 Firebird Formula 400. My 1979 Mustang Pace car would almost fit in there though.
Not a lot of muscle cars but in Thailand you will see EVERYTHING and many times where you would least expect it. From the streets to the malls to a little shack out in the countryside to coffee shops. Incredible car and motorcycle culture.
I’ve seen 69 dodge chargers, 65 and 67 mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds, etc. However, they’re typically around in very small numbers. These are cars of all been imported at some point.
You can check out my prior car video, and also look at my video that has “custom hot rod show” in the title. That one had affair variety of hot rods and some muscle.

Yes, you cannot import a secondhand card to Thailand. I ah w heard there are ways around it, but it usually requires cutting the car up, or something a lot more complicated.
