This was an intense experience. I’ve personally don’t double the speed in my own cars, and motorcycles, while I lived in the US. However, even adjust 80 mph on this little toothpick on water, it was just frightening.

It’s a very straightforward set up. Just a throttle and the long tail with the propeller. Definitely takes quite a bit of skill to control this thing. The video does not do the speed, and Tara, of this experience justice. Lol.
Thanks that DJI wireless microphone system works really well. At the time of editing this, I didn’t have the right software to be able to reduce the noise. If I was editing the video right now, I could completely isolate my voice and remove all the noise. At the same time, some of that noise gives the video its appeal.

This was a private shop that I went to through a connection. If you want to see the races, go to the Cobra canal in Bangkok. They have them every weekend.
That is a crazy experience, I would say it is not a great thing for the environment, but most things are not great for the environment in Thailand. Still want to do it!!!!

Man that’s crazy. Those are some serious, seaweed choppers. I’d love to see the propeller on the end of that shaft drive. Must look like three or four Meatcleaver on a hub! That’s way too fast for no safety gear for me a chicken. I’d be content in a kayak going down that waterway with no motor just a paddle. you’re a madman!
This was so exciting, but I will never do it again. It is extremely dangerous. Safety gear won’t help you much when you’re thrown from a boat like this at 150 km an hour.

This is a shop that works a different boats, and vehicles. It is not open for people to show up and ask for rides. I would highly recommend you go to the cobra canal on a weekend, as they tend to run race is there on a regular basis.

They don’t really sell rides for this. My best recommendation for you is to go to a place called Cobra Canal in Bangkok on a weekend. There’s always races there, and if you ask, maybe somebody will give you a ride. Please do tip them generously for, their kind gesture

Just so you know, this isn’t something you can just show up and do. You’ll need to make connections. None of these shops are just going to stop their workflow to take people out.

Sadly, there’s been quite a few accidents, where they actually did take flight. All the weights in the back and little on the front. If you look up accidents on these boats, they’re pretty horrific looking.
It was absolutely crazy! I don’t know how I didn’t lose my phone. I had it on a mini tripod, which is what I use for all my videos. I’ve driven cars, and ridden motorcycles at 250 KPH, but this was much more exhilarating.
Iam live in chiang rai but i very very need to try this boat too, in the north we just have mountain and forest but in the north the weather is cool than BKK. ❤
ok that went A LOT faster than I expected. Most videos are disappointing when you actually watch them (scary turbulence! bird flies off with baby!) but when I watched this I actually said HOLY SH*T! out loud
I was legitimately scared of that last boat. It doesn’t really show in the video, but we started drifting sideways and basically hydroplaning a little bit.
That was awesome! *That definitely beat's Chad his video btw. I was guessing 140/150, and it wouldn't surprise me that you did that speed. That one drone shot of the acceleration was dope AF.
We might’ve gone faster than 130, it was ridiculously fast. I was really fortunate that my friend brought his drone and recorded those shots. They added a great element to the video. Glad you enjoyed it. Chad’s videos were a big part of my decision to move to Thailand. 😎👍
