I appreciate your often-repeated advice to avoid trying to treat eye problems ourselves. It cannot be stressed enough. I’ve dealt with glaucoma (after being treated for 18 months it was determined that I just had thick corneas) macular degeneration (at 50 I was the youngest patient in the waiting room by 20 years) 2 retinal tears, 2 vitrectomy ( the plural is ??) and 2 cataract surgeries. I can’t say I enjoyed any of this. I particularly found odd the 7 injections of Avastin into the eyeball to treat macular degeneration, but I found little of it painful. What I learned: 1) get checked immediately if you have vision issues beyond squinting because you need to update your prescription 2) Never, Ever attempt to treat any vision issues yourself beyond a hot pack for a stye or artificial tears for dryness. The risk is just not worth it. Thanks for stressing this, doc.
I had a stye for more than two months which bothered me a lot at work but when I tried the warm compress and eyelid exercise my stye disappeared. Thank you, Doc👍
What I do which really helps is the second you feel a style coming on, even if you can’t see it yet, immediately put in eye drops specifically meant for style treatment. Do this about 3 times a day. Apply a hot compress as he said about 5-6 times a day. If you do this for about 2 days before the style has fully formed, hopefully you prevent it from growing and becoming painful. Hope this helps!!!
I have seen drops advertised for Styes over the counter but I am very suspicious that the drops are just a placebo. But either way, glad to hear it is working for you.
otc "hemoepathic" or w.e stye drops gave me the WORST headache. turned out the scientific name of the active ingredient on the box was jargon for hemlock, which is the poison they used to kill socrates. fuckin wild.
I had styes recently and warm compresses with castor oil applied overnight helped those. But then I got a chalazion at the top portion of my upper lid so it was not even close to the border of the lashes for easy draining. It was stressful and it would not go away for +5-6 months. I didn't even want to go out anymore. I tried everything under the sun including massaging. I was dreading surgery. I used every possible warm compress technique from the electrical eye patches, microwave patches, tea bags... What actually made it disappear was using one of my round makeup remover sponges and running it under really HOT water at the sink and actively applying, rewetting, applying, rewetting for at least a couple of mins at a time at least 3 times a day. I'M NOT SAYING MELT YOUR EYEBALL SO PLEASE DON'T DO THAT, but it was hot and I would apply it over my closed lid and felt the hot water go under the eyelid too. I believe that the water being hotter finally unplugged the clog and it disappeared magically. Just wanted to share cause I know how horrible they can be to live with for months and the surgery was going to be expensive and so gross. Good luck!
I got eye stye twice before. The first time i got it i really don't know what to do and it took like 2 months to heal. The second time took only 1 week to heal because i take antibiotics and did the hot compressed as many times as i can each day. I think the hot compressed help the stye to pop by its own. It's a horrible experience and i pray that anyone having it right now will heal soon 🙏🏻
So I've had a big chalazion on my eye for over 2 weeks and even my eyelid became super dark. I went to the pharmacy, got some tobradex and it helped with the swelling but not the discoloration or the 'ball' that remained and I was super self conscious of it and getting worried that I would have to get it removed because I DONT have much money at the moment. I found your video and did the massage and the hot compress and I'm not joking, I just woke up saw that it literally almost disappeared!! I couldnt believe it! Thank you so so much!
Warm up the back of a spoon under hot water, (touch to make sure it’s not burning hot) then apply it to the affected area. Hold it there until it’s not warm then do it again, repeat for like 10 or 15 minutes. Feels good and helps move things along. My styes and swelling resolved in a few days.
Thank you so much for this phenomenal information. Using the eyelid massage technique I managed to rid my eye from a Chalazion I had for a year, and literally after 2 days! Anyone watching these videos, know that this is gold and works legit.
Dr Allen is a GEM! I learned more in 6 minutes in the privacy of my home here than at any urgent care, ER or most family practices. KUDOS to you Dr Allen. This is a very valuable service you provided! Thank you!
This absolutely works.! I had a chalazion for over 3-4 months and warm cloth compress was not working. I got an eye mask and did warm compress 5 times a day. Even at work I used to do it. It was healing but not vanishing completely but after a week while I had the mask on and sleeping woke up to a bursted chalazion. Consistency is the key.
Hi! Did you have the eye mask on overnight or how long did you sleep with the mask on? Most of them say to do it for 10 minutes at a time. It crushes and messes up my eye brow and eye lash hairs 😂😂 but I’m curious to know because I’ve been having one on top my eyelid for almost 3 months now :( it’s not painful or pussy or red. Just a bump on my eyelid but it is visually noticeable and feels weird when touched, like a vertical shaped bump
I have had luck using a hard boiled egg wrapped in a soft cloth as a warm compress for the occasional stye 😊 helps it drain really quick because the egg shell the holds heat in for a while 😊😊😊
Incase anyone needs this, I had stye for the first time this past weekend it started, I used warm water added some salt and tiny drops of lemon. Cleaned the infection with it first and then I'd just put the warm cloth on my face. It was gone by yesterday. So I had it for 2/3 days.🖤🇿🇦
How convenient you uploaded this now. I currently have a really bad infection on my left eye. Steyes are popping up frequently and a big Chalazion is on my upper lid. The swelling is so bad that a blood vessel in my eye burst and I have a black eye. This stuff is no joke.
So glad I found your channel. I believe I have a stye, with the whitehead on the inside of my lower eyelid. Nurse practitioner prescribed antibiotic drops (Neomycin + polymyxin B). What helped me the most in your video is that most styes will heal on their own. Also, learning about the warm compresses helped.
I’m going to a dressy ladies luncheon BD party today. My first Stye! On bottom eyelid and painful. I tried a warm washcloth compress last night but like he said, it didn’t stay hot. What I want to know is how I got it?
@@user-ei8rb7sj6c Styes are caused by infected oil glands on your eyelids, which form a red bump that resembles acne. Poor hygiene, old makeup, and certain medical or skin conditions can increase your risk for styes

My stye has a small head on it. It came up relatively quickly after heat treatment. My wife advised me not to pop it...and then I found this to reinforce that. So this was very helpful. will just continue with heat treatment four times a day and hope it goes away. Thanks. Doctor Eye!
This is my first one since I was in my 20's. I am 63 right now. I think this is probably the 3rd one in my lifetime. I've been putting hot compresses on it. I've had it for a week now. It started like a headache in my eye. So I didn't think anything about it. I finally looked in the mirror one night on my way to bed. That was about4 days of the pain. That's when I seen it was swollen and red across my lid. Now the pain is gone but it is still a little swollen in the middle and not quite as red. I put the shower hot water on it every night before going to bed. I thought it was just left over from my silent migraines and regular migraines at first, since I was having that about2 weeks before the stye started. Thank you for the info.
I’m 20 this is the first time I’ve had a stye. This morning my eyelid was swollen shut. Now the swelling is down and my eyelid is very red. It’s been painful all day. I’ve been doing warm compresses. It has only been one day though I’m hoping it clears up on its own.
Hi Doc; I have had 2 chalazion's, my eye doctor recommended using a chicken egg to heat the area where the ducts are clogged. You heat it up the egg in water and then hold it on the inflamed area. The egg has mass and stays hot for a while, its also pointed on one end so you can apply the heat more directly where you need it instead of heating your entire eye ball which affects your vision for awhile. I thought it was a weird idea at first but it worked good, I actually got one of my chalazions to drain out on its own, what a relief.
I developed two chalazions a few months ago. I’ve never had any issues with my eyes until then. I had to see a specialist to have them removed. The eye specialist also said that I had blepharitis. I just figured it was the dry air in my office at work. I found your channel right about the time I was diagnosed with them. Thank you so much for recommending OcuSoft wipes! I use them all the time. I would really like to offer a piece of advice to those of you who don’t always wash your make up off at night. Please take your eye health seriously. I threw out all of my cosmetics (which you should do regularly) and switched to a new brand that doesn’t contain harsh chemicals, etc. it’s amazing what you can find on ingredient labels. I also purchased an electric eye mask (warm) that I occasionally wear for about 10 minutes. I really don’t want to have another chalazion excision done again. (There are videos here on YT showing you exactly what the procedure is like. It’s not fun!) Proper eye hygiene and routine eye exams are so important. Thank you doctor for all of your helpful advice! P.S. It was also recommended to do eyelid washes with baby shampoo (diluted with water) and a Qtip. That did not work for me as it burned too much. I’m sticking with the OcuSoft wipes!
Hi there, I’m suffering chalazion conditions over 2 years which is really bad conditions I had a surgery last year but my eye swelling didn’t get rid off fully I tried several home treatment but still remain same past 10-12 months I really wants my eye to get back to normal my chalazion eye swelling literally killing me because of the looks its very hard to explain. So, do you any home treatment that I can get rid of my eye swelling or any further surgery please just let me know thank you.
@@alifkhan1316 Yes. Only use water that has been boiled for 5 full minutes, then cool, on your eyes. Next, but eyelash shampoo in a pump bottle and a clean sterilized make up brush to wash your lids and lash line everyday, is the best prevention. However, if you get a stye, put peppermint on your stye. It will give the stye a massage feeling, with you having to do it. You can put it before sleep, it will burn a bit though, but speeds things up. I'm not a doctor though. Good luck!
A few years ago I developed a stye on one of my eyelid. Everyday it would grow bigger and I looked for remedies to get rid of it but nothing helped until I did what was my last option. I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re sensitive to pain because it’s painful af. I warmed up a spoon on the stove, waited until it cooled enough but still hot and applied it in a method of trying to pop my stye. By doing so I may have given my stye an air way cause the next day it started to shrink then it finally popped. I cleaned it out and after a few days it was completely gone. No scars, no more stye.
A partially filled hot water bottle over the warm washcloth can keep it warm for a longer duration. A bit awkward to keep in place - since it has a tendency to roll off, but it's an approach that's workable. (The "bottle" in this case is the same as one of those ice-bag things for fevers or heat stress, but filled with water that's about as hot as you can tolerate having against you for a prolonged period.)
My husband has developed several chalazions over the last few years. He’s had to have 2 surgical procedures done to remove them. He’s recently developed another one that seems to be more swollen and painful than ever. He’s been using drops prescribed by his dr and doing hot compresses to no avail. Going to the dr again tomorrow in hopes of getting some relief.
I'm on my 4th or 5th chalazion , had 2 removed surgically, but I have now my go to cure ... coconut oil !!! I simply melt down on my fingers then massage the lids with my eyes closed for around 3 minutes, then rinse, cupping really hot water in my hands , rinseing over and over , do this before you sleep because I somtimes have a little cloudy vision that last a very short time, see the difference in only a few days , no more surgeries , I've scrolled many comments looking for a remedy that works , I hope this helps you let me know below in a reply so others will be helped.
i have had the external stye a few times but this time, the internal stye is the one i have under my top eyelid and it is way more painful than the ones i’ve had before:(
Soak a black teabag for a minute in hot water. Remove teabag from water squeeze excess water out and place on the stye. Make sure teabag is warm when doing so not hot. My stye disappeared in 2 days
When he said "some may develop both types" i was about to cry. I literally just had the other one on my right eye a month ago, yesterday my left eye :(
I came across this video because I currently feel a stye quickly developing on my right lower lash. I'm in so much pain, my entire right side of my face hurts. Every time I blink, I feel a soreness that is so extreme that my dang eyeball itself hurts so bad. I will try the warm compress and look for medicated eye drops. I am praying it helps me because I feel like I can't do anything. Thank you for this video!
i have the same ish going for the past 2 days. There is no "stye" apparent but my entire eye lid is super swollen and every time I blink the outer part of my eye hurts as well as my upper brow. If u don't mind me asking, what helped you relieve urself from this torture/pain? I've been doing warm compressions and i don't feel any difference yet.
@@sams5177 until I got the hot compress and eye drops, I just had to focus on something else bc if I kept thinking about it, the more I was in pain. They have over the counter stye ointment that you can get that worked for me until I was able to see my eye doctor. My doctor ended up prescribing me some eye drops and an antibiotic. IT WORKED! Thank you so much for making such a helpfull video! I’ve been struggling with a red and bulky chalazion stye for over a week, when I came across this video. Later that same day, I was asked to do a television-interview on behalf of my company. Lucky, I did this treatment for 3 days and the stye was almost completely gone by the time I had the interview! Thank you so much, you really saved me! 🙏🏼
I had a chalazion when I was 16. Had it for months and it never went away. I went to doctors thinking they could give me a simple ointment or drops and nothing happened. Finally went to the eye doctor and they told me and my mom that I would have to get an incision . Yikes . It was so painful . They had to numb my eyelid with a long needle . I cried so much . They cut my eye lid open and got all the goo and puss out all this while keeping my eyes open , holding my moms hand while they used some device to make sure my eyes won’t close ... something similar to what dentist used to keep your mouth open to clean your teeth. That was painful . 2 years later I was 18 & grew another one and had to deal with the nightmare all over again . Fast forward to now ...I am now growing a stye on my bottom lid . I’m hoping it’s a regular stye. It’s been 2 days so far ...
Same as me! Though the first one I had was when I was 5, I had the hordeolum one and had it for 10 months. I got sent to a professional eye doctor and I tried medication, it didn't work. I had to under go surgery but luckily I was asleep so I didn't feel pain. Haven't had one since until now, I'm hoping it's a normal one, I really don't want another surgery. I am so sorry you had a painful surgery.
@@shukrifarah7354 i used to have styes very frequently. i put a drop both inside and outside the lid just to prevent any inside infections and heal faster.
Doctor, As Always you are a very Thorough Physician and I appreciate it very much, to the point that I show this video and Videos to everyone who has a question about eye problems, eyeglasses and contact lenses and other master classes you have for all of us in your back pocket.
I just had a stye inside my eye on the upper lid. I used a cream called Prid that I got at Walmart. It is a natural drawing salve that comes in a little round orange container. I put a very thin application on the OUTSIDE of my eyelid (NOT inside my eye) a couple of times the first day and it was gone by the next day. I am not allergic to anything I know of. If you are considering using this I would check the ingredients first just to make sure your not allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients. You may even want to do a small test on your skin somewhere else to check for any sensitivities or reactions, especially if you have other sensitivities. I did not have any negative side effects or issues and I have used this method a few times in the past as well.
Thank you very much for this informative video dr. my doctor prescribed me oral antibiotics and he said i should take it along with eyE drops for 10 days it's been already 5 days but no progress i hope some miracle happens and the chalazion on my eyelid disappears . I have a question though, i watched someone on youtube who suggested apple cider vinegar as an effective way to get rid of chalazions at home, is it true? I WANNA TRY IT AS WELL
Just watch your video and I have to say thank you for your information. My wife just got a chalazion stye that started yesterday and today in the morning her eye was just about closed. I told her to do the heated treatment and almost immediately it started to reduce the stye.
i’m never without a stye. i get one for a day or two, and just as that one starts to go away, i get a new one, then another, then another, and so on. it’s just turned into a pattern that nothing can get rid of. they’re always really uncomfortable and tender, and are always in random spots each time. this has been consistently happening for many months, i would even say a year. what’s happening?
If you are getting styes regularly it probably means that the oil in your eye isnt right/isnt thin enough. My eye doctor said if i had styes regularly i could take Omega 3 Fish Oil (they come in pills) and that would help to not have styes as much. Try to also wash your eyes with the Johnsons&Johnsons baby shampoo
I know I'm gonna sound really stupid but have you got a steel glass/bowl at your house? If yes, whenever you feel like you're gonna get a stye or when the stye is small enough (not fully grown yet), try rubbing it on your stye. As an Asian, I always had those at home and it worked wonders. I've been having the same problem as you, been getting these all my life. I wish I knew sooner of something so simple yet effective.

Recently, got diagnosed with allergic conjunctivitis, mild blepharitis and a hordeolum. The heat eye mask, ocusoft wipes have helped for sure but the eyedrops and ointment my ophthalmologist gave me, have helped significantly reduce the size and redness of my hordeolum. Hopefully it goes away completely this time.

I've had my chalazion for over 7 months now 😔Since about two weeks ago, I've been giving myself lid massages and using a wash cloth for warm compress. Not sure if I will see much change but I'll definitely be taking advantage of warm compresses with a heated item instead!
I also have had a chalazion for about 6-7 months now, and it just turned into a stye this week. I am going to try buying the Heyedrate Heated Eye Mask that is linked in the description of this video, and see if that mask works better than the Bausch + LombThera Pearl EyeMask I have been using. And I'm also massaging my eyelid more now! I hope it works for us both :((
It will not go away. I Had a problem with them for a year already the best way is to book an eye surgeon for injections of steroids and it will go away after that 1-2 days.
Hi I’ve found a treatment that works for me, I use a organic used teabag it works very quickly do it at least 3 time’s a day a warm compress will also help it along quicker(tip if you feel it might come out do this straight away and it will stop it) good luck ppl this works for me 😀
I just had a Chalazion procedure today. I had no idea they were going to flip my lid and cut it out from behind. I went to the doctor twice over the last year and was told to apply heat, which I've done in the past with Hordeolum with great success. I was doing the hot wash cloth though. I wish I would have know this before it ended up being permanent. You taught me the heatable compress will be used immediately in the future. Thanks for the info Doc.

Thank you for the recommendation and link for the Heyedrate Heated Eye Mask. I have been using the Bausch + LombThera Pearl EyeMask and it works well, but I think the Heyedrate mask with small beads will conform to my eye better. I have a stye on my bottom eyelid and think the Pearl EyeMask may not be conforming and adding heat as effectively as if the stye was on my top eyelid.
Wow! I haven’t heard about studies saying that oral antibiotics are the most beneficial to styes. I just finished med school and have suffered from styes for years! One doctor prescribed oral antibiotics to me for my hordeolum once, and it prevented it from becoming a full-blown stye with pus. However, the ophthalmologists I’ve consulted with often just gave me topical antibiotics, which in my opinion, didn’t make any difference in terms of the healing time and appearance of the stye. I’m surprised to find out that oral antibiotics are actually the more effective management. Styes have significantly affected my daily life in the past years. It is bothersome and just doesn’t look pretty. Will go check out your other videos about this :) Thank you!

Same here. I thot i got a style and I am sure it is a chalazion. That thing needs to get it removed with an eye doctor. It won't be draining with a warm compressure because it is located in the middle unlike a stye. So irritating. Looks very awful. I am gonna set an appointment. Has been 6 weeks already.
I had a history of chalazions which were appearing with increased frequency. Although I’ve had more than typical eye exams due to glaucoma and prescription drops for decades, I was never instructed on eye cleansing. Once my new eye doctor recommended using OCuSoft Lid Scrub, I’ve never had another chalazion. I use the foam scrub 2x per day after each set of drops.
I order from Amazon. Not wipes, it’s foam that comes out of the bottle and you massage into your eyelids. I continue to use 2x / day and still no chalazion.

Several years ago, I had chalazions. No medicine helped, hot compress did not work. I had surgery 3-4 times, but they emerged again. Accidentally, I found that taking sun bath dissolves them. I was in the beach and I got sunburn, it dissolved all my chalazions completely. I try this method each time I have chalazion, and it works. To my understanding, sunlight destroys the structure of chalazion. Maybe it is UV or infrared beam affects that.

Thanks so much for this information. I've been using warm compress for a week now. The ones that you microwave, so they last about 5-8 minutes per session. Is it common for them to get larger before it gets better? When I first started, it was a lot smaller but now it's larger and more red. I'm hoping it's because it's preparing itself to drain the fluid and not that it's just getting worse in infection. Please let me know. Thank you!!

@@AnthonyLopez-jj8xp how it go ?
@@AnthonyLopez-jj8xp hello! Any updates? I've also had a stye for a month now and I am yet to do warm compress

Good luck!

I'm sorry but you used the egg with the shell or without it?

@@jennr4640 during the procedure the device they used to keep my eye open started to hurt me and they had to add additional numbing to that area. The needle was the worst pain untill it took affect and then I was fine.
Does your eye look normal now after the procedure?
Thank you doc, there's a small bump coming out of my lower eyelid, which has been itching me for a week now. I see now it's gonna be a cyst. I'll put warm towels and hope it works out👍🏼
Thank you for the recommendation and link for the Heyedrate Heated Eye Mask.
You are so welcome! I hope it works well!
I’ve started getting these things once a year. The idea of the heated compress vs the towel was most helpful.
yeah i have a red bump in my top eyelid and every time i blink it hurts :(
Same, I have to take Advil :(
same
ihave like 6 yellow bumps and their so painful
I get them so much so much and I was literally wondering why one would look like a pimple and one would look like a plain bump? This video was so informative! Thank you!!
Hi, what did you do to it? I have one it's bothering me it's been 2 days😔
@@rohbari5049 yea they can take awhile to go away.. I make sure my hands are clean, and I put stye eye drops everyday until it goes away. Another thing I do is put a warm rag (that’s clean) on my eye and I hold it there for awhile. Hope this helps!
@@cheldawnn hi Michele thankyou, yes I put stay eye drops first day and it makes it red and painful so I stopped it. Now I'm putting warm green tea bag on it. Its getting small but still there 🤔
@@rohbari5049 yes I’ve used tea bags too. And they can take awhile to go away.. I had one for almost a month one time, but hopefully yours doesn’t last nowhere near as long. If nothing seems to be helping I could go to the eye doctor or let my body naturally take care of it.
@@cheldawnn
yes it's getting small thankyou ☺ Appreciate that 🙏
Have one underneath on upper lid. Small white. Painful. Been putting on hot washcloths.
Hearing about them going away on their own and massaging them was so helpful. Also the length of time they may last gave me hope. Ty
I woke up today with my eye swollen and my mom thought I had pink eye. Turns out I have a stye friend after some research. Thanks for this!!!
I had a chalazion for 6 months. I had the procedure done because nothing would work on me. I did warm compresses religiously and I took doxycycline and cephalexin for 3 months. I honestly dont know why this happened to me or why this cyst was present for that long but the thing that had helped me the most is the surgery. Im currently 3 weeks post surgery and warm compress are much more effective and I also use ocusoft lid scrubs twice daily.
Thank you for sharing! Did you have the drainage or the injection?
Warm salty water & an eye cup (from Walgreens), taste water first- should be just at the limit of saltiness for food purposes. Works for me, try at your own risk.
Had eye surgery to remove the chalazion years ago, like Arnold, it's back. :(
I got the surgery when I was 14 , I'm 17 now and it's back🥲
i think i learn a lot more from you that my optometrist. You are really cool. you have been helping me in learning about my eyes and taking care of them. ❤️
Thanks so much for your kind words Melanie! I appreciate that. Glad you are learning so much from the channel!
I learned that there are two types of stye and I have the one that is the infection. I also learned that a hot compress for a longer. Of time is more effective than a washcloth. Thanks for the information.
Ive had styes under both my eyes for at least 3 yrs and ive seen eye care professionals and they are still here 🙃
Same. Is it still there?
I’ve had a chalazion for almost a year and I’m terrified that it’s permanent it has made me a lot more self conscious and I use the spray to clean my eye and hot compresses on it but I haven’t seen much of a difference help!
Apply apple cider vinegar on your affected eyelid with a q tip twice a day!! Best remedy I tried. It was gone in a week!
Claudette Jenee On the inside or outside??
My kid is 4years old.he is suffering from this chalazion..it's been 1month.. 😞😞
Claudette Jenee under my eyelid will it work
??
I had a history of chalazions which were appearing with increased frequency. Although I’ve had more than typical eye exams due to glaucoma and prescription drops for decades, I was never instructed on eye cleansing. Once my new eye doctor recommended using OCuSoft Lid Scrub, I’ve never had another chalazion. I use the foam scrub 2x per day after each set of drops.
Where can I get these wipes?
I order from Amazon. Not wipes, it’s foam that comes out of the bottle and you massage into your eyelids. I continue to use 2x / day and still no chalazion.
@@m.b.5362 Thank you so very much for such a quick response, especially considering the fact that your post is one year old. I am so grateful. I am currently experiencing a second bout with a chalazion in less than two weeks. I think they are chalazions.
I just rubbed mine because it itches as hell and now it is more swollen and it hurts so much 😭😭😭
Yea
I just rubbed mine cuz it itches now I’m scared lmao
I get styes when I get stressed out, I use the wipes u recommended and they help tremendously and also not touching the stye. When I touch the stye too much It tends to stay longer
That's great to hear!
@@DoctorEyeHealth Thanks for choosing not to help me even with all of my comments left under your vitamin c video.. no one gives a shit about your video about what sunglasses you like.. thanks again for not helping me when I really need it

I’ve had a Stye for around 4-5 months now and I’ve pretty much done every treatment, my doctors are basically no help
Hw are you doing now?
“They go away usually 7-14 days if you decide to do nothing”
me: had 4 styes over the years and never healed completely
so many eye drops, and my current stye that has been going on for 3 months now ✌️😗
What? You should go to the docto
Same bro, I get stye after every 3 days, no drop no med helping me
1. I have gone to the doctor, they say the same
2. My birthday is coming up and I don’t want this thing ruining my pictures :(
What no
Eat raw garlic.
Something I’ve used as a hot compress is hot, cooked, rice wrapped in a few paper towels, it worked really well
Several years ago, I had chalazions.
Who else had a stye but he/she is scared of eye drops
Scared of eye drops?
I've had a surgery on my eye for a stye and you know the funny part?
It came back! 😭
rainbowday of me Roblox same I just blink when it drops
I have a stye. But I am not scared of eye drops.
Seriously I used to be scared of eye drops too until I got contacts so eye drops are amazing
Omg me
Very helpful. I had the horneolum Spontaneously drain last night after putting a lot of heat on it. I cleaned it up with medicated iPads and it looks a lot better today and it feels a lot less achy. I ostensibly still have some sort of Chalazion
iPads?

As soon I felt that eye is gonna develop a stye , I went to the Dr and she gave me 2 tablets and and en eye drop . She also told me to do warm compress 4 times in a day with something that retains heat for long . The stye faded away in an week . Touchwood
Thank you. My eye was really stinging. Gentle eyelid massage brought almost instant relief!
I am dealing with stye 😭😭😭, and it's just been 2 days I want this to end 😭😭😭😭
I hope it gets better soon!
Same😢
Is it gone?
I just got one a few days after to go out with my crush, should I cancel it? Send tons of love and good luck
Holy cow!! Tapping my eyelids actually is working!! Thank you very much!!!
Explain?
Thanks so much for this information. I've been using warm compress for a week now. The ones that you microwave, so they last about 5-8 minutes per session. Is it common for them to get larger before it gets better? When I first started, it was a lot smaller but now it's larger and more red. I'm hoping it's because it's preparing itself to drain the fluid and not that it's just getting worse in infection. Please let me know. Thank you!!
Did yours drain/go away?
Exactly how mines is now
For being in high school this kid has quite a bit of knowledge. Very helpful.
I have so many question
Where do stye come from?
Can i wear makeup while i have stye?
Do you die when you pop your stye?
When you put some of drops does it hurt?
What name is the medicine?
Do i need to go to the doctor or just put some warm handkerchief?
You can not wear make-up while you have a stye
When I was younger I used to have styes all the time. I grew out of them. Also can you have a stye inside the eye?
Nasstasia Edwards yes you Can, i had it 8 months ago
@@multiaz0091 oh my, what was that like?
Nasstasia Edwards not INSIDE the eye, but inside the eyelid, it was really annoying and the redness never really went away. Im having a stye in the same eye and place RN :(
@@multiaz0091 hope it gets better soon. Maybe you'll grow out of it.
@@nas619 its super painful inside the eye..
I have had a stye for 4 weeks now that started on my upper left eyelid and has now transferred to my lower lid. I have a compress mask I heat in microwave and it doesn't seem to help this go away. I clean and wash my eyes thoroughly and have also seen my eye specialist who offered to perform a procedure removal which I opted to wait a while longer. This video gave me some new tips I will try before I see my doctor next week.
Best of luck!
I didn't know there were two types. Thanks for the info!
