    I what began as chelation, was treated for 1 1/2 years, unable to get it not to recur. Steroids, antibiotic ointments, oral a antibiotics, finally, excision, biopsy, yes, basal cell carcinoma requiring surgical resection. A huge surprise, great surgeon, hoping no more. Thx for a great video!

      Wow! Yes, rarely a tumor such as basal cell or sebaceous carcinoma can masquerade as a recurrent chalazion. I'm glad you were able to get your problem correctly diagnosed! Thanks for your comment

    • @ymon81
      @ymon81 2 года назад +1

      Easy home method:
      .. use a cotton swab
      .. put it into hot water
      .. squeeze out the excess hot water
      .. apply it to your swelling
      .. repeat this for 5 to 10 times
      Prevent future swelling:
      Clean your eyes with clean water after sweating especially after exercise

    Your videos are excellent!, thankyou! In another video of yours, which is more recent but focused more on dry eye treatment, you mention electric eye masks - like Aroma Season Professional - the one you recommended. Can these be used to treat eye infection styes? If so, how clean should the mask be kept?
    Thanks!

    I had a daily allergy attack every morning for days, then a Stye formed. I didn’t put the two together, but you did mention allergies can trigger it. Could be what happened with me. Doctor saw mine and said it’s tiny compared to what many tend to get. Although he did say could take a couple weeks to get rid of. Mainly suggested the warm compress daily 3 times a day.

      I’ve had 9 styes in less than 2 months. I had to get 2 removed because they were so stubborn and painful. Seemingly unrelated as it happened at different times, my lips just started swelling up randomly so I started keeping track of the things I was eating. I’ve narrowed it down to peanut butter as the culprit every time my lips start to swell. I have an appointment with the allergist as a. Peanut allergy can be serious but so didn’t think about the 2 being related until just now lol

    I think my Sty has been on my eye for a month. I went to ophthalmology and was told warm compress , and given an ointment to put on sty. Well … it’s still here. I keep reading it can take up to 8 weeks ? I’m debating when to go back to dr to see if I have to get it surgically removed. What a pain in the uou know what this has been . I don’t wear eye makeup and I rarely wear contacts. I had not worn contacts for over a month when the sty appeared so I know it’s not from contacts or eye makeup. I’m thinkkkg from my mask at work that I wear all day. I had a chalazion 6 months ago. Behore that I never had any eye issues. Now that I have yo wear mask all day ar work I’m wondering if that is what’s causing these.

    • @almacortez92
      @almacortez92 Год назад

      I heard wearing a mask has caused these to form on the eyes of many people. Lots of increase on these cases after people had to wear masks.

    I got a chalazion surgery in October, they said a few days after the surgery the swelling will go away, they also gave me an eye ointment to use for a few day to reduce swelling. I used it for a few days but it was still there and I still have the chalazion, but it is just tinier. Do you think I will have to do surgery again?

    Take note of whether you were at a hospital before you started developing styes. I never got them and then when my Dad went into the hospital for minor surgery and aspirated I stayed overnight at the hospital and have gotten styes once or twice a year ever since. I'm convinced I got a staph colonization in my nasal cavity now causing them. Hospitals should be forced to warn you of this shit the second you walk in the door and should fix this nonsense at no charge. It's New Years and I stayed in because yet again my eye is swollen.

    Okay so I think in 2020 I had to get a surgery for a stye that's been there for over a year. Went down perfectly fine. But then I kept seeing castor oil was good to grow your eyelashes out so I tried it daily for a week or so and my left eyelash isn't affected at all it is only my right one. It started to develop a bump and Im pretty sure the antibiotics expired. So then..I uh. Started using a q-tip with 50% alcohol over the bump not letting it get into my lash line and its actually going down I'm not sure if this is a way though? I made sure it was to the point that it wouldn't drip out excess alcohol if there was pressure on it but I've been doing it for 4 days now and its been going away? Sorry for the rant and bad grammar lolol but with my last stye I tried apple cider vinegar w/ the mother and all those methods which didn't work. I'm not sure I should resort to this everytime I get a stye but I guess it's from the castor oil..
