Have you ever used castor oil around the eyes for any reason? How did it work for you? Here is a an eye drop that has castor oil in it: amzn.to/4a4olwd
Thanks, I've been curious about the uses of castor oil, so this is helpful. To keep my face younger looking I use various body creams before bedtime. I might add castor oil to my night time regime.
Been using for 2 weeks now it's early days but am seeing an improvement I have recurring blepharitis and use blephaclean wipes and Carmellose drops I been using Castor oil on the dry skin on eyelids and under eyes as my eyes run and I get dry irritated skin I'm using on my feet too as I get foot rash and very dry cracked skin which hurts a lot u can't seem to get rid of it again also have daktarin for them
Organic Hexane free Castor Oil in the Eyes dissolves Cataracts. Two to three drops in each Eye before bed for three days is all you need for a year or more. I've been doing this for over ten years. I''ll be 80 in June. My Ophthalmologist hates me.
@@scobszwide4458 If you read his comment carefully, you will see he says he uses a few drops for 3 days in a row and that is enough to last a year. So, he uses it only for the 3 days and after about a year, when he starts to feel discomfort again, he uses it again for 3 days in a row and on and on.
I started using castor oil for eye lashes etc. I'm 59 postmenopausal and have turned the corner on aging, meaning it's not pretty over here. I'm heading downhill fast LOL. I'm trying to accept it but let me tell you, the first evening I used castor oil, just rubbed it into my lashline and around my whole eye before bed, I woke up with NO EYE SWELLING, BAGS, EXCESS FLUID, etc. and its happening consistently!!! It may be anecdoctal, but it is 100% working for me and I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth so I will continue on and if it's a placebo effect, rock on placebo!
I'm with you, girl!!!!! That menopause crap is for the birds. My skin has taken a real hit so, I started experimenting with how to make better bath products for my age. So far, so good. Woops, I forgot to say I make soap and lotions and all that stuff for the body. It's my hobby. LOL....I guess my mind is going now. Sigh.
A while back I asked my eye doctor if eye exercises would help improve my vision, he said "No". I did eye exercises anyway and in a few weeks noticed that the clarity got so much better. I wouldn't ask a traditional doctor for any advice on how to cure myself - that's not their area of expertise. They just know how to suppress the symptoms.
I agree! I'm still alive because I quit going to Dr's, quit taking the meds they prescribed, started healing myself with diet, supplements, ice baths, and exercises.
I caught a hawk on my hen 2 weeks ago, pecking at her eye. She survived, thanfully, however he shreded her cornea, and I'm convinced he even dug into the lens. After the panic subsided I decided castor oil would be worth trying and put one drop in her eye. Next day it was cloudy and still torn. The day after that I put another drop into her eye, and on her lids since it appeared he had stretched them out a bit. Within a week, after two doses of castor oil, her eye looks completely healed. She's totally unphased, and grateful!
Wow! As a former chicken owner, I once had a hawk incident myself. I think your accidental experiment / healing opportunity is very thought provoking. I am also glad that your chicken survived and healed. I like those little creatures and wish I could still be raising them.
I have used castor oil. I had cataracts. The doctor said I would need surgery within a couple of years to I began putting a drop of castro directly into the eye for dry eye. Next next time I went back to the eye Doctors, my eyesight had gotten better both nearsighted and far-sighted and I ask the Doctor about cataracts. He said I didn't see any cataracts.... I contribute this to the castor
This just reminded me of something, I completely changed my habits by finding out book called The 23 Former Doctor Truths by Lauren Clark. It has been censored.
I use castor oil on my lids. The oil can migrate into the eyes. No need to put drops directly into the eyes! Castor oil is pretty amazing. Farmers have used Castor oil for animal cataracts for hundreds of years.
I had NO idea FARMERS used CASTOR OIL for animal cataracts. My Persian cat has cataracts in both eyes. This BREED of cat ALWAYS get cataracts. I'm going to TREAT his eyes. Thank you!
I been using castor oil on my eyelids and under eyes for about 6 months and it’s helped my dry eyes and seen reduced swelling of my under eye bags and dark circles 👁️
It's funny because we are obliged to say "consult your doctor" but when people do it, doctors don't have a clue about what you're talking about nor are they willing to investigate it further.
This is so true! I’ve asked by doctor about vitamins, hormones, oils etc…..he try’s to ignore me, change the subject, tells me I’m fine while getting up and walking out of the exam room. I had to demand a hormone test as well as a vitamin panel, finding I was depleted which was causing all kinds of physical symptoms all the while he kept telling me I was fine!! It’s just a rabbit hole they don’t want to go down, it’s too time consuming, so they ignore anything about vitamins, hormones, lymphatic system, etc, the regular answer is just take a multi vitamin you’ll be fine, or they prescribe a pharmaceutical for a symptom, which they are financially rewarded for doing by the Pharmaceutical companies!
You’re right!! Definitely works on wrinkles. After I apply to my body I add hand cream to my palm, rub together and apply to my legs. My hands feel like a baby’s skin after. No washing castor oil off. Plus it helps my nails too
Woke up with half my eye bloodshot . No reason no trauma. I smeared the eye with Organic castor oil and the next day it was 90% cleared up, after my research said it would take 2 weeks. I wore sunglasses outside on the first day and the second day it was almost unnoticeable. I've been doing castor oil drops in my eyes for years and the floaters are almost gone. I have a very clean healthy diet, no suga,r no carbs, no pharmaceuticals. 76 year old female.
No! No dilution! Honestly, it’s safe, I’ve been using it for quite awhile now. My floaters have been gone for a good bit. It improves my skin- I mix it with other carrier oils for my skin. I even use it at the beach! I put it in a roller bottle! It’s wonderful oil! 🥰🙌🏼🙌🏼
I'm 70 years old and my eyebrows were nil and my eyelashes very short. I started using Castor oil on my lashes and eyebrows for the past year. Yes my eyebrows have hair and eyelashes are much longer and thicker.
Just because there’s not a study for something doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. There are many, including myself, who are seeing improvement in our floaters, etc.
It is funny how they don't consider the experience of decades, sometimes centuries, of human experience and experiments, to a be a study. It is. It is a massive, unintended epidemiology study. For example, how did they come up with Gravol? By testing very substance on Earth, or by finding out what people ALREADY KNEW would prevent nausea (ginger) and figuring out how it worked on a molecular level.
There are studies they just refused to show it because they want to keep fibbing to the world 🌎 Mind control! Hell, they be fibbing to themselves so much that they believe their own shenanigans! 😂🫡
Just like there's MANY studies of supposedly beneficial manmade chemicals, which aren't actually truthful. Just look at the history of so-called safe & effective, FDA passed medications, that were subsequently withdrawn from the markets, due to catastrophic Human physiological harm.
I started using castor oil because I was diagnosed with glaucoma and cataracts. I was told, and operate or use a product that would change my blue eyes brown forever. I looked for alternatives. The testimonials were exciting. Eight months ago I put the drops of castor oil in my eyes first and then on my lids because of the blurry vision and not being able to get to sleep afterwards. I noticed first that my glasses were too strong and started using an old pair. I'm now using a 3 yr old pair of glasses. My doctor said that I don't need surgery for glaucoma and cataracts.... but getting him to tell me my vision has improved was like pulling teeth. lol. I let him see my last, 2 yr old and 3 yr old glasses and showed him what I was using. He still insisted that I can get a new pair and make them clearer. I said, no thank you....and goodbye. FYI: I'm also noticing that it removed the brown spots on my skin that has been happening since I'm now 75. The one on my face was gone in a week. That's exactly what I needed to know and I'm thrilled.
Well it isn't a placebo effect regarding floaters. I just recently had an eye exam because I had really bad increased floaters, with flashes of light in my right eye. I had it for months didn't know it was a bad thing other than annoying until it got so bad I could hardly see. (Which escalated rather quickly) I saw optometrist and they looked forever into my dialated eyes and gave the all clear but said I needed to be seen again in a month. I heard about castor oil helping dry eyes so I tried it. (Unrelated to the floaters) It helped immediately. I was thrilled. A few weeks later of nightly application to my eyelids I realized my floaters were GONE. Not just better. Not just like they've been a few here and there for 35 years. No...entirely GONE. Saw optometrist he said good job treating your eyes they're perfect! I said I didn't do anything you said. He said oook.... I feel a but coming 😂 so I told him. He said well just please don't put it *in* your eye. I said I make no promises. Haha So PLACEBO that! 😁 😂😂😂
Same story here, except I never explained to my very surprised and confused eye doctor why I have ZERO floaters! I have had floaters increase, then the night before my eye check up I used the castor oil drops and the next day noticed significantly clear vision, and the doctor was surprised when he told me I had no floaters! I never explained to him why. 😊
An increase in floaters + flashing light can be symptoms of retinal detachment, a vision-threatening condition, and should ALWAYS be checked by an eye doctor as soon as possible.
I've just started castor oil on my whole face, including my eye lids at night. I let it soak in overnight. My face is already less wrinkled, and my dry eyes are way better. Not to mention my under eye, bags are gone, and my brows are finally growing. Castor oil has all the best anti-s, inflammatory, fungal, and biotic.
Ok, well here's my deal. Had a bad fall, fractured my nose and both eye sockets TBI. Stitches in left eyebrow. Happy to NOT have been blinded, I didn't get too cranky I didn't have eyebrow or lashes on the left. I'm 65, so figured I'm ok and not so bad to go in public. So, my auntie shared our Granny's castor and olive remedy for hair, browns and lashes. Also, castor pack for pain and injury. 6 months later, using just at bedtime, eyebrow and lashes are back. Also, noticed about a month or so ago, I am not seeing so many bugs flying around.. Had a lot of floaters..I have a significant astigmatism and myopia. Had it since they found I needed glasses at age 8. I just received report from my eye doctor that I had a slight improvement. Course hubby said it was probably just an accidental "front end alignment". Eye bags and wrinkles are better too. So, I think it worked for me.
Really sorry to hear you had such a bad fall. TBI is no joke and a lot of people develop vision issues after a hard head injury. But really happy to hear things have grown back and that you are noticing improvements! Cheers.

I have been using one drop of organic, hexane free castor oil in my eyes for eight years, full strength. I put one drop in my eyes before going to bed. I am 70 and I have no cataracts or any problem with my eyes. I buy a small brown sterile bottle with a glass dropper from a herbal department. This small bottle I fill and keep by my bed. When I need to refill it I boil the bottle to disinfect, let it dry out and refill. I keep the big bottle in the fridge to keep it fresh.
I was ignorant I was using Castor oil for dry eyes and it worked one string of eye floater have gone. Then I sorted stopped. Then my eyes sight gotten worse and went the Dr, had my eyes cataracts surgery of both my eyes. My eyes still dried and started put castor oil drops in my eye and it works for me now. I wan to thanks everyone who shared their experiences and knowledge on line for everyone to see and learned from them. We ( I ) choosing to believe in somethings but not all😊
This is kind of funny how you mentioned ask your dr about this... I've been using castor oil on my eye lid for about two months, I felt like there's improvements with vision and dry eyes. I just had my vision check up few weeks ago (I did not mention castor oil yet), with the exams and all sorts ~ she looked at my previous files and current to compare. She said that there's improvements, basically great results. I do not have to wear glasses or contacts unless really needed. I then told her that I've been using castor oil, she lost it and said that I should not be using it in the eyes, I corrected her ~ eyelids. She then said that it can damage your eyes and should stop doing that. I told her that I'm confused as she gave me great news for improvement, she shook her head and said no. I told her that I would be happy to go to a different eye clinic if she'd like me too, she stopped talking. I've been with them for seven years and it's insane 🤷♀
Mainstream medical people don't want you to do anything that isn't proven even though you just proved to her that it helped you. Of course they don't do studies on things they can't make money on. So sad.
Towards the end of my chemotherapy, one of the nurses told me to get organic castor oil, and apply a thin film where my eyelashes and eyebrows used to be. They came back SO fast, and I almost regained the double lashes I had before treatment! Now I'm using it on my scalp, to help speed the regrowth of my hair in certain places. It works! At least, it has for me. 😊
Do you recall how long you put the drops in your eyes? Just wondering. I have been putting 2 drops in each eye for about 4 months now, and expect that it may take 6 months to a year for the cataracts to disappear completely. Your story is wonderful!!
I had a real eye-pain for several weeks. When I went to the doctor at least 3 times with this, he repeatedly said, that is only caused by dry eyes, so he immidiately subscrided me different and not cheap drops. But they didn´t help me. I started to worry about it, than normally I help myself with euphrasia drops, but nothing helped. Than I came to some videos, where they suggested to put castor oil on the eyelid to penetrate into the skin. So I bougt a bottle of coldpressed castor oil in the pharmacy and gave it a try. Already the next morning was my pain blowing away and it still remained. Whenever I experiencing dry eyes again, I put some castor oil on my eyelids before bed and it works perfect!!! Therefor I am very greatfull and giving this tip further to my friends.
They, (giant corporations), aren’t going to fund research because castor oil is relatively inexpensive and people won’t need to buy their ridiculously expensive products that usually contain very little castor oil.
Exactly this!!! Getting funding to do a decent research study is difficult at the best of times... but if it's for a natural plant that can't be patented then really not as much interest... and if that plant also happens to have the potential to replace a lot of medications then forget it!!!🙄🤦🏼♀️
The kind I get is pricey! I get it online, and so after shipping its costs around 25 dollars but the bottle lasts, but I am finding more and more stuff to use it for, wish I could just take a soak in it for about 20 minutes, I buy a bottle every 2-3 months
Ya its really scary & depressing. Esp given how many Nurse Practitioners are given free reign to basically wreck ur brain & life by diagnosing psych health & prescribing meds they're NOT qualified to work with
Im 73 this year. Been watching my CATARACTS grow to "RIPE FOR SURGERY"...... I'm gonna use Castor Oil in my eyes and see what happens between now and December 5 eye appt..... I pray I DON'T NEED SURGERY 😮this iscexviting for me 😂 Texas Nana Psalm 91
I have used castor oil on my lashes and eye brows because of loss of hair due to chemo. I noticed , just a little, growth on my brows and lashes. But, the main thing I’ve noticed lately is the floaters in my eyes have almost disappeared. I wasn’t expecting it and was a total surprise when I realized the floaters had disappeared! What a pleasant surprise!
I am 80 and had heard of Castor Oil as a laxative, my dad said his mother gave it to him as a child. Then I saw a RUclips talk about it's benefits. I started using it a few weeks ago. I don 't put it directly in my eye but it soothes dry eye, itching eyes and puffy eyes. It WORKS. I also have plack Psoriasis and it stops that deep skin itching. It is natures botox for the face it tightens skin and is an anti inflammatory and improves texture and scaring. It is wonderful for itchy scalp is put in the navel often to help digestion. I love it. Thanks.
My doctor had mom make me take it as a child for complete clean out before certain tests and surgeries. My daughter's GI specialist had me give it to my daughter along with a barrage of other softners and stool hydrators to clean out my daughter's GI tract upon discovering that she had been suffering with Constapation IBS. Till this day when she is having issues she uses Castor Oil to help.
My spouse and I both were diagnosed with cataracts and last year the eye doctor said his were ready to come out. We started using castor oil for eyes. This year he was told his cataracts were much reduced and mine were, for the first time in years, never mentioned. A few days after using the oil, I noticed colors seemed a little brighter. Also, my vision itself is much improved. I was told years ago when I asked what my vision was, the doctor said, “Legally blind is 20/400 and you’re way beyond that.” While I am prescribed contacts, there are days I forget to use them because I can see so clearly. That usually changes by the end of the day, but it’s still a huge difference! Also, my prescription for contacts has decreased over years. Maybe the intake of blueberries and blueberry wine helped.
@@soulcenterhealinghypnosisshouldn't really matter though cause d oil penetrates and do what it needs to do. Check out Barbara O'Neil and Castor oil . She is a qualified and experienced nurse and naturopath
It’s called Optimum Eyes, comes in a small blue glass bottle. I used a drop in each eye for a few nights. Now I use it on my lids only when I remember. I read that one shouldn’t use it in the eyes for very long. If I start having issues again I will go back to putting it in the eyes for a few days.
I HAVE BEEN USING CASTOR OIL FOR MANY YEARS AND I CAN TELL YOU I HAVE NO EYE BAGS BECAUSE WHEN I STARTED GETTING THEM I QUICKLY STARTED USING THE OIL TWICE A DAY FOR A SHORT TIME AND THEY ARE GONE .COLD PRESSED CASTOR OIL IS GOLD
It 100% helped grow back my eyelashes after they were practically destroyed from eyelash extensions. I actually grew two layers of lashes on my top lid so they looked thicker than my lashes were pre-extensions. I've been putting it all over my body daily (it's a chore) but some things it helped where: completely healed the daily pain I had in my neck from nerve inflammation and arthritis. I was getting headaches daily from the neck pain for about a year, nothing my physical therapist did or my doctor prescribed helped relieve the pain. Since using castor oil the headaches and pain are gone. I no longer have to take ibuprofen the minute I wake up each morning. I pour a little in my belly button each night or rub it all over my stomach and it has helped relieve my constipation too. It is a natural anti-inflammatory. I could go on and on, but just wanted to say it has been very beneficial for me. :)
I pulled mine out once from an eyelash curler that slipped. I put on castor oil.........this was in 1972, and my mother told me to use it. They grew right back! It has been used for a long long time.
I'm 79 and have been using castor oil for about 6 months around my eyes at night before bed because my eyelashes were thinning and I'd been diagnosed with cataracts. I'd been experiencing the beginning of double vision and was really frustrated about that. Recently in addition to my eyelashes begining to grow back in, I've noticed the double vision seems to be much less. I had been wearing eyeglasses since I was thirteen but now I only wear them to drive. I read normal size print online and on my phone without any difficulty. And after watching this video, I realize that the floaters I've had for years are also diminishing!
I have been looking for a good brand. What are you using? There are so many companies and not sure if all are as good. So glad your eyes have improved. I want to try it on my lids for my dry eye and lack, now, of eyelashes. I am a senior as well.
I have a vitrous hemorrhage in my left eye caused by a laser surgery mistake with incorrect setting on the laser since February 2023, it never cleared naturally and I was effectively blind in that eye unable to see anything other than the brightest light. 2 weeks ao I started using 100% cold pressed hexane free castor oil 1 drop in the eye 3 times a day ,and I can clearly see the oil is helping to clear the blood. I can now see light and color where before I couldn't. As far as I'm concerned I have nothing to lose as I have been rejected for a vitrectomy and told it may be 3 years before I can et the procedure. The blood was not clearing after 18 months, now after just two week, I can see light color and object shapes. This in itself is a huge change for me.
You can really tell a difference between doctors who want money and doctors who are focused on improving their craft as much as possible to truly help people who are suffering. Thank you for being the latter. Your research and honesty has changed everything for people like myself who suffer from dry eyes and blepharitis.
I am 50 and a master aesthetician of 31 years. I use castor oil as a nightly moisturizer and anti aging preventative. I also DO use it on my eye lids! I can't speak to the bags as I have never had that problem but I recommend it to all of my clients for YES lash growth and brow growth as it helps oxygenate the skin and helps with TEWL. It also locks in moisture. I have also done castor packs for other health benefits. It's known as natures natural botox. I don't get botox! My profile photo is less than a year old. I don't look my age and that is due to regular facials, good products with AHA's and castor oil! I love natural treatments used in conjunction with dermatology grade products. I also have a derm background ;-) great video! I learned a few things I didn't already know about castor oil. I know it's been used even in biblical times and Egyptian. Cleopatra used it for medicinal as well as beauty purposes.
I’m confused about the idea of using castor oil on my face, because people use it to increase hair growth. Using it isn’t likely to cause hair growth on the face?
@@angelamapplebyAnother Master Esthetician said there are different hair follicles for the face verses the eye brows, that is why it works for hair growth for the eye brows and eye lashes but you do not turn into the bearded lady when using it on your face. Recently I have started using it at night on my eyes and face.
@alicewonders22 Is that you speaking in one of the shorts on your channel? Because if it is and you say you are 50 I am completely blow away. You are the poster girl for how amazing castor oil is and the other things you are doing for your face to look younger! You don't have any eye bags? Yes! I can see that! Maybe it is because you have been using Castor oil for so long and it has prevented eye bags from developing. If you ever do a video on your best tips to have youthful skin I AM VERY INTERESTED to watch a video on this as you are your own best advertisement. I have subbed. Notifications are ON. Hopefully in 2024 you will make some videos on what you have done to look so youthful! Seriously the person in the video on your channel looks like they are in their 20s or maximum early 30s. Is that you at 50 or is it someine else? Hope you reply, but if you don't I am amazed with your results. Wow. All the best. God bless you. 🛐
Ive used Baby Oil to remove my eye makeup since 1979. I have severe dry eyes and eye allergies and it works amazingly well. I use Baby Oil to take off my waterproof mascara. Ive known this from being ( As you call it Makeup Consultant/Make-Up Artisian) an Avon, Mary Kay, Estee Lauder, and even Benefit cosmetics. They sell eye makeup remover, but Pure Baby Oil even with Lavender in it is the BEST for eye make removal. Even after the 90s slim brows, everyone used Organic Castor Oil to grow out brows.
I was skeptical about using Castor oil for floaters but honestly after only a week of using morning and night under eyes they are GONE❤ what a blessing!!
I've been using castor oil daily on my feet for about 8 months, upto the knees, elbows, back of the neck. Before sleeping, rub all around the eyes. My lashes have grown and look beautiful. The skin around the eyes have improved skin overhaul. The bone sticking on my feet have reduced significantly. They've become soft, no longer painful. I also rub the oil before bed, on my stomach including the naval. It all feels great. Also I add castor oil to coconut oil and rosemary. It's helped grow thickness in my hair! I wouldn't be without it!
I've started using it for 2 weeks. My face & lips are less dry and my face looks more youthful. Wrinkles look better. Plus, last night the TV looked more clear from across the room in the kitchen. I will continue rubbing it on my eyelids and hopefully I won't need my glasses anymore!
My specialist said to put heat on the castor oil it helps to absorb it into the skin. So I just heat up a meditation mask and place a pad over the castor oil on my eyes till it cools down. Heavenly.
EDIT: I just had brain surgery, a craniotomy, in February. I don't use castor oil on my incision (9 inches long), but I had some scrapes on my face after the surgery and I used castor oil on those. They all have healed wonderfully except one where I think it will be a scar. But I bet it will be a lot less noticeable because of the oil. I've been using castor oil all around my eyes for the last few months. I haven't noticed much in the way of eyelash growth, BUT I totally notice a big difference in my eye bags! The bags are noticeably smaller and the lines around and under my eyes are much smoother! I don't go a night without it!
@@DoctorEyeHealthI was loosing my eyelashes. Hardly had any left. He told me to use castor oil on my eyelid at the base root of the eyelashes, (you have a photo lined in blue that is exactly where he told me to put the castor oil), but to be careful not to get it in my eyes. It worked, I have more eyelashes again. I use it still to maintain my eyelashes.
Same with me! I was pregnant with my first of two children, and he wasn't even overdue. Within hours I went into labor and had a beautiful, healthy boy.
I used a mix of one egg and 2 spoon of castor oil on my hair, 3 hours before washing my hair and it did wonders: it brought back my dry and damaged hair to life. Loved it.
I used castor oil on my aged dogs eyes years ago. They were getting that graying glaze over them. He'd fight me at first, but seemed to realize soon after that it was helping him because he started assuming the position to get the drops not long after. I never got that surrender from him with trimming his nails in all 8 years he was alive. His eyes went from that of an old dog looking like he was starting to go blind, to the young pup I remembered him to be. No film, no glowing graying. They were clear and green (his normal color) again and showed zero signs of aging.
This is so awesome. We got to do for our animals what we would do for our children cos they too are family. Your story reminds me of my old boy, Muffin. He was 18 and the vet wanted to put him down because he was quite weak and due to his age, they didnt even bother to offer any solution. So, I took him home, gave him a liver pack and he was up and about and walking within 3 days.
I just apply it outside my eyelids and I've seen major improvement with my vision, dry eyes and floaters. I can't remember the last time I saw a floater and I had many
Funny. Here's a comment I found just two positions below yours. "You definitely did your research I just have to say I would listen to my grandmother before some of these drs these days."
Let me just say you're such a life saver. I'm 21 and I've been having really dry eyes since I was 16 and I just came across this video and decided to try this out. I was kinda scared and hesitant at first because I heard castor oil irritates the eyes for some people but I'm so glad I tried it out because my eyes feel much better and they are not at all dry like before. So thank you so so much! Update - I used this for around 2 weeks then I stopped. These days my eyes are red after I wake up in the morning so I stopped using it. They were working so well I don't know why it's irritating my eyes now 😭😭😭
@@San-ny1pg I have stopped using castor oil since it started irritating my eyes after a few weeks of using it continously. But my eyes have gotten way better after using castor oil even though I have stopped using it now. What helps me the best is including more vegetables in my diet especially carrots, cutting down sugary foods and drinking more water. My eyes feel so much better when I don't use my phone or computer so try to avoid electronic gadgets as much as you can. Also blink more often.
I have been suing castor oil under my eyes and on my eyelids since August 2023 on a consistent basis mostly twice a day and I have noticed significant improvement with my dry eyes, eye strain, eye floaters are completely gone, have seen growth on my eyelashes and improvement with my eye bags
I'm using cold pressed 100% organic castor oil in glass container a year ago for my high eye pressure/ glaucoma. I had to use Timolol ( later Travatran/Travoprost ) in the last 7 years. Until I just use castor as a medical experience on myself. Luckily, no irritation! Even my eye dryness is gone since then! Using without dilution and no oil floating etc issues. Even i can use my contact lenses multiple times without contamination. Went back to my ophthalmologist last month and my eye pressure was 16 without prescription drops! Didn't tell him about my "study" . He ordered me back in 6 months for regular check up and test. But surprisingly he asked me if I still want to get the prescription for my Travoprost. So in my case I have positive experience. Will see 6 months from now. I will update then! God Bless Y'all ❤ (HELLO! I gotta update. had to postpone my check up. The new appointment is next Monday on 14 th of October. WILL LET YOU KNOW THE results!❤)
@anjasingh1766 Hi! every evening before bed,one drop each eyes without dilution. After massaging around the eyes.Make sure good source, cold press, organic, paraben free. If You want to make sure about the results, wait 5 more months when I go back to the next check up. I will update here! God Bless Y'all

I’ve used castor oil ever since I was diagnosed with MGD 6 months ago. I put it on my eyelids and then use an eye wand which emits heat and massage. Started doing it 3-4 times a day, now down to once every few days. All issues have disappeared. My ophthalmologist was disappointed as he was unable to ‘sell’ me the office procedure for $1500.00. I’m now using ALL OVER MY BODY…absolutely great stuff!
Soooo I kinda fell down this rabbit hole 😂 I actually bought castor oil 2 weeks ago for skin care.. The crazy thing is the third night after applying it to my face .. I woke up and I could see out of my right eye.. the eye I had retinal detachment surgery on and very poor vision.. previous to surgery I was 20/20. My vision was so poor, that during my vision check I could only see the largest letter on the chart with squinting and everything below it a blurry mess of nothing. Needless to say it honestly has changed my life only after 3 days. Stumbled upon it accidentally and so thankful I did
I am VietNamese Opthalmologist. Six years ago , I have severe dry eye syndrome and I use castor oil to drop in my eye . My eye heals completely after 3 months
Alrighty I know for a fact it cleared up my cataracts and I floaters and I use the organic castor oil. I use it at night when I go to bed the same way he rubbed over his eyelid and underneath and before I go to sleep, I’ll make sure a little bit gets on the corners of my eyes before I go to sleep. My vision has improved no more floaters and I don’t have that cataract anymore so I continue to use it because it has helped with my vision and I believe as it has also saved my vision. I’ve been using it for six months because I was frightened that I was gonna go blind because I’m ready farsighted and shortsighted It’s helped immensely Doctors won’t tell you because they would rather treat you or do something to your eyes instead of letting you know something so simple can do so many wonders
I haven’t put it in my eyes ,however I’ve been putting it around my eyes have found that it has improved my eye bags and I think it has helped my severe dry eye 👁️
I've been dealing with bilateral dry eye and unilateral blepharitis for about 2 years. Was prescribed Restasis, told to use rewetting drops frequently, use a warm compress and eyelid wipes. Restasis was very helpful, but I started having episodes of dry eye again with pretty significant pain/foreign object sensation. This is when I started using a drop of organic filtered castor oil on both eyelid margins under an eyemask to sleep each night. After about 4 months of doing that my eyelid with blepharitis is much less swollen than it was before and I have been able to completely stop using Restasis, eyelid wipes and re-wetting drops through the day. Almost no episodes of pain due to dryness anymore. For me, the results have been amazing.

I use castor oil on my eyelids and around my eyes. I just started using it 3 days ago. I’ve suffered with MGD for about two years and already I have noticed an improvement. I apply it morning and before bed. I went to my eye doctor yesterday and he told me I have cataracts. He suggested going to a surgeon, but I want to give the castor oil a chance to work more for healing my eyelids (MGD) and it would be wonderful if I find improvement with my cataracts. I will also be praying. I didn’t tell my eye doctor about the castor oil yesterday, but I will when I see him again in 6 months. Hopefully, it will be shocking news! 😊 I follow your regimen for my MGD. I am so pleasantly surprised to see this video from you about using castor oil. 🎉 Thank you very much!
I have read lots of comments after watching castor oil videos. Many folks have said their cataracts disappear after using castor oil. Watch Barbara O’Neil videos on YT. She’s an Australian Naturopath who sings the praises of castor oil, as well as other home remedies.
Thank you Susieq54! I will definitely check out her videos! I want to avoid surgery, pretty much, at all costs. More information about this remedy will be most helpful. Thank you very much!❤🕊️
I have sjogrens syndrome and therefore extremely dry eyes. Castor oil has absolutely been a miracle for dry eye AND my lashes. Also, when I have eye infections (often from leaving my contacts in ) it clears up almost overnight! I recomend it for a TON of ailments. Thank you for the video!
SINCE I HAVE USED RESTASIS, my eyelashes have really grown. Eyebrows too when I started patting what ran down from my eyes on brows. Amassing. And I started doing same at the side of hair I call widow peaks on both sides of forehead. And has been growing in. Amen.🙂. Thank you for your information.
For 2 years I suffer from severe dry eye -- treated by a specialist with different Rx's and procedures. 6 months ago I resorted to trying caster oil kind of as a last resort and OMG it's a life changer. Immediate incredible relief. I don't drop it directly in my eye, but around the lashes and on lids so some of it does get into the eye. But the instant relief is incredible.
Yeah the eye doc I go to wants me to go on eyedrops which will make me spend upwards of $60 a month. I don’t think I will continue as I think a big part of my dry eye comes from blood pressure medicine and having worn contacts for over 2 decades. Also, I’ve been rather bad with my contacts and using drops while they were in and I shouldn’t have. So using high quality fish oil and eating healthier I’ve noticed some change but I recently got my hands on a bottle of the sky organics castor oil from Walmart for $15 and used it on the lids (edit: autocorrect kids? 😂) the lashes I feel much better and my eyes feel more moisturized (not directly in the eyes though). Thanks for reading sorry it was long. Tehee
I just started this 2 nights ago after countless prescriptions for dry eye medications! Castor oil for the win!!! My eyes are so moisturized I feel it when I blink now
@@revonfernando5471 the doc will probably scorn this if he saw the reply but I just apply it onto my lids, (not a large amount) and a bit of it seeps in as you blink.
Ive been nearsighted all my life. My distance vision has also improved since putting castor oil on my eyelids every night. My distance glasses were too strong and I had to get them changed! I'm very close to not needing them anymore. I drive without them now when before I couldnt! I LOVE CASTOR OIL!!
Dry eye can be caused by vitamin A deficiency but rarely in developed countries do we see true vitamin A deficiency. In fact, I see more cases of vitamin A hypervitaminosis (overdose) than deficiency. Either way though, happy to hear the cod liver oil is helping!
From my experience, vitamin A works better for my aged eyes than lutein. I take 10,000-20,000 IU a day also with high doses of vitamin D and K. Caster oil as well is really good for my eyes. One or two drops in each eye (undiluted) before bed takes care of dryness from using contact lenses.
I work in Specialty Pharmacy, helping patients who cannot afford their medications to obtain available options for financial assistance. This year we started dispensing a new medication, used to treat Blepharitis, that costs thousands of dollars per fill so almost every patient is sent to my department to assist so they can afford. Now I'm seeing that something as simple as Castor Oil can treat Blepharitis for literally a tenth of the cost. My trust in the pharmaceutical industry, in which I work, was already suffering. This just pushed it over the edge. As for treating floaters, I have had them in my right eye for about a year now. I started using castor oil on my face and eyes a couple of days ago and will also be using it on my hair. I don't put it directly in my eye, just on my lids and under the eye. It will be interesting to see if the floaters disappear!
I have been suffering with blepharitis for quite some years now and have just started using it on my lashes, eyelids and under eyes too. I have had floaters most of my life and increasingly. I have had redness in my eyes for some years. My eyesight used to be fantastic but now not good at all. I WILL report back here to tell if Castor oil made any significant difference to my eye situation. I also used to have long eyelashes and good looking thin eyebrows but now lacking both.
@@williampinckney9388 to be honest, I changed my diet to carnivore, and my floaters disappeared, along with my high blood pressure. I used the castor oil for a few weeks and didn't notice much difference so stopped. But continued on carnivore and one day noticed the floaters were gone.
My dog also has cataracts and I have been putting 1 drop a day in his eyes for almost 3 months but don’t see any difference yet. I will try and increase the frequency. Thank you so much for your comment, it’s giving me hope 🙏
Hi Doctor🙋🏻♂️ I'am Mexican and i work like hairstylist more than a 25 years when some woman client for any reason lost her eyebrows or eyelashes i always give them my own recipe to put on it One clove of garlic crushed and one teaspoon of castor oil mix up together and everyday put on each eyebrow and eyelashes for 15 or 20 days and the results where incredible and they never sufer any damage on their eyes i recomend this highly secure 😊
I use a drop of castor oil in the eyes each night and Dristhi ( mix of intense juices, garlic and ginger to name a couple-intense, but such healthy eyes!) and ITONE eye drops daily and have had wonderful results in eye health and eyelash and eyebrow growth (put extra that leaks out of the eye and rub on eyebrows)
My sister use this oil for eye bag and she look great now, my other sister use this oil on her feet for inflamation and it is helping her a lot. This is one of the best oil.
Hi Doctor. This is so interesting. We used to make castor oil in Colombia. Only organic, this is before organic was named that. It grows natural and everywhere. Castor Oil was one of those things that if you didn't have it home, you didn't have a home. It was a medication, a cosmetic, a pain killer, anti histaminic and an all purpose substance. We used it all over our bodies without any hesitation. Fresh pressed and stored in a glass recipient in dark and cool place, it provided comfort to our parents just knowing it was there.

I have Reiters Syndrome with iritis diagnosed 45 years ago. Had lots of floaters. Never had dry eyes. Used of COLD PRESSED, HEXANE FREE ORGANIC CASTOR OIL PACKAGED IN A DARK GLASS BOTTLE eliminated my floaters. I also had mild cataracts by 67. At my last visit the opthalmologist noted my cataracts are reduced by over 50% and asked what I was using. Castor oil removed the bags below my eyes and increased eyebrow and eyelash hair. It must be Cold Pressed and in dark GLASS bottles because Heat and light break down key benefits of Castor Oil. Keep it in a cabinet or on a dark closet shelf.
I had iritis on my R eye years ago and now cataract is worsening fast. Used castor oil briefly last year but stopped. Does it get worse before it gets better? Also, what brand did you use? I have hard time finding in Canada.
@RetakeAmericaNow How did you apply the castor oil to the eye area? Did you apply it directly onto the eye or only around the eye like the lid and below the eye? Thanks in advance. 👍
@@SlotstheMetaphysicalwa are you applying it directly to the eye of putting in on the lids and around the eye - my oil seems awful thick to put directly on the eye
I was scheduled for a cataract (not a very severe one) and for 3 months I put a drop of castor oil into my eye and covered my eyelids every night and when I had the final visit to confirm the operation the doctor said that after all the cataract was not “advanced” enough to justify an operation. I don’t think it’s placebo effect . But quality castor oil is an absolute must!!!

@gracelin2619 castor oil is very viscous and so you just put a drop on your finger and smear it over your lid or into your eye. No need to sterilize as the oil or your eye . Maybe use a clean finger 😅
I've been using it on my eyelids for 3 weeks and I've noticed a decrease in eyelid thickness at the margin and a decrease in reddening. I've never had crusting but lid margin irritability has calmed down and is there is no apparent inflammation anymore. My dry eyes are also slightly less dry. I'll keep using it. Thank you so much for your work!
Hey thank you! Glad to hear that you are noticing positive changes! Are you using the castor oil on just the lids or are you also putting in on the lashes?
I’m glad you mentioned decrease of redness! I have been really sad that my the whites of my eyes in recent years were getting more red. In my country it is not possible to buy Lumify etc, which I have heard can help with this. The thing is that I started putting castor oil on my eye lids and underneath just a week ago at night. Yesterday I thought I was hallucinating as my whites are a little whiter. I have been checking the mirror many times since I noticed this and they really are a bit whiter. And this after just a few days. I am so grateful! I also have cataract and floaters and am hopeful that it might help with this, too 🤗👍

I use Castor Oil both morning & night on my entire face, including my eyelids. It definitely helps with dark circles. I have been using it for at least 6 months. I no longer use any moisturizers. I also apply it all over the body after my shower. Yes, it is very sticky, so you can mix it with coconut oil. It does absorb into the skin within a few minutes. I feel that my skin has dramatically improved. It is also great for dry cuticles and feet.
Years ago I had short stubby lashes. I started using castor oil with a dry brush after I read about it in a book. My eyelashes grew longer. People commented on how long my lashes were with mascara. I'm a believer.

I have had severe dry eye and mibomian gland dysfunction for quite a few years. I had found the same study that you mentioned and have been using castor oil on my upper and lower eyelids along with a warm compress for about 6 months. The improvement has been tremendous!
Glad you’re talking about castor oil @DoctorEyeHealth. I know this is purely anecdotal but I’ve been using castor oil topically on the eyelid and the entire exterior orbital area and this is what I have observed. My eyes are comfortable most of the time. I have lost all itching and, in particular, one very sore patch inside one eyelid, the source of which my optometrist could not find. No more floaters. Does dry eye cause floaters? Less under-eye swelling, the hollow appears to have plumped out. Fewer crows feet. It may be that the dense viscosity of castor oil is merely preventing evaporation through the skin. Or, is it the anti-inflammatory properties? I don’t care. I use a quality organic, hexane-free product that comes in a glass container. It’s making my old eyes and skin feel better.
Hey thanks for sharing! It makes me happy to hear you are noticing such positive changes! Dry eye does not cause floaters but both do occur more frequently with age.
@@GrdmaKat2000 Hexane free means that particular chemical is not in the castor oil. I’ve done extensive research & everyone says to purchase Organic, Cold Pressed, Hexane Free & always in a dark brown glass bottle. It’s available on Amazon or ur local health food store. Never plastic, apparently chemicals from the plastic can leech into the oil, yikes!! I’ve had dry eye for 20 yrs & use Restasis eye drops every 12 hrs. However my eyes would still, water on occasion even using Restasis. Since using castor oil these past 3 months the dryness seems to have improved greatly & I’m hoping my eye dr will discontinue the Restasis in a couple months when I go for my annual checkup🤞🏼As a bonus, while using castor oil nightly on my eyelids & under eye dark circles I noticed a raised, rough spot (the kind a dermatologist would have to remove) on the bridge of my nose, had minimized greatly. This happened in only 3 weeks😮Who knew the lowly castor oil could do this much good, expect the price to go thru the roof, lol 😆 Oh, it also works for pain, as in arthritis pain!!
My husband is diabetic and has dry eyes... since I learned about castor oil he started applying it on the eye lids and it has helped him a lot, sometimes he'd forget to use it then his eyes would burn from the dryness and when he uses it again he sees the difference....it works for the dry eyes 👀👍👌
I had used castor oil in my eyes, but not on a daily basis, and I mixed it 50-50 with virgin coconut oil, 1 oz. of each. with one drop of 5% Lugol's iodine. When I first used it, I got a lot of crusting around my eyelashes, which I supposed might be that it was killing demodex mites, or a slight infection. I have lupus, and one thing we get it that the ends of our eyebrows fall out, so we have shortened eyebrows. I used it on my eyebrows and it grew that hair back. Lupus will also cause hair loss, and when I mixed castor oil with coconut oil and applied it to my scalp for 6 weeks, my hair thickened noticeably. I now add drops of Rosemary oil to that scalp mixture. I still use it on my scalp, face and eyelids, but not in my eyes. I stopped because I read a study that showed that straight castor oil used in the eye could cause damage to the sclera. As for it causing cloudiness, that usually goes away within a few minutes, because most of it runs out, and some is absorbed into the tissues and I suppose the eyelids themselves. I've read anectdotal evidence that it helps cataracts, but I don't know and after reading the bit about it damaging the sclera, I'm not willing to try that again.
I have blepharitis and had 4 Intense Pulsed Light treatments (IPL) which helped with my tear evaporation. However, most of my top lid eyelashes were burnt. I used Jamaican caster oil to try to grow my eyelashes. After about 3 weeks of applying it at night before bed I developed a nasty stye on my top eyelid. After months of trying to reduce the stye through many different methods I had to have eyelid surgery. While castor oil sounds promising I’ve learnt my lesson the hard way. Doctor Alan, thank you for the great work you do for this community. I continue to learn things from you as we all have to be our own health advocates. 🇨🇦
I’ve had blepharitis for 15 years. My understanding is that is it a chronic condition. I work on a daily routine of a warm compress (Bruder) in the microwave 2x a day, take omega 3 liquid, use systane eylid wipes, and Thealoz Duo eye drops. I no longer wear any makeup. And never, ever touch my eyes without washing my hands first. The less you touch your eyes the better. Would love to find a permanent solution but I haven’t t found one yet. Continue watching Dr. Allen- he is one of the best online eye doctors.
You do not use Jamaican castor oil on your eyelashes, it's for the hair. Only organic, cold pressed, hexane free is safe and it should come in a glass opaque bottle.
I'm so sorry about what happened to you. I'm not sure if the IPL treatment caused the issue you needed to fix surgically. I hope your eyelid surgery was a success for you and you have healed from it.

No! No dilution! Honestly, it’s safe, I’ve been using it for quite awhile now. My floaters have been gone for a good bit. It improves my skin- I mix it with other carrier oils for my skin. I even use it at the beach! I put it in a roller bottle! It’s wonderful oil! 🥰🙌🏼🙌🏼

Just because there’s not a study for something doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. There are many, including myself, who are seeing improvement in our floaters, etc.
yes, many many years of personal testimonies and use by a lot of people as a home remedy. Our grandmothers wisdom is valuable.
Correct and probably why he stated as much in his video.

Same story here, except I never explained to my very surprised and confused eye doctor why I have ZERO floaters!

Hello where can I buy this hexane caster oil?,,I am from Philippines.
it's not recommended to store castor oil in the fridge. room temperature in a cool dry dark place.
I was wondering how to clean the bottles, boiling for abt 5 mins? I know the dropper part cannot be boiled right?

What brand model are you using because I just got some and it’s burning my eyes?

They were working so well I don't know why it's irritating my eyes now 😭😭😭
How are you now. I'm really suffering from dry eyes 😭

Restasis was very helpful, but I started having episodes of dry eye again with pretty significant pain/foreign object sensation. This is when I started using a drop of organic filtered castor oil on both eyelid margins under an eyemask to sleep each night. Immediate incredible relief. I don't drop it directly in my eye, but around the lashes and on lids so some of it does get into the eye. But the instant relief is incredible.
Yeah the eye doc I go to wants me to go on eyedrops which will make me spend upwards of $60 a month. CAREFUL! Vit A is a fat soluble vitamin. You can overdose and damage your liver.
Good to know! I will definitely up my A intake.

Would you be willing to share information on what you use exactly and where to purchase? And what/why being Hexene free?

Do you mean applying castor oil directly inside the eye damages the sclere or outside on the skin of the eye ball?
V@@AMam-ib9dqI agree, very confusing comment. Commentors need to reread these content and USE PARAGRAPHS !
You could use eye drops with castor oil in them, and with no conservant. Keeping them in the fridge.
@@lynnodonnell4764 Hmmm...just like you reread your comment before posting.
I’ve found it definitely has improved my skin especially under the eyes
There is a certain kind of castor oil to use for your eyes. It should be hexane free and cold pressed. If it’s in a glass bottle that’s better.
I have blefaritis too about 16 months and the treatments the doctor gave to me didn't heal it. I do not know what to do...
