    I can’t fault a gun for having hiccups when the magazine is being rested on the ground. I would prefer to have no issues regardless, but I’ve always been taught that resting magazines on the ground or bench when shooting can induce issues.

    Solid review brother. I just bought the SP9A3s and I've watched a ton of video reviews on this platform but none of them was as good as your's was at addressing my concerns regarding reliability and also my curiousity between shooter perceived differences with the Stribog SP9A1 vs SP9A3s. Keep up the good work and thank you for this awesome content!

    Got mine, took it to the range and tested it like you did. I had some weak ejections with 115-grain but not with 124-grain. However, I just installed the HB Industries short stroke buffer (and other HB parts), so we'll see if that fixes it. I love it!!

    Really superb video: great quality, great information. Way to test it as no one else has so far! THANK YOU for taking the time and care. And you had it right with "STREE-bog," which is the Slovakian pronunciation . Ultimately, we can pronounce it however we like--I choose the Slovakian "ee" sound.
    My SP9A3S has about 300 rounds through it with only 1 easy-to-clear malfunction so far, and that happened when someone else was shooting it, so I don't know if it just didn't like them or what (haha); could just be the break-in period. I've used the curved 30-rounders and the straight 20-rounders, by the way. Other than that one, this is one super-smooth, super-fun, super-accurate, and SUPER-compact gun, and just a joy to hold. Everything I'd hoped for and more. Popped a red dot on and I'm off to the races.

    And I wonder if the issue your having when shooting prone is due to the mag pushing against the ejector-the mag rests against it. It’s on the side held in with the two small screws. When mine was loose I had a lrbho activation with rounds in the mag running an A3 tactical lower. Once I tightened and blue loctited the screws zero issues FYI hope it helps.

    Excellent observation no one else has pointed out. Everyone who hates on the Bog seems to be involved with B&T or HK/affilates...ironic I guess. Hah. Also that they didn't catch the ejection angle, mag movement or scarring and do the math. I will note that ETS Scorpion mag used here are the most notorious for loose tolerances that I have found in my AR9 New frontier Armory lower builds. Also the most fragile if dropped. Their high cap clear mags look so good but the A3 Tactical/Lingle lowers as well as my S9 AR lowers were designed off of the original scorpion mags and the ets fits loose with some wobble. A solution if you want to see how capable a Bog is before getting a Scorpion lower or invested in non OE Scorpion mags or modding I did mark the base of the mag well on both, ran a couple layers of gorilla tape maybe 1/16 of an inch higher than the mark "the ETS clear which gave problems & a couple bog curved mags which have never given issue but as with yours would slide up under pressure causing friction...so the tape gives a little resistance thus giving me a tight fitting mag & eliminating the possibility of over reach & has a little elasticity that helps a mag firmly click in and click out via mag release push.
    I would have modified the ets with a soldering gun to it's locking points but the plastic is so prone to cracks that this method actually made me feel better in the event I dropped it etc. Ive had cracks to ETS on the bottom after dropping a full mag "had repaired by plastic welding with a soldering iron and then was using the Gorilla tape on the bases for protection when I used the above method and also had to plastic weld one that had overreached causing marring/a crack down from the feed lip when it was caught by my AR9 BCG while running a heavy spring/buffer vs my hydraulic setup.
    Just noting a workaround & a few things that could inspire others or help if ever stuck in a situation needing to field repair, a heated knife could even be used to repair plastic damage in the field perhaps by using some shavings off of the same part to essentially solder a crack/chip or marring problem & lots of new mags are made from plastic, some using better quality than others....but using oem CZ mags is the solution for this problem in any Scorpion lower from what I have seen. On the original Scorp I believe they locked up a bit better and by being looser on the sides allowed for faster mag swaps but other adaptations have proven to give problems.

  • @USMC4Life23502

    I gotta say this, if I have to go into a prone position while utilizing a firearm of this nomenclature " sub gun," then something has drastically gone wrong, with the mission. a firearm like this is typically used while assalting and / or in a CQB environment. In any case, I have never in my time in service found myself in such a predicament. This is a non issue as far as I am concerned. I get it, you create content. I suggest using the proper tool for the situation you intend to work in. If that includes going prone, then I would suggest something with a bipod. Where your not inducing malfunctions. No one that I know of are using an MP5, MAC10, UZI, APC 9K or MCXK in such a manner.

    Thank you very much for the review. I currently have a SP9A1. Looking at a full size A3 and this one the A3S along with MP5 clones. Never shot either A3 or an MP5. For the money the A3 seems like a bargain. What’s the recoil difference between the A3S and regular A3? Would you buy the A3S again ? Any help is appreciated!

    • @RenegadeNate
      @RenegadeNate 2 года назад +2

      Between my SP9A1 and SP9A3, the recoil difference is definitely noticeable. I don't have the regular-size SP9A3 to compare to the S, but I imagine they're pretty much the same. My S was very soft shooting (softer than my CMMG Banshee and on par with my Sig MPX 4.5").
