Happy DOOM Eternal x Animal Crossing day! This is my final ranking before I implement a slight alteration to the format that I'm really excited to share with you. DOOM Eternal will be my testing ground. If you'd like to get a taste of my first experience live, I'm playing Eternal right now: www.twitch.tv/thedemodcracy Hope to see you there, but if not, I'll see you for the ranking :)
As much as I love the content, once again this ranking is far too soon. Doom eternal literally came out yesterday and I'm sure there are different ways to celebrate that that having a video full of spoilers. You should give your viewers a chance to play the game before releasing a video like this. I will watch it in due time but as I said about nioh 2s rankings the timing of these videos is sooooo off. You should go back to community rankings to help fix this problem and give your own input for a video like that, but still not 24h after the game has been released, if I want spoilers I'll go looking for them. Just didnt think that is what this channel was about...
@@JFGC97 way to comment before watching the fucking video, dumbass. This is a ranking for the bosses of DOOM 2016, not DOOM Eternal. Notice the lack of the word "Eternal" in the title.
Hey, I was wondering if you could maybe make a boss ranking on RUINER, the recommended difficulty is hard but I completely understand if you don’t want to play it that way, I heard you mention the difficulty and it immediately came to mind. It’s one of my favorite games and I would love to see it on a ranking. I also think it might only be on pc because you need a bit of buttons, but I’m not sure. Cheers!
Imagine a fromsoft game where the slayer is the final "boss" where you essentially run away like you do with Vader in fallen order but bfg division gets louder the closer he gets
ShingetsuReplays it’s not distracting, you just have to have it as second nature. It’s saved me more times than I can count from some random cacodemon or baron all of a sudden in my face
Piggy Blitz i do have it as my second nature. Actually what i meant was if you can bunny hop and accelerate yourself . You'll know you kinda just dash left or right to dodgd things. Otherwise you lose momentum.
Nioh, definitely. Played it more recently, and they really are significantly more erratic in quality - especially amplified by the level/gear mechanic making player power much spikier, and the fact that you will repeatedly fight these bosses again through the game.
@@UnreasonableOpinions I am playing through Nioh, definitely will agree, boss quality is all over the place in that game... I mainly said dark souls 2 because the game does actually have 41 bosses. And Nioh does have more boss, technically, but for myself, I don't count the bosses that go two on one.
@@Avghistorian77 That checks out, you're right. I like many of Nioh's bosses and I do appreciate the way they get serious use out of them, but it makes the weak ones really frustrating when they come up again, and again, and again. But I do like being able to re-fight the good ones without a new game - the one thing I liked the most about DS2 was that Ascetics let you keep enjoying the best fights without having to stuff around.
The Cyberdemon is my favorite boss of this generation. Everything about it was so well done. It was also one of the hardest bosses I ever faced the first time around and it was so satisfying taking it down.
The Spider Mastermind just felt unresponsive to me. Sometimes it felt like the face was the weak point and the brain was invincible, but other times it felt like the brain was the weak point and the face was invincible. Either way it just felt like all my weapons were peashooters. It's also super lame that the only boss without a second phase was the final boss, y'know, the kind of boss you most expect to have a cooler second phase.
If you move to the side fast enough you can actually escape the cyberdemon's walls before they go up. Also a fully charged shot from the siege mode gauss cannon will stun the cyberdemon while he's charging his laser, cancelling the attack.
Love New Doom series, already sculpted BFG and DoomGuy and plan to do more. Demons also really stand out - design,details,size,sound,effects... everything is a only greatest continuation they could have possibly done from the original. Love them all!
My prediction for your Doom Eternal boss ranking (using pseudonyms to avoid spoilers): 5) Endangered Species 4) DOOM (2016) (Metal Cover) 3) Spartacus 2) EIGHT Weakpoints?!? 1) Call me Doomfist ... 0) *Every single fight involving an arch-vile holy fuck those things.*
I really can’t tell what 4 and 1 are, I assume I get the rest. I honestly really disliked “eight weak points”, felt extremely underwhelming in the boss itself... almost like it wasn’t there considering the point of the story it was at. Tbf similar could be said for endangered species but they actually had me going around the map more carefully.
maxastro I think I had “Endangered species” and “Call me Doomfist” mixed up then because of the fact the latter is also technically endangered. I actually liked “Endangered Species” more than “Call me Doomfist” for their stage’s of the game respectively.... and then “Metal Cover” I assume is then the one that then reoccurs as probably the most hated reoccurring enemy in the game after your first encounter with them? If so.... yeah it’s place seems about right.
I beat the First Boss of Doom Eternal, and boy I loved it, going through the whole mission watching it get created knowing its sole purpose is to kill me, and the Blood pumping combat of Doom Eternal, finding breaks to get some of the lesser trash mobs for health armor and ammo, before laying into him was so Satisfying
Really glad you decided to do a ranking to celebrate DOOM Eternal's release even though the original only had 3 bosses in it's roster; before I even started the video I knew right off the bat that Cyberdemon would come in at #1, it's definitely one of the most visually pleasing and dynamic fights in the series to date!
Honestly, my favorite boss are the hell guards. The level itself are a bunch of arena fights which I always enjoy, and also I like how they are so small compared to the other bosses, but still aren't a pushover.

wow, points for doom for having one of the best first bosses in any videogame ever! also from what i can tell, there's at least four bosses in doom eternal, so there will be a bit more to work with
Ah yes, Doom. This is the one and only shooter I can say that without a doubt is nothing but non-stop fun. Ripping and Tearing through your enemies is a hell of an adrenaline rush. The Hell Vanguards are personally my number 1, just because I got my ass handed to me at least 4 times by them, and performing that final glory kill filled me with bloody ecstasy. Looking forward to doing it all over again, Eternally.
Doom 2016 was the first true reimagining Of Doom and it had some delightfully great bosses. With Persona 5 Royal and Resident Evil 3 coming so soon I won’t have time for Doom but it’s had a special place in my life since the 90’s. The first game I ever played online with friends 😄 Ah the dial up memories...
Let me just say, the Marauder is an absolute pain in the ass. It would be fine as a boss battle by itself, but the goddamn wolf sticks around way too much and its regular movement seems to be the same speed as your dash.
I think that my ranking would be 3: hell guards: i like it a lot, but the second face, while being cool, is just 2 hell guards with no shields. While is still great and has attacks that are fun to dogde, i would have liked that, i don't know, maybe they do group attacks or something 2: cyberdemon: it is very amazing. The attacks were very cool and the jump attack is fun to dodge. Is just that to me, not as great as number 1 1:Spider mastermind: the attacks, the mobility, it just works. If you die, is not because of some bad design, is because you fucked up. You really need to move a lot to Dodge and is sooo fun
Demod, thank you for uploading so frequently. We're very excited about all these uploads coming so quickly! That being said, don't overwhelm yourself! ^_^ awesome video!
Personally I think that the hell guards are the best for multiple reasons. Difficult but not bullcrap (Like the cyberdemon in my opinion), but not too easy like the spider mastermind. Mix that in with a surprisingly well designed gank fight, and they are my favorite fight in the game
@@stygandrinvictus7814 I don't much care for it either. I get they wanted you to utilize all the mechanics, but I hate running out if ammo just because they want me to chainsaw. I also don't like how the melee itself is weak as fuck. It stuns, once, but other than that it's pathetic.
Now these are the games that are hard for me! While others struggle with "souls" games which I find relatively easy... no I struggle with shooters or any type of first person game 😔. I really don't know what it is. I don't do to bad against the cpu as long as I play regularly. Multiplayer is a different matter. So many people make it so easy and baddass, yet there is clearly something so simple that I can't seem to grasp my mind around it. Doom is fantastic but the most surprisingly satisfying FPS story I’ve ever played through? Titanfall 2. I never even played the first one and the story still blew my socks off. Tight pacing and leaves you wanting more yet satisfied.
sometimes, I wanna see these original 2016 bosses added into Eternal for more variety. I was somehow disappointed there was no Spider mastermind in it but the new guys just add more flavour to the old mix.
Let me tell you about the most boss breaking glitch in gaming, if you shoot the bfg and go into the weapon wheel the bfg shot still does damage through the slo motion, meaning you can literally two shot like all the bosses in the game (don’t know if this works in doom eternal yet cause I never use the bfg for some reason)
If Doom guy was in the boss ranking. He would obviously be #1 because he 1) has never canonically died whereas the other bosses are currently ripped into atoms 2) can adapt to any environment at will 3) has slain titans of hell and most importantly 4) is perhaps an immortal engine of destruction and retribution
I just started playing doom right after dark Souls 3, in dark souls you sigh a relief after enemy died in an area, in doom you sigh of sadness, oh! no that's it.
*MINOR SPOILERS* I've been playing through Eternal since the 18th and I've been taking it slow so I'm not that far. So far for me the hardest "boss" has been the Marauder. I say that with quotes because it has no health bar and it's surrounded by other enemies but then again the Doom Hunters also surrounded themselves. Anyways, Ultra-Violence although being hard is definitely the optimal difficulty to play Doom and I refuse to turn it down dammit!!!!!
First time I fought the Hell Guards, they kicked my ass several times; and it became a major roadblock for me. Until I realised I was just being a fucking moron, and just focused on one and then the other.
Everyone who thinks "You're not trapped in hell with the demons, they're trapped with you" had clearly never played Ultra Nightmare before and getting one shot from full health by half the enemies in the game.

sometimes, I wanna see these original 2016 bosses added into Eternal for more variety.
You should play the original DOOM games and DOOM ETERNAL and make a list of best and worst bosses out of all the games!
Can you do a vid on the best soundtracks for videogames? It'd be cool to know what music you like in games
Oh also about the Hell Guards, shoot them in the back for massive damage if you're having trouble.
Did....did demod do a sunburned albino at the beginning.
God damn that was clever
Love the intro
Rip & Tear into DeModcracy's latest vid
If Doom guy was in the boss ranking. He would obviously be #1 because he 1) has never canonically died whereas the other bosses are currently ripped into atoms 2) can adapt to any environment at will 3) has slain titans of hell and most importantly 4) is perhaps an immortal engine of destruction and retribution
A video I didn’t know I wanted
I like how it says
"#1 Doom Slayer"
Then the bottom says
"Animal crossing new horizons"
Lmao
Hell guard weakness is the plasma rifle. If you ever play it again even though Eternal is out you should try it.
I just started playing doom right after dark Souls 3, in dark souls you sigh a relief after enemy died in an area, in doom you sigh of sadness, oh! no that's it.
Doom (2016): haha gun go shooty
Doom: Eternal *MANLY VOICE* Ha Ha, Gun Go Bam.
Every demon:run it is the slayer!
Cyberdemon:COME ON BITCH EVERY TIME YOU KILL ME I LIVE!!
doomguy: *confuse rage*
Shadow of war boss ranking?
Ultra Violence is the true intended setting
Are you going to rank the DOOM Eternal bosses after you finish the game ?
*MINOR SPOILERS*
I've been playing through Eternal since the 18th and I've been taking it slow so I'm not that far.
Everyone who thinks "You're not trapped in hell with the demons, they're trapped with you" had clearly never played Ultra Nightmare before and getting one shot from full health by half the enemies in the game.
y'know, if you fully upgrade the db in doom 2016 you can shoot 2 shots super fast and it actually really op
