The true boss is the Cathedral of Sacred Blood, I got lost and couldn’t finish it 100% without a guide because I’m blind and stupid
I'm still stuck there lmao
I died to falling about 6 times on that map, thats more times then all my deaths in combat(including bosses)up to where i am now which is hot and toasty theirs fire everywhere.
Ur probably not stupid that level is just bonkers
As someone who likes mazes, Cathedral is actually my favorite level and not terribly difficult to navigate. The teleporting enemies were a pain until you get used to them... oh and that second ambush rush area was some a**hole's method of getting off. Nothing like getting hemmed by 3-4 wide melee spamming enemies at once with NOWHERE to go because forward is even more enemies and back is a ladder they'll teleport to yeet you off the top of....
My first playthrough made me hate Cathedral of Sacred Blood. Everything looks the same so it took me a solid 6 hours to traverse without a guide.
Guys help, I've been stuck at character creation for 5 hours
LOL

That my friends is the strongest boss of them all
It’s the hardest boss to beat.
git gud
The real hardest boss in the game is taking two Boreal Brutes at the same time in the snow depths
Those were the bosses I died the most to... But then I found out that the key to beating then is fire buff and breaking their poise so having a STR build or partnering with Yakumo makes the flight way easier
@@BlkSDX I mean yeah, with a partner, everything is 10x easier. But attempting it by yourself is nearly impossible.
I literally just baited them into dashing into the abyss every time, or just avoided them completely. Those cunts are so fucking hard.
Yep I died to them so many times
Fire buff for sure, but parry will save your ass more. Actually, it's more like this game will punish you for not parrying, which is pretty cool.
Blade Bearer and Cannoneer are 100% made to be fought at least 2 on 2, they even routinely swap their aggro between you and your partner so you can't easily isolate each of them.
You can but it’s difficult and requires you keep one eye glued to the other boss, I beat them by focusing on one then the other and it was so much easier then one at a time once you get into the rhythm
It wouldn’t be so bad if blade bearer didn’t have a barrier ability she can use whenever to make the next hit she takes so 0 damage, that one it’s own makes her so tough
They are only difficult if you fail to isolate their moves. The secret comes essentially forcing their AI to overlap attacks, their AI really REALLY doesn't like this. Usually they will swap to long range attacks that if you then are quick enough its not hard to dodge both ranged moves and start the all to classic booty clapping. As the other panics after a while of clapping one or the others booty leaving the other one open. The only real time this fight gets truely ugly is if you make the all too classic mistake of killing one or the other off too early and you end up with the psychopathic 3rd phase that will royally make your day miserable.
I beat the game on PS4 years ago, all on my ownl. And just now playing it with a friend.
We did them in coop and experienced getting damage out of nowhere when fighting them. It was really weird.
@@dezpotizmOFheaven on PS2?
My top 5 hardest code vein bosses:
1. Two Boreal Brutes from the depths
2. Butterfly of Delirium
3. Boreal Brute
4. Boreal Brute
5. Boreal Brute
Definitely agree about the two boreal brutes. Even in co-op this was insanely hard. Reminded me a bit of the freaking Raven Tengu & Flying Bolt in the side-mission at the Bathhouse in Nioh. Two beefed up basic enemies at once felt more difficult that most boss fights in the game.
Where's Abs. Rad.?
Oh man its so weird hearing trouble with the Butterfly for me. She was easiest for me. Even on ng+ i beat her 1st or 2nd time. Just make sure u watch her poison and listen to sound cues. I havent all the depths still yet.

@@-_-2950 git gud.
@@-_-2950 Dunno, maybe Blade Bearer was hard (haven't fought her buffed version), but cannoneer, even buffed, was a joke. Besides, it all depends on your build and style of play, he ranked Skull King as #2, but for me (Giant sword from Mizo and Berserk/Atlas build) he was a joke, died to him once because of a oneshot and a brainfart, downed on second try, while Gilded Hunter just turned my ass inside-out, the pain!

My top 10.
10: Successor of the Throat. Leak is such a pain...
9: Argent Wolf Berzerker. Not so much the fight as the journey to the boss room, just complete bs.
8: Skull King. Hits hard but predictable.
7: Queen Reborn or whatever, just a pain in the a** to damage, and the camera just goes nuts if you're locked on, it's the Nameless King in first phase all over again.
6: Pole-dancer. That Slow Debuff is so damn annoying. Was the first boss that gave me real trouble, even with Hermes bloodcode to cure and block the slow.
5: Butterfly of Delirium. Seriously, f**k Poison.
4: Halberd Knight dude. He's combos and second phase are just a sneak peak at what Mido and the Skull King do, but he's faster, and like the Pontiff or Bladedancer from DS3, just doens't stop...
3: Juzo Mido. F**k Inhibit...
2: Boob-stein and Fire-boi. It took me til NG+ to realize I should've actually used the consumables to buff against fire and ice, as well as gifts, made it easier for sure. And I love the depths version with the nice nod to the Ornstein and Smough second phase.
And finally.
1: Super Ice Yeti's. There you are strolling along the snow capped mountainside and there you see one, hunched over looking menacing and hungry, and you think, "so what it's a tougher version of the rest of these Yetis" oh how wrong you are...and then as you approach and the fight begins, you all too quickly realize what a horrible mistake you've made, but it's too late, but wait, it gets worse, in your desperate attempts to fight for your life this monsters Focus Gauge has maxed out, and now he dawns impenitrable armor and proceeds to turn you into confetti...
But then one google search later you learn their ridiculously weak to fire and just swap to an all fire build and roast them...still though, F**K those Yeti's.
Fuck inhibit jesus, i was helping a friend, then BAM, inhibit can't revive ya bro
Huh Actually I do my level 1 bayonett run and I realized that the guilde hunter second fase is a way more easier if you stand near to him. With 1-2 good doge you can avoide 3-5 hit combos. Another way is parrying some of his attacks.
i killed the yetis by dodging and make them fall off the cliffs.....
Lol yes indeed....fuck inhibit.
got stuck at that one even more powerfull yeti guy gaurding a vestige for a while until i saw you could go around the building xD, decided to try it again after beating the game and when his ice armor comes on it still almost impossible to damage him, until he killed himself by jumping off the edge... xD

Even with the A.I, the Ice and Fire duo was hard. So I needed to get outside help.
I think the other different bosses differ depending on weapon, bloodcode, and bloodveil. Some bosses you found hard, I found easy and vise versa like the Successor of the Throat. I would have ranked her higher based on my own build. But that is just me.
You right the bloodcode influence yours stats , the weapon depending on your gaming style, and the bloodveil is literally the armor so yes
yeah that guy with the big red sword killed him on first attempt yet i was level 108 hahaha with a level 9 sword but don't get me started on how hard the fire guy and ice blade girl was like if it was two phases of one at a time would of been easy but just cause that guy with the fire range attacks he always got me from surprize and if i try take the fat fire guy out the ice blade girl teleports with a dash attack it never ended i did beat and u fight the guy with red sword after he was so much easier yet why maybe cause the duo was so hard even with yakumo and me being 106 doing 1800 per hit they have way to much health but that was my practicee playthrough i have to vs them again when i video it hahaha
my first time I had a lot of trouble with them, 2nd time, I managed first try, to my own surprise.
@@zeehero7280 Same. On playthroughs after my first, I have managed them just fine.
You see the A.I in these game are targeting the main player more often rather than companion (not tested with other player yet). So if you pick BB as first target then C feels like guardian father watching his kids from far away and almost giving a constant support while his ass got yanked pretty much too often (could be lack of aggro). And while the other case i wanna see Io epic clash with her other attendant sister but only end up a disappointment, the sister almost not giving a f with Io attacks and easly give up the fight and chase me instead. So yeah its end up as Tom & Jerry chase while me as Jerry hardly having reason to clap her or get clap, she as tom and Io as the dog running around the rock smh.
In my fights with BBC, suprisingly the the BB are not too often meddling other fights not as often the C so im always targeting the C first while BB fight my companion and make sure those two are in my pov to ensure they won't launching sneaky long range attack. Also changing weapon and blood veil between the fights also reccomended since their attack could be nulled with right equipment + buffs.

Gilded Hunter is Ornstein on all sorts of crack. Change my mind
I beat gilded hunter 1st try tho...... he is kinda easy since all of his attack can be guarded, and with a fortified GS you can guard tank all his attack like its noting

@@valenten89 i was using a normal GS on my 1st playthrough and he still as easy to guard tank, all hail the trusty zweihander
The duo has a harder version in the final map void district that is just straight up the hardest boss I've ever fought
yeah well that was much easier for me than the actual duo. i dumped ice queen on my companion and focused down the flame guy. the flame guy is much easier to dodge so i chose him. while ice queen got flame powers after i took him down it didn't matter much. it was roughly the same attacks as flame guy with a little of her own ice attacks. after taking a few of those to the face it was easy to dodge it.
for me the hardest boss was the pole dancer. those damn slide attacks come out of bloody nowhere and always Fed me up. i switched to a caster build after reading some recommendations but that made it even easier to die.... while i eventually was able to kill her, the minimap for that area was almost completely white due to all my deaths.
@@fabiandonvil I am literally the same! The ice pole dancer gave me so much trouble and frustration, until I finally got her movements, moveset and timing down.
Also the duo bosses in the void depths were a huge surprise. i didn't anticipate that defeating one of the two bosses meant the other would restore their health fully, while also gaining the defeated boss' powers. In the original fight i took down the ice queen first, as it was easier to deal with her first. but in the depths version i had to kill the cannoneer first instead, because his moveset was insanely more troublesome with the ice and fire combo.

@@Bonbon-og7cw when you thought that pole dancer Miku was the second boss
Blade Bearer and Cannoneer are no doubt the hardest souls-like boss I’ve ever faced, even after Elden Ring. During my experiences in this game, no other boss gave me so much pain other than the duo but despite the 30+ hours trying to pull out and managing a single flawless victory, I couldn’t help but appreciate how they compliment each other in a sense that they are probably the reverse of each other (One is a really fast melee-focused attacker and the other is a slow range-focused support). This is also the only boss that made me cry out happy tears after I finally managed to overcome the insanity.
But wait…there’s the depths version. Fighting the depths version made me realize how useful the pillars were on blocking most Cannoneer’s attacks since only two of them bypass walls (the eruption and the flame rain). And also the fact that if one of them dies, the other gets a buff OnS style. I’m still trying to get a Lvl 1 flawless victory on that one up until this day and every one of those attempts is the embodiment of having to face some of my worst nightmares. Even if I really had a hard time against Malenia, a boss that forces the player to beat her flawlessly, I actually died to Crypt Spire Blade Bearer and Cannoneer around 10 hours longer than when I died to Malenia and I wouldn’t want to imagine how much of an extra time I have to spent on their depths version, the absolute terror that I’ve heard people speaking horror stories about and that they are actually a reality.
Also the problem with blade bearer and cannoneer is that since Code Vein isnt really difficult for a souls like, having a boss like that is kinda hard. Also most of the boss killer builds are useless. Also just target one of them is risky since the other one can attack you (if you use companion) .
For the dephts version the hardest things are that you can't hide and attacking both of them is now useless, bc one will regenerate.
Gilded hunter can also be hard because the way how you play before isnt the same as how you have to play against it (like rolling toward him)
I really love Code Vein, I never did the dlc but if i'm not wrong the bosses are also ones of the hardest of the game

ridge of frozen souls, the rollie boi.. killed me more than any boss.
Rollie boi? Ah, you mean the tanky yetis. Buffing your weapon with flame should cancel the ice shield they cast.
In all seriousness, next to bosses the likes of Blade Bearer and Cannoneer, the next likely killer in Code Vein has to be the environment. I love this game, probably give it an 8.5/10, but MY GOD the devs must really have had a hard-on for making the non-boss areas frustrating to compensate for the availability of AI companions.
Cathedral? Some broken railings and a convoluted floor plan. It's frustrating the longer you spend lost within it.
Howling Pit? Slowed movement and dodging, which can be fatal that early in the game.
City of Falling Flame? You like spamming dodge? You like quick dashing? Too bad, enjoy the flames and maybe a side of enemy damage.
Crown of Sand? Your high damage gifts and alleviating buffs mean jack if you can't even use them. Sorry, mage builds.
Half the areas in the game have some annoying gimmick to them. Again, I love this game nearly as much as Dark Souls but I feel the environmental hazards were a smidge excessive.
@@zen_7748 Counterpoint to that; outside of the City of Flame, every area's environmental hazard has a gimmick to it.
The Cathedral is hard to traverse, but verticality is key, forcing you to look up and down to find your path forward.
The Howling pit slows you down, but almost every enemy has their back turned to you, allowing you to get Cheeky backstabs in without much difficulty or failing that cut down half their HP before the fight even begins.
Crown of Sand has several areas to stand on where you WONT lose Ichor, at least one every fight. The key is proper spacing there, with some added "skill base" forcing you to use your base weapon if you haven't before.
Fire buff on your weapon eats him up, I learned this in the depths
@@zen_7748 Now that u mention the effects of all those levels it reminds me of Megaman X6 nightmare system. Although i think X6's effects are a little deadlier. And no their not 100% similar games but that's just what it reminds me of .
@xerohwun Bruh i called them "Zed lookin mfkers" cuz they do look like zed from league of legends. I just baited them to roll off the map rofl.
The Blade Bearer and Cannoneer were annoying even with a partner because the other boss will something randomly decide to de-aggro from your partner and start attacking you (usually off-screen or behind. It's real annoying to dodge an ice attack only to be hit with a fireball from behind that you weren't even expecting to have to worry about dodging.
Mido and Skull King were my two favourites plus the motivation of "I WANT that sword." helped a lot when it came to beating them.

The moment you realize he was taking on bosses WITHOUT Queenslayer code. It has a code restricted gift that give you INSANE damage increase, dodge buff, AND a full heal. Only down side is in several minutes you will die if you don't win. But with some of the post Queen's Knight if you don't win in 5 minutes you probably die anyways.
Just for corrections, Queenslayer

Good to know how long that ability lasts, I was adverse to using it since I didn't know how long I'd get. Unless it literally tells you with a meter or something
@@originalname5096 actually it is three but you can extend it to 4 and a half
@@originalname5096 The ability was nerfed. It now lasts for 1 minute, making it damn near worthless unless the boss has less than 15% health remaining.
Blade Bearer and Cannoneer are literally so much harder than everything else that it felt like I accidentally set a hidden difficulty setting to maximum. They were so unbelievably infuriating that I dropped the game for a full fucking year and forgot about it until I happened to notice it in my library.
Its obviously harder to fight solo but even with a partner its nothing short of pure controller smashing bullshit. The bosses change targets seemingly at random, sometimes literally mid combo. Cannoneer can be on the opposite end of the map with your partner just fuckin laying into him with every skill they have and he will just ignore it and target you with his infinite range attacks that spawn directly beneath you, that usually explode right as you're coming out of a roll dodge away from Blade Bearer. Mid combo against Cannoneer? Bearer will put sonic to shame and sprint across the arena so fucking fast that you've respawned at the mistle before you even realized that she just wombo combo'd you. Not to mention both of them hit like overloaded trucks if the trucks were packed with military grade explosives, set on fire, and then pushed down a very tall hill with you directly in its path. EVERY hit takes at least 2 or 3 heals to recover from, if you even get the time to heal, and if you dare slink back far enough to try the two of them will wipe out your partner in the span of two god damn nanoseconds leaving you completely helpless to even bother putting up a fight.
After fighting this boss I was left in utter disbelief that somehow Cuphead and Sekiro were engulfed in pathetic controversies from journalists too stupid to learn how to play the game, but this actually near impossible battle that Hercules himself would have to beat as one of his 12 labors if he existed today, did not.
Nioh 1 and 2, The Surge 1 and 2, Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Lords of the fallen, none of these games have produced a boss that in my opinion rivals the challenge Cannoneer and Blade Bearer pose. In terms of action rpg's, maybe even across all genres, it might be THE hardest boss I've ever faced.
I keep seeing everyone say that. I literally one shot both of them on my first try, I WISH I had recorded it. Considering everyone's reviews on them, I'd say I got lucky.
For the record I went for the Blade Bearer first and had Yakumo go after the Cannoneer.
I did them first try on my first playthrough, didn't understand why people considered them hard. Did a new playthrough recently, and I don't know how the hell that is the same boss, took me about 40 tries to do. That first attempt was 100% just luck.
Late reply, but Cannoneer's 'explode the floor below you' attack targets both you and your partner, so he will always apply a little pressure regardless of who is fighting him. I found that trying to take him out yourself and then ganking the Blade Bearer worked a little better, but getting the AI (both partner and enemy) to work with you is hell. I usually had to run around trying to make BB target my partner again several times because she will randomly aggro you.
And then you get to Void District.
Still my favorite fight.
Queen's Knight and his Reborn vresion got me probably the most memorable gameplay moment in the entire game. When I first faced him in memory level, I managed to wittle him down to approx. 25-35% of his hp, when he finished off Jack. I was *still* somehow getting hang of the game, and this was the moment I knew I had to go perfectly, as I didn't had any healing left. I did it.
And when I found his Reborn version in the outskirts, I knew shit is about to get real. And once again, I wittled him down to 25-35%, and then he slashes off my partner. That was just extremely fitting considering the story, and the fact that I once again managed to finish him off was extremely uplifting.
I had a similar experience with the Reborn fight. Dude axed Eva off almost immediately after entering phase 2, and I tried to resurrect her but was a second too late on getting the teal off, so I thought the run was dead. But, something clicked and I ended up playing super well till he was down to like 5-10%. I had that passive that gives you a poison buff when you’re focused on, and managed to poison him right before he caught me in a combo and melted me. Just as my character fell, while I was still in that window where a partner can revive you, the poison killed him and I got revived by the post-boss heal. Hilarious, clutch way to end such an intense fight

@@aname8174 Thanks for correction 5 years later lol, I honestly forgot about this game
Honestly, pole dancing syrin was the firat boss that actually sped up and essentially said; your tutorial fights are over, time to die.
I honestly think she was harder than most other bosses in the game (by difficulty on a new playthrough for a new player. Her mobility and damage against a squishy, quick mobility, no cast speed dark mage made her daah a near oneshot.
For a melee i do have to say she is a bit easier
Delirium is actually the first for that. The jump from Oliver to her is ridiculous..
Eh, I found the pole dancer easy, same with insatiable Despot, but my goodness did the Butterfly of Delirium slap my booty hard, took me like 10 tries to get her down, hated the Argent Wolf Berserker as well, because those other bitches along the way always give me a hard time.
order affected it, you either fought her or butterfly first, and wing to a restart i fought them in different order, generally the first one you fight will whoop you, and the second will be easier, though setting the passive resists for poison and slow are required from coco's code.
@@ryanweible9090 i guess not? I fight the butterfly first, which is left me with a portion of HP but survive on the first try. Then go thru the next boss on the dried trenches places. Fight the boss around 3-4 try and then that frkin boss on howling pit. I didnt know how much i tried but it sure does a lot.
For me the hardest bosses were as follows (from the perspective of a person who always played with A.I. and friends at the same time.)
Butterfly of Delerium: Mainly because poison and limited healing. When I found out about the gift that stops poison, it became easier, and the dodges were easy enough after realizing how her attacks worked. My friend still has trouble with her.
Blade Bearer and Canoneer: Or as I prefer to call them, Whornstein and Hough. took me at least 15 tries with everyone before I took the Souls approach and walked away for a while. Funnily enough, I managed to beat them much easier without my friend. Dodging BB was easy enough after a while, but C's flame trap kept killing me by me being too greedy. Probably would have been easier if I remembered the ice and fire resistance stuff. Oh well.
Juzo Mido: This Fucker. I ended up fighting him on my own with the A.I. companion. Up until this point I had been using the Zweihander block as my means of escaping damage. Worked pretty well too, up until this point, where it blocked off access to my ichor, followed by a swift and savage death to my companion, followed by a swift death to me. Had to change my entire build for this fight alone. Lucky for me, The Skull king seemed exactly like this boss only without the ability to remove my moveset, so he was a piece of cake.
For the argent wolf berserker, the first time I got to him I just kept on back stabbing him every time he got up and won it without getting hit. I was really confused if he was a real boss
Real bosses dont allow backstabs. He is a mini boss.
Difference - He is a mini-boss, otherwise, bosses don't allow backstabs.

Hardest boss in the game: Character creation
The depths version of blade bearer and cannoneer is even more insane to solo, you have no pillars to hide behind to block some of cannoneer’s fireballs, it’s an open field and if you kill blade bearer first, cannoneer gets buffed and is now able to use ice attacks. I managed to solo it twice, not doing it ever again and I don’t even wanna know what happens if I kill the cannoneer first.
Pretty much the same thing. Blade gets buffed and starts doing fire attacks. It's basically a proper variant of Ornstein and Smough.
I guess this list was biased towards Melee builds.

Executioner took me like 50 times, even with a partner. The struggle was real. Glad to see she was higher on the list
The bosses rankings change drasticly depending on your build, super fast bosses are easy with tank builds while a total hard mode with glass cannons. Queen's knight is a good example.
And then Blackblood liberator with Queens Ribcage makes Gilded Hunter even easier
Things even out in ng8 lvl1 or something likes that
The hardest boss is throat no matter what the build
Queen’s knight and Gilded Hunter back to back was so damn painful. Though Queen’s knight Reborn was completely destroyed since i knew his moves so well lol
Maybe it was because at the end of the game something in me finally clicked, but the Skull King was pretty easy to fight for me. But I have to give you props for having the balls to fight Blade Bearer and Canoneer alone. I'm fairly new to souls like titles so I didn't even try that solo. I had partner with me, but even then the bosses are made to swap their aggro at certain intervals so if you get too comfortable fighting one, the other will jump in to fuck your day up faster than you can blink.
Successor of the breath took me two tries and invading executioner took me I swear over 50 i was stuck on her for two months
Executioner is both the hardest boss I have faced and at the same time the easiest. To put it simply I fought here almost one hundred times with a friend. Then we found out that if two idiots run right up to her legs with hammers she can’t do shit.
He's soloing the bosses. With the AI partner, Successor of breath is much easier. The game is also designed around a 2-3 member party, so bosses have 2-3 times the health that would be reasonable for solo play.

Main strat for gilded hunter in my experience was actually keeping close during the powerup state. It felt like running back was the worst thing to do, and once I stayed close on him I could handle the attacks quite easily. Yes, this is definitely the right strat for him. I noticed in the recording of this fight in this video he was back dashing a lot. His up close attacks timing is really easy to get used to and is almost always 2-3 attacks. Minus the explosion.
In general, I feel like there isn't much reason to back far away from most bosses outside of getting away AoE.

@Soda Ramen that doesn't make sense. Given he just showed EVERY boss.
There's no spoiling the story; the Ribcage is very clearly a female by the design. Everything he said spoils the boss names and their fights themselves. He shows a little bit of things, like with Judo, that are very small spoilers, but the lack of the rest of the context and speech make them negligible. I say this as one who is short of beating the final boss and is very much against spoilers.
Also, I'm here now to see how tough he thinks all the bosses are and he actually is giving good logic behind everything.
o ye big brain time
@@StellaBorneWatches honestly Invading executioner needs to be a little lower, you can cheese her dash by rolling foward and it'll barely hit, along with that, if you've got a high damage weapon like a GS/hammer or a +3 sword or halberd at around level 40, she can be combo stunlocked into up to three staggers if you get real lucky.
good ol' gank sqaud boss is where they belong while mido should be one lower, Dark Knight is still harder.
and the Cat successor (forgot name and not checking) should be WAY lower, she's prone to heavy weapons and staggers all the time
Should be obvious from her giant gape
Months later and I finally finished the game so here's my general opinions on all the bosses after traversing through this post-apocalyptic scape with the Halberd-Wielding She-Demon Io by my side. Long comment incoming! (Seriously though Io is best girl, fight me.)
--
Oliver Collins: I feel like even if Louis hadn't been a mandatory partner for the level that fighting Oliver would still be really easy. I consider him basically to be the game's equivalent of the Asylum Demon.
Butterfly of Delirium: Oh good grievance, fuck this Cronenberg-esque bug hybrid and her poison. This was the first time I genuinely struggled and I had to change my strategy to wielding a Bayonet while Yakumo tanked the hits. On repeat playthroughs though it's just more of a speedbump.
Invading Executioner: Hatsune Miku sure let herself go and it shows. That slow-debuff has given me nightmares and fighting her again in the Depths nearly broke my spirit... and then I found out that she was weak to the Stun debuff and I basically got her to 30% HP before phase 2 started.
Insatiable Despot: Honestly I forgot this guy existed. The entire area that is the Trenches was way harder than the Despot, which is a shame because the boss itself has an interesting design. I'm just used to fighting big-ass bosses I guess.
Argent Wolf Berserker: All bark, mostly no bite. And then he hit me with the hammer and I started reconsidering my decisions to taunt him. Also bringing Mia to this fight made it helluva lot easier than it should have due to her Bayonet.
Queen's Knight: I honestly would've had less issues with the Knight if it wasn't for the forced co-op with Jack, who has the tendency of being ridiculously aggressive while also not having the best defenses. (Seriously, Heimdall is not meant for tanking Jack.) So yeah, I had way more troubles with this guy not because it was a hard fight, but because he hits like a truck and Jack Rutherford has confusing AI.
Successor of the Ribcage: I destroyed her maybe a little bit faster than I should've simply because of my experiences as a Bloodborne veteran. Her teleporting was a pain though, bah.
Successor of the Breath: Again, might be because I had AI partners with me throughout the game, but I had less troubles with this one than expected. The goddamm rocket jump is a pain in the ass though.
Gilded Hunter: I got so angry fighting this guy that I just equipped a Zweihander when he was buffed and blocked all of the hits. Yep. That was how annoyed I was.
Successor of the Claw: Around this part of the game I wound up having my build be almost finished and I noticed that I did a helluva amount of damage as a result. She did put up a bit of a fight and I almost died a few times, but thanks to the old-fashioned booty smacking and the Cleansing Light buff (restores 70% of your HP if you get damaged) I didn't really have both feet in my grave.
Successor of the Throat: Oh jeez, this one gave me way more trouble than the other Successors combined due to one thing - THAT GODDAMN LEAK DEBUFF. I swear, in the end I panic-slapped her to death because I didn't have much else.
Blade Bearer and Cannoneer: I was very surprised that I defeated them on my first attempt? It was a super cool fight and Bladelady almost destroyed me, but she went down a lot faster than I thought due to me using a Fire weapon. Meanwhile Pyrough was just... there. (And then the Depths rematch kicked my ass.)
Juzo Mido: I hate this old man, I really do. Inhibit is the most annoying debuff and because I used the Queenslayer bloodcode I was dead in two to three hits, and so was Io. I legitimately had my hands shaking after I finally killed him.
Queen's Knight Reborn: This teleporting bastard nearly had me at the edge of insanity. Not only does he hit like a freight train but the teleporting and the Leak-inducing aura just made him even harder. The second I defeated him I just went "Thank god, it's over" and he's the only boss that made me feel that way.
Attendant of the Relics: I'd say she's more of a Maiden Astraea that can actually fight than a True King Allant expy, but eh. I did underestimate her damage at some point, but yeah she's probably one of the easiest bosses alongside Oliver. Quite the breather though.
Skull King: Never underestimate old men in Soulslikes, seriously! I legit got Gehrman flashbacks on multiple occasions with how I easily got wombo-comboed into the abyss.
The Virgin Born: I actually wound up dodging the lightning barrage simply by getting behind him. It wound up making the fight way easier and almost reminiscent of the Moon Presence in a way.
My hardest fight IMO was definitely Guilded Hunter. There would be times where I whittled the bastard down to 10% HP only for him to go Super Saiyan again and melt both me and my partner. Then the immediate attempt after would see me completely throw it out before I even got him below 60%. Blade and Cannon took me maybe 7 tries. Gilded guy on the other hand. I remember spending a day on this guy and still failing miserably
Um, Jack is an aggressive fighter and his blood code does fit his fighting style. Hell, his Communal Gift plus Final Journey, the boss fights would be over quickly. Don't underrestimate Jack, he is a good guy.
@@MrsCutieeCake Oh now I definitely can agree to that (I've even used Jack as an AI partner in later Depths maps and he's been really good), but during the whole flashback level it was VERY common for me to have him suddenly just run off and get surrounded a bit too quickly. I also didn't have either Final Journey (and the blood code it belongs to) or his communal ability since you don't get that until after you've defeated the Successor of the Throat.
Maybe I just gotta give him another proper chance, wouldn't be against it.
I beat C BB on my first attempt too. I was a cosmetics person so my blood veil and weapon are suitable for dealing with BB. I just baited BB to the ends of corridor (fat C doesn't move) and beat her normally. Run out of healing and was left at 84 HP out of my 3.2k HP cuz I kept getting baited by C fire splash not on purpose. Skull King and Gilded was pretty hard I hardly feel anything getting clobbered by both. Skull King almost broke me with near clutch moments I wanted to cry.
You know, if I heard correctly, they nerfed Cannoneer and Blade Bearer. It used to literally be like Ornstein and Smough where if you killed one, the other would get buffed back to full hp with new attacks and both elements. Go to the Void Depths. One of them has it
